Khaat's mother made space on their bench for Khaat to sit between them. She sat on the right of Khaat and her father sat on her left. "She had a vision, Katherine," Robert said, still tending to Khaat. He wrapped her in a blanket. He checked the baby by laying his hand on her stomach. "You were lucky, Baby. It's fine," he told her, "That is one tough little kid you've got. But you're going to be sore for awhile, I think. You hit the ice pretty hard. "What did you see, Khaat?" "A woman and a man. But I'm not sure exactly what I was seeing." "Enough, Khaat," Robert said, "we have to preserve this child. Stop. Warm up and rest."

Khaat watched huddled close to her father, who laid his hand on her elbow to keep the pain at bay. They watched others who had taken advantage of the beautiful bllue lights as a romantic way to wind up their evening with a kind of candlelit skate.

emily watched the fire falling asleep in edwards arms again. it had been along day actully a long week for her. and edward held her humming quietly

As the evening grew late, some of the guests started to leave. Khaat woke up Emily gently. "Emily, please take Edward home to our house and settle him into one of the extra bedrooms for the night. It's getting late. I will be there in a moment. I needto stay a bit and help them clean up their farm from the mess we've made. And then I will be there. "

Haley was a little nervous, she had been invited by Hafiz to go skating with him and his friends house.
