Spending the day at Khaat's House

Robert and Katherine responded to Khaat's call by simply grabbing their leather shoulder bags and jumping through the Floo network to Khaat's house in Hogsmeade. Robert saw Mis and Emily. Emily was obviously the center of Khaat's attention at the moment, but Mis was tired today. Robert didnt' want to see that with her pregnancy either. He went over and hugged Mis and kissed her forehead. "Hi, Baby," he smiled, "Why don't you get off your feet? Granddad is here now." He gave Emily a hug and said, "We have some work to do, don't we?"

Katherine came in through the floo network and put her bag down on a chair. She hugged and kissed both girls and said, "I'll take Emily upstairs, Robert and I'll catch up with you in a few minutes." She escorted Emily upstairs and helped her to be sure she had everything she needed to take a shower. While Emily was showering, Katherine was getting her room ready.

Downstairs, Robert made a couple of small glasses of potions. He had already diagnosed both girls when he had hugged them. He made one glass of potion tailored for each girl's needs. He took the first glass to Miseria. "It won't taste bad," he promised, "And it will keep your fatigue from harming your baby. It will help you relax so you can forget your stress for awhile and rest. Your baby needs that right now. Drink. It will taste like berries."

Katherine came back down for Robert's potion for Emily, and he sent it upstairs with her.

emily came out of the bathroom and went in and sat on the bed looking around the room quietly

Katherine brought in the little glass that had the potion in it. "Drink this. It will help you be able to rest and feel better. It won't taste bad--I promise. Unless you don't like a cherry vanillla flavor. Once you drink that, I'll help you into bed so you can rest. You're probably more tired than you know because Robert does see a blood loss, and that will make you more tired than you normally would be. It is important that you rest for a few days. " She handed the option to Emily. "I think by tomorrow this time you'll start to realize how much better you feel. I think right now your mind is on too many other things to realize how tired you are."

emily drank the postion like she was told knowing she wasn't going to get any where with not doing what she was told"thank you." she said to katherine

"Thank you, Emily," Katherine said. "Emily, so you know, I am a seer. I have been seeing deep darkness around you. A great deal of anger. I know you have been through a very difficult time, but I feel that the anger I am seeing is yours at what you've been through for a number of years. Please don't make any choices or decisions about your life, or about what you believe you need to stand for or support until you talk to Khaat or Robert or me. Believe it or not, even though we are not your family, we do love you. We do not want to see you come to harm over making a choice out of your emotions. We will never replace the people you loved, but if you let us, we will take care of you and make sure that you do have a family of sorts. You won't be alone. I guess I'm asking that you not shut us or Khaat out and let us help you. You have a right to be angry, but don't let that walk you right into perhaps the biggest mistake of your life."

"yeah," emily said looking at katherine "ill be sure to talk to you all."

"And when you're feeling better, I'll take you into London and help you get some clothes," she smiled. "Don't worry about that. I'll let you rest now. Get some sleep, my dear. You've fought enough of a battle by yourself for now." She kissed Emily's forehead and left her to sleep.

emily lay in the bed stairing at the ceailing and wondered what mis was doing and what Kathrin ment by what she had said

It had been a long hard day at St. Mungos. Khaat was needed in too many places at once. She didn't telll anybody that she had actually fainted on the floor of her office. She woke there a few minutes later, managed to get up and get going again. She knew that happened to pregnant women, but she knew her father would worry, so she didn't plan on saying anything.

She apparated home, glad to be away from London. The house was quiet. Too quiet. She walked into the study and found her father there. "I was starting to wonder if anybody was here," Khaat said.

"Your girls are resting," he said taking off his reading glasses and looking up from a book he'd found. "And I haven't seen Gar today." He looked at her deeply, frowning. "Khaat, you look positively all done in."

"I am, Daddy," She admitted, exhausted. "It was an awful day there today. We've got a whole family there with some sort of wretched illness that we can't figure out. I think its contagious, so the most I know how to do is to isolate them and keep them comfortable. but I don't need it to spread."

"I'll go there with you tomorrow and see what I can do," he said gently. "Come sit down, and let me take care of you now."

"I'd like that," she said softly, feeling almost worn to tears. She sat on the sofa, and he went into the kitchen to bring her a potion to make her feel better.
