And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Family Trip to Romania Empty Family Trip to Romania

Post by Khaat Lupin Thu Dec 31, 2009 6:15 pm

Khaat landed in Transylvania, courtesy of Rob's portkey. She had taken hold of both the portkey and his arm, and Miseria's, just to be sure no one got separated. It reminded her of her first trip with Uncle Remus with a port key. He'd used his old Gryffindor winter scarf, and she had let go midway through the transport and had wound up falling into a creek up to her waist, out in the middle of a cow pasture. It had taken Uncle Remus hours to find her. The memory still made her smile, even though it hadn't been that pleasant back then.

She looked around at the little Romanian neighborhood that looked like it had been frozen in time. It looked like nothing had changed here for many, many years. She took a moment to look around and take in her surroundings. The neighborhood clearly had wizards in it. She could feel their energy, but things were overcast and cloudy and bitterly cold here, with several inches of snow. She could feel the fear in the wizarding world here. Obviously the deaths of the Manson family had people terrified. They would be watched, she was sure. "We shall have to be very careful, Rob, "she said softly, "We're being watched."

Miseria was feeling better when she could feel land under her legs. She was never traveling by a portkey, though, she liked it, it was kind of odd for her. She looked around and then she saw the village - well not the village for those people who first came here. It seemed more like a little town, actually. People were hiding now in their houses, looking closely at the new entering people.

"Just don't take out your wands and act natural... Like you are visiting this place every day," Miseria said and walked straight ahead. They have landed too far from her home so they'll have to walk for fifteen minutes or so. She pushed her bag on her back and looked at both of them.

"And also I'm thankful for you coming here," she said, looking at Robert and Khaat. They have offered her help what every people wouldn't.

"Not a problem at all, Miseria, "Khaat said. "Tell me. Is there in inn here? I'm thinking it might be less painful for you if we maybe did not stay at your house tonight. Maybe there are too many memories there for you. But you tell us what you are comfortable with. It also might be safer. I don't know why the Death Eaters did what they did, but I sure don't want them coming back."

Family Trip to Romania Empty Re: Family Trip to Romania

Robert rolled his eyes. He wasn’t the epitome of casual and never was. He was rubbish at pretending he wasn’t up to something because he was usually up to no good but not so much in the Death Eater sense - more playful and less evil. Nether the less he took his wand out and tucked it in its normal place behind his air. He also found a packet of Muggle cigarettes which interested him greatly. He smirked and stuck one behind his ear on top of the wand with every intent of using it later and tucked the box back in his jacket.

“They’re not coming back.” Rob said, picking up the bags. “Even if they did I’m sure they’ll leave pretty sharpish when I tell them just how good their wives are in bed.” he mused. “Although, that might end in my death so maybe not..”

Rob, however, had fixed his eyes on a pub not to far away from where they’d appeared. He could have killed for something to drink and the healed wound was beginning to aggravating so if he drank himself numb he’d be fine - or at least drunk. Either one wouldn’t phase him and both would be a plus. Then he could pass out for a few hours and let himself heal. He knew it wasn’t just that bloody cut on his back that he’d managed to inflict on himself.

Khaat ignored Rob's apparent irritation. She knew as well as anyone that wizard wounds sometimes irritated awhile after healing, but something else seemed to be bothering him. Something that had changed his mood drastically. She had to place her first priority on Miseria. She wanted to let her go to her home and perhaps get a few sentimental things for tonight. Then she wanted to find an inn so that they could get away from the stress. Perhaps, once they found Miseria's family home, she could send Rob to find that inn. He was very resourceful, she felt, and she had no doubt he'd find a place for them to stay for a few days.

Miseria looked at them over the shoulder, rolling her eyes at Robert:"Yeah but the last thing you'll remember is green lightening," she said in a wry voice and then she replied to Khaat:"We will sleep at my home. There are a lot of rooms what were made for guest only," she said. She would never let them sleep in some kind of Inn. And so wouldn't she.

"Though, they are dead and this house is full of memories, espessially my passed childhood, I won't let them haunt me down this way," she said to them. She knew that her parents are in better place where no one will do them no harm and they won't have to suffer humans pain. Their time was just over and they can't do nothing about it.

Khaat smiled slightly at Miseria's standing her ground with Rob. And if she wanted them to stay at her house, and it wasn't going to be too painful for her, then that was alright with her. She stayed quiet and just kept walking.

OOC: I will godmod you a little.

When they reached the end of the village, or how Miseria called it, she stood infront of the big house, walls made of red bricks. She looked up at all those three floors, at the windows and then black roof. Sighing quietly, she stepped closer to the big brown wooden door. This looked like a mansion, only a bit smaller. What could she do with this house what she will hate sooner or later?

She took out her wand and pointed at the door which opened and then she stepped in. The hallway was light and next to the walls there were few chairs so the guests could sit down and take off their shoes. Floor was covered with the white carpet - her mother wasn't afraid of it getting dirty. Every day she cleaned it with magic and it looked new as always. Sighing quietly, she dropped her bag on the floor and hang her coat on the coatrack.

Then she walked trough some little beige cases, few paintings on what were Transylvanian grounds and Romanian cities and then she entered the living room.

This was mostly in brown colors. In the middle of the room was big sofa so everyone could sit on it. Next to it were two fauteuils and in the middle of it all - one table. And like in every other home, walls were decorated by paintings of the grounds. They were brought here by her father when he was traveling to many other countries. There were few doors what were locked. She ignored them and looked around. Without those greetings what her parents usually gave her, this house seemed so cold and lonely.

"Come, I'll show your rooms," she said, not even looking at them. Turning to the right, she walked straight ahead, passing closed doors what were mostly leading to nowhere. They were just like lockers. Her mother loved to make jellos so she kept them there where was usually cold.

Miseria walked up on the brownish stairs and stopped in the middle of the corridor. Looking at the both sides of it, she felt horrified when empty and white walls were looking back at her, only window giving a light to this place. She wasn't used to it when it was so silent here.

She looked at them and then back and pointed with wand at one door which fell open. It was light bedroom. Miseria stepped in and looked around in this familiar room.
There was big bed pushed against the wall and covered with white bedspread. Also there were two big wardrobes, one mirror, table, two little cases both on the each side of the bad, little lamp on both of them and huge carpet what was infront of the bed. There was also one table and chair. It seemed that each thing was beige in this room exept curtains what were black and lamp on the table, what was black as well.
And there was one door which lead to the bathroom so the one who was in this room didn't have to use other ones what were in houses.

She turned herself at Khaat:"This will be your room," she simply said in numb voice and then waved with a hand to Robert. She went out of the room and pointed to other door what was next to Khaat's room. It fell open and there was almost the same room what Khaat had, only in a bit darker colors.

"I will be downstairs if you need me," she only said, however, she'd wanted to hear if they need something else.

OOC: I've never described a house before. I feel so strange doing that. *_*
Sorry if you didn't understand nothing.

OOC: I understood it just fine. Good work.

Khaat looked at Miseria, "Would you like a few minutes alone? Or do you want us with you? You need to tell us what you need. I know this will be very difficult, but we're here. You don't have to be alone unless you want to be. And I know everything looks so empty without your family here. I do know exactly how that feels. When it happened to me, I needed time alone, and I needed time with people sometimes too. We'll help however we can."

She nodded and stepped few steps on the stairs, looking far away. "If you need something then just call me," she said again, not answering Khaat. She was already holding back hear tears. What would happen if she will talk to them about her past life and about her parents. Holding her breathe, she went back down to the living room.
