"That's terrible!" Sterling said sincerely. He suddenly saw the impending storm in a new light a stifled a third shiver. "Well at least you can stay outside now that it's... er... darkening up." he said conversationally.

Chase froze. Vampire? What...she looked at them the smile sliding off her face for the first time. Then looked up at the sky. "I can't believe it!" She said trying to ignore the fact that they were talking about being Vampires. Vampires scared her..a lot. She shook her head and then shivered. "Wow..it got so dark."She said looking up at the sky. "And cold."She let her hands fall down to her sides and looked at them all. "I didn't dress for such drastic change in weather."She said slowly. She looked down at them all and then smiled at Sterling.

ne'os could sense her fear "does the thought of us bieng vampires scare you?" he asked her. "you know we arnt evil" he said.

Sterling gazed again at Chase. She seemed uncomfortable for some reason. He tore his gaze away and looked at Ne'os. "I never knew that." he was angry with himself for not knowing something that seemed trivial to others. Shouldn't he have heard something like that in Care of Magical Creatures? Sterling then reminded himself that Vampires weren't lower beings, and that's probably why he didn't know.

He looked back at Chase when she started talking. He furrowed his brow. "You should probably go get a cloak or something," he offered, then realized he was wearing one and felt awkwardly greedy. "Or you could use mine... I'm warm enough in my clothes." he lied, suppressing another shiver.

Chase looked at Ne'os and nodded carefully. "I actually didn't know that."She said softly and looked ashamed. "I guess we all have a view of Vampires as evil."She said shaking her head. "Oh that would be nice Sterling. I sure don't have much clothes on."She said giving an embarrassed grin to him.

"yep" he said "its a bit old the minitsry is refusing to send me anything fresh for some reason" he said handing her a vial.

Sterling wondered awkwardly what was in the vial. Well, the WERE Vampires... he shuddered and inadvertantly backed away from them a few steps. He was suddenly very conscious of the precious red drops visiting his heart 100 times a minute and became oddly protective of it. He clutched his heart nervously and noticed it was trying desperately to free itself from his chest... pounding almost audibly.

"Calm down Sterling."She said softly putting her hand on his shoulder. "I believe them when they say they aren't evil."She said softly holding onto his shoulder. She looked him right in the eyes. "Calm down."She said softly. She smiled at him softly hoping it might calm him down.
