Chase was bouncing. She kept looking around excitedly, then she turned right to him and beamed at him. Straight at him! His stomach seemed to boil, he momentarily felt as if he was levitating. Mobilicorpus, wingardium leviosa he thought wildly, his mind reverting to academia and spellwork as it so often did when he didn't know what else to think about. Those particular hover spells occurred to him because there was no other explanation to the way he was floating now unless somebody charmed him...
She would glance at him occasionally after that, looking troubled and then smiling and bouncing again when she looked away. He felt inexplicably comfortable and took a step forward offering another smile that he could tell wasn't worth nearly as much as the one he had just been given by Chase.

He searched for something to say, but the only thing he could think of was another awkward comment on the weather. "I can't believe how bright the sun is today... finally without being masked by cloudcover." He likened the cloudy and sunny day as the contrast between his and Chase's personality.
