In need of Answers

She blushed and looked down at her stomach that was unable to be smooshed between them. "What are you sucking up for?" she asked laughing a little. "You are never that sweet sounding." It was true. Well, he was sweet to her but even then it wasn't as sweet as he was being. She let out a yawn and attempted to curl up closer to him as the baby started to kick again. "I wish she'd stop long enough for me to get some actual sleep or rest of some sort." she groaned out pouting a little.

"I'm not!" Varod protested. "I'm just telling you how I feel! I was gone for so long- I need to make up for the lost time with the best compliments I can find!" He kissed her lightly and patted her stomach. "She's like her father- Always giving people a hard time. Right, Ashling?" He smiled and rubbed the belly, feeling his daughter stop kicking abruptly. "Better? I can do this and letcha get some sleep, babe. Is that what you want? I don't need sleep so it's no problem."

"No I know you...you're never that sweet unless you want something so what is it?" she asked looking up at him curiously as she kissed him back. She rolled her eyes. "No offense but the thought of my daughter being just like you isn't exactly appealing." she said trying not to laugh. What he did was way to dangerous for their child to ever be around."

She looked at him and kissed him sweetly on the cheek. "No its ok. I should probably get used to the lack of sleep, unless you are gonna be the one getting up and feeding her." She laughed at the thought of that. "More than likely she will start up again when I start falling asleep. Its what always happens."

"I really don't want anything special," Varod told her. "Just to hold you, really... Whether you like it or not, she's gonna have at least half of me." He laughed and kissed her gently. "You get some sleep. I'll keep her calm until you wake up by rubbing your belly, alright? And we should have nights. One night you feed her, next night I feed her. Sort of like baby duty."

He chuckled and kissed her again, playing with her hair and getting comfortable. "Seriously, it will be fine. She never kicks while I rub your stomach." He grinned at her.

"Good luck with that because I'm not feeding her with bottles." she said wondering what it would be like to watch him try to feed their daughter how she would. She laughed at the thought and the baby jerked and started to kick her again even with him holding her. "Uh I think she just did." she said grimacing in pain.

Varod chuckled. "I will feed her with bottles, duh. Tis because you laughed, Ashling. Now now, calm down in there." He rubbed the belly, feeling the baby calm. "Now, don't you worry about it. I might just make Anti do it. I'm that much of a douche." He kissed her lips gently. "I love you, Ash. You're my one and only until the day I die and even after, if we're lucky."

He leaned back, rubbing her tummy and smiling at his wife.

"I want a castle," Varod decided. "That's where we should live. Let's look at castles. I'm sure we have enough for that. What do you think?"

"Castles?" she asked looking at him a little unapprovingly. "Castles are damp and cold, I don't think it would be a good place for our daughter. Plus most aren't even wired for electricity.. With Alessandra coming so fast I don't want to have to put so much work into a house. I'm really not a decorative type of person anyway V." She kissed his face. "We better get up and get looking while I can still do it. I don't want you to take us somewhere I didn't help pick out too." She moved his hand away from her stomach and slowly moved til she was sitting up on the edge of the bed. "Uh, do you think you could help me?"

"There's an answer to every problem," Varod told her. "In this case, magic! I can make it warm and happy with magic! And I can wire electricity- MAGICALLY! Screw bills, we do whatever we want!" He kissed her gently and stood up, lifting her gently to her feet.

"Maybe we should just look on the internet before we go traipsing off to random places?" he suggested, pointed at the hotel computer, spruced up with complimentary internet connection. "We can even look at castles!" He kissed her again and pulled her over to the computer, magicking two really comfy chairs for them to sit in. "I like castles!"

Ash tried to stay calm. He hadn't taken her hint. She didn't want to say why but she hated castles. She loved them until her parents died, taking her home from visiting one. She couldn't live in one. She didn't smile, "You don't take hints do you? I don't want to live in a damn castle!" Her face was turning red and her eyes squinted as she glared at him trying to keep herself from crying. What was worse than being upset? Being pregnant and getting upset. "My parents died while taking me to see a damn castle!"

Varod pulled her close and stroked her hair. "I-I'm sorry," he whispered, tearing up. "I didn't mean to upset you. I never knew about that. Come on, let's look at mansions or something instead. I always wanted a big house. Oh, and a motorcycle. We can have a family car too, but I want me a bike. That way, I can sing dead or alive and mean it."

He was trying to make a joke, but had a feeling he hadn't done a good job at it.
