In need of Answers

Ash called and ordered there food and was already sitting there eating it when Varod came out of the bathroom. she had a plate full of french toast for her, with eggs, bacon and sausage. Plenty of orange juice and water to drink for the both of them as she looked over at him. "I didn't know what you wanted so I got us the same thing." she said smiling as she started to finish off her plate.

"I do have time to take a shower right?" she asked looking at him. "I took one before I went on that walk last night but I'd like one if we're going to be out all day."

Varod immediately began to dig into his share. "What, did you get them to cook us the whole pig and a few dozen chicken eggs?" he said laughing as he looked at the food. "Sure, you have time to shower. You still wanna keep those clothes on though?" He kissed her cheek before getting back to work on his meal. "Love you."

With that he focused all his attention on the mountain of food. He didn't really touch the toast. He never ate much bread, anyways. As soon as he was finished, he pushed the food away and laid back on the bed awaiting his beautiful wife.

"I was hungry too and you eat everything in sight so..." she downed her glass of orange juice as she stood up. She smiled as he kissed her cheek. "Only if you have something in that bag as comfortable as this dress." she said as she started to walk into the bathroom, turning around to glance at her husband. She didn't like leaving him alone and she didn't like when he went to go take a shower.

She started to get ready for her shower and climbed in once the water was warm enough and quickly finished wrapping up in a towel and standing there staring at herself in the mirror for the longest time, not coming out of the bathroom, crying out as she felt a small contraction.

Varod chuckled and started to looking through his bag, soon finding a dress that was amazingly loose and he knew she would love it and look as amazing as she always did. There wasn't anything you could do to enhance perfection. But if anyone could, it would be his perfect wife.

After awhile V started getting worried. Checking the clock, he saw she'd been in there about forty five minutes. Standing, he went to knock on the door as he heard her cry out. Instead of knocking, he walked right in really fast, eyes wide. "Are you okay?!" he asked urgently, putting his arms around his towel-clad wife.

Ash was taking deep breaths. "Do I look ok?" she snapped without realizing it, holding her stomach. "It hurts." she looked like she was about to start crying as it started to die down. "They keep coming more and more often lately." she said looking up at him. "I'm not sure if thats normal or not. I know it happens when I get upset but I wasn't upset at all. I'm just tired."

She held onto Varod to help hold herself up. "Sorry, I don't think its good for us to be out all day today." She said starting to get upset and crying out again in pain. "I'm sorry!"

Varod pressed his lips against hers. "No you don't, my beautiful Ashling. But it doesn't matter because you look amazing in my eyes. Please calm down. I really don't mind. Either way, we weren't gonna be out all day because we needed to sit and pore over a newspaper to find houses. So how about we do that and tomorrow we go pick out clothes?" He stroked her hair, kissing her again lightly as he whispered consoling words into her ear.

With that he very gently pulled her into the room. "I found you a dress if you want to try it on...?"

"I'd honestly rather just sit here and pour over the newspaper today." She replied looking at him. "At least until this passes and I know I'm feeling up to moving around. I just want to lay down for a minute." she looked up at him apologetically as she was pulled into the room. "I can try it on I guess but I don't think it would be much use if I'm not up to the task of walking around in it." she sat down on the bed and pulled him to her. "I'm so sorry Varod. I really wish she was here already."

Varod shrugged. "Whatever you wish, my love," he said smiling as he cuddled her on the bed. He pulled her to him, he arms lacing together as he pulled them both backwards on the bed, V kissing her lips lightly. "We can lay down as long as you want. I'm happy just having you back in my arms like I've been dreaming about for months." Of course, the only thing that had kept him going were thoughts of his lover.

His hands found her hair and stroked it as he looked her in the eyes. "I missed you so much, Ashling my love. How can I make up my absence?"

"Just hold me?" she asked looking up at him. All these months and then when they had finally gotten the chance to do something together, her contractions stopped it from happening. It was also kind of a good thing since she didn't want to let him out of arms length for a long time. She smiled as she looked up and kissed him lightly on the lips.

"Just until I feel well enough to move ok." she said looking him in the eyes. She still couldn't believe he was back after everyone had told her to give up hope on him coming back, he was there and she couldn't feel better. A part of her wanted to scream out that she was right and they were wrong and give them all a big fat 'I told you so' but she knew that wouldn't be the best thing in the world.

Varod nodded. "Holding you was foremost in my mind the whole time I was gone," he said, smiling as he pressed his lips against her's. All thought in his mind was driven away as he played with her hair. The smell of her hair was amazing as he broke the kiss and pulled her closer, her head over his shoulder. "We can stay here as long as you want, Ashling, my love, my heart, my one and only."

You know, you're really laying on the charm here. Anti said snidely in his mind.
