Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Nikki had waved and smiled to everyone that said hello to her. You look very nice tonight. Nikki said to everyone that spoke to her. Nikki watched interactions go on around her but did not interuppt anything or anyone. She watched Sam and Soph walk off and could only put her hand up to nearly say 'wait', but didn't, so she just sighed and put her hand down and walked over to a vacant table and chair. Why did I even bother.. Nikki said as she shook her head. I could be hunting down Ne'os and murdering him.. Nikki growled to herself.

Timothy arrived at the ministerial ball. He wore a black and white tuxedo with a baby blue tie for this dance. He wore a bit of cologne and had his hair messily gelled up. He searched for people he knew in the room, and saw Sophia, but she seemed busy, so he just made his way to the punch and food table. He had picked up himself a few chips and dipped them in some tasty french onion dip and crunched on them noisily, but did not care as there was almost no one near him.

Godric smiled impishly. Good I'm glad you approve, Because I had Tripp take the liberty of getting you a set of Muggle cloths just in case you wanted to go out in London sometime. If you have any particular taste just call him. He'll come if you're near me and if you not, just send a message to this Floo adress and he'll get it right away. He is at your becon call, unless of course I have need of him. Godric wrote down his Floo address to the Castle, and put it in Zack's jacket pocket.

Godric took out his trusty black flask and took a large gulp, then replaced it. Are you thirsty? Or would you care for a dance? Godric asked with pure honesty to the preferances of the other boy.

"Wassup?" Willow asked Sam after Abbey said hi. "Want some punch?" She offered Sam a newly filled cup of the sweet red punch. "It's really good."

Balls really weren’t Adam’s thing. He was too unsteady on his feet in his opinion but his mother raved about his dancing. Marie had forced him to go to the Ministerial Ball, telling him that it would be good to get out and that he would enjoy it once he was there. Adam could remember the Ministry from when he was a child. He had to go there with his father one time but he couldn’t remember for the life of him why they were there. Because of this memory, though, Adam was able to Apparate to the Ministry without a problem.

Adam appeared with a crack. He was wearing a well tailored suit and he looked just right for the ball. He wasn’t sure what was appropriate but it was a black tie event which meant suits and Italian leather were in where as jeans and converse sneakers were out. The cane which Adam was leaning on didn’t seem to be too pleased to be at ball. Clearly he was worried that Adam was going to discard him somewhere and forget to pick him up before the night ended. He knew what Adam was like and remembering things was not his strong point.

The laughter was already travelling through the Ministry with the light breeze that was drifting in from the open doors. Adam could hear music playing and he itching to dance, even if it wasn’t a song he recognised. Adam tapped the lion head that topped the cane and closed his eyes. His magic reached out and was able to slip into the cane. He opened his eyes once more and found himself looking through the familiar rubies that were the eyes of his cane. Adam smiled to himself and looked around, moving the cane so he could see more.

He had heard the Ministry had been nearly blown to pieces. It looked beautiful now; different decorations were hanging from the walls and ceiling. People were mingling and it seemed as if everyone had a date. Adam was a little bit put off by this but he knew he could deal with it. Balls weren’t just about dancing; he could get to know people here. So, pulling out of the cane’s eyesight, Adam began to follow the sound of the music that was playing.

It was hotter in the ballroom, Adam felt the temperature rise and he suspected it was body heat that was affecting it. He smiled a little and breathed in deeply, smelling the perfume that the women wore and the expensive cologne that the men had rubbed into their skin. He could also smell the sweet scent of the punch which meant that there was definitely a refreshment table around. Adam followed the scent and opened his hand, his palm facing down so he could feel for the table.

His hand brushed the soft material of the table cloth and he turned, running his fingers lightly across it to try and find the punch bowl and some glasses. His fingers brushed the cool glass of the punch bowl and he made a mental note of where it was before finding one of the glasses. He tucked the cane under his arms and moved his fingers around the rim of the punch bowl to find the ladle. Once he did, Adam picked up the glass and poured himself some of the punch. He put the glass to his lips and drank some of the sweet liquid. The night would be interesting to say the least, even if he wasn’t to dance.

The Ministerial Ball - Page 11 Empty Re: The Ministerial Ball

The Ministeral Ball. Definitely not the three words Julia wanted to see in a sentence. Julia hated balls or any type of dances, needless to say she had no idea how to dance "properly". She only attends dances and balls because she knew that all of her friends would be here, and the castle would be empty, so there would be nothing to do. Julia would probably just sit in a corner most of the night, as she never usually enjoyed herself at gatherings like this.

Julia drifted through the double doors into the Ministry, where she heard many people chattering and laughing away. Her eyes searched the room for anyone she knew well enough, but she couldn't find anyone. Julia sighed and approached the refreshments table and poured herself some punch. She had no intentions on drinking alcohol or anything of the sort for a while, she hadn't been feeling up to it lately. Julia lifted her glass to her lips and drank the sweet red liquid.

Julia fixed her dress, as she looked at other girls' dresses in the room and instantly became grateful for wearing such a thin dress, because everywhere she looked, she saw ruffles and flat-out puffy-ness. Her dress was simple and grey, two of her favorite things, though black would have been better. Julia looked over to her left and saw a boy with a cane and dark glasses on, assuming he was blind. She decided to go over and introduce herself to him, maybe make a new friend.

"Hello, I'm Julia" She said, trying to be as friendly as she could, but not being "too" friendly. "Would you like any help?" Julia said, eying his cane. She felt bad for him, he looked about seventeen, much too young to be blind. She couldn't even imagine what it must be like to not be able to see anything, there were too many wonders to see in this world.

She looked as Matt turned his eyes on other side like he was trying to avoid a direct eye contact.Maybe one of them was doing a reasonable thing.

Matt looked at her a very large smile broke his face. "Care to dance Mari?" he asked her grinning. He took her hand and led to on to the dance floor. He then began to lead, "Deja Vu hey?" he asked grinning at her. "Seems like it was only yesterday I sitting on this floor next to you, healing your cuts..." he sighed. "Seemed like only a week ago we were dancing on this floor on Valentines day too..."

Mariana just let herself be lead by Matt once again.Still had no idea how to dance with a bandage on her left hand though she hoped Matt did. "Yeah sure.." was the only thing she was able to say at the moment. "Deja vu all over again...well it was basiclly just a few days ago.." she murmered more for herself when she put her healthy right arm on Matt;s shoulder and caught his other arm as gracefully as she could. "So how long untill they announce the minister?" she asked looking at the guys who were playing a very weird song.

It was hanging on the top of her four poster bed; the dress that she was supposed to wear to the ball. Narcissa sighed and sipped some of the wine from the glass in her hand. Did she truly want to go? Was she even permitted to be there? Well, she didn’t exactly fight on the side of the Death Eaters during the battle so she could hardly be a wanted woman. Narcissa put her glass down on the table by the plush arm chair she was sat in and looked accusingly at the dress. It was still hanging there. She was being foolish, though. The dress wasn’t just going to disappear.

Narcissa got up and walked over to the bed. She took the dress down and looked at it, running her thumbs across the silky fabric. She sighed and clicked her fingers. A house elf appeared beside her and she smiled down at the little elf. She held the dress out to the female and the elf took it from her. Narcissa heard a clap and she opened her eyes to find the elf tugging on her hand, urging her to look in the mirror. Narcissa bit her lip and walked over.

The dress was perfect; it hugged every curve and made her feel more beautiful than she had in years. She span around in front of the mirror and smiled to herself. The elf helped he fix her hair so it was sitting on her shoulders in curls and Narcissa slipped her shoes on. She took her wand off of the vanity and put it in her clutch bag as well as a pouch of galleons and a few bits of make-up. Narcissa looked at herself once more in the mirror and closed her eyes. She Apparated out of the Manor and appeared at the Ministry.

Narcissa walked inside the main ballroom and looked around. She did feel slightly out of her depth being there without Lucius or some sort of escort but she knew that she had to be there to find out who the new Minister of Magic was. She also wanted to have a good time. The music was odd but easily recognisable. She brushed some curls off of her shoulder and walked over to one of the refreshment tables. She picked up a glass and filled it with punch, wondering idly what she would do for the entire night.

The punch was nice. Adam had a sweet tooth so it was just right for him. He turned back to the punch table and picked up the ladle, remembering where it was in the bowl. He poured some more of the punch into his glass and turned back so it appeared as if he was watching the dancing. He assumed people were dancing but he wasn’t sure. He could hear the movement of feet but it wasn’t quick enough for the song that was playing. He heard a voice and his head turned, moving down slightly as he pinpointed where the sound had come from. He smiled toothily and shook his head, he was fine.

“I’m Adam.” He told her. He held up his glass of punch and smiled again. “I’m fine.” He assured her.
Adam assumed she looked beautiful, like every other woman in the room. He couldn’t be sure though and he hated looking upon people in another’s eyes. He hadn’t looked at his mother in years and that hurt him the most. He hadn’t looked at Marie in years but he had grown to accept it somewhat. He had promised her long ago that if he was to look at her then it would only be with his own eyes. Seeing as that was impossible it seemed as if Adam would never look at his mother again.
“Are you enjoying yourself?” Adam asked, Julia.

Matt smiled at her and held her bandaged hand softly, and carefully. "Mari, just forget everything. It's the pass, chances are we'll never see that blasted man again..." he said softly. He looked at her with the utmost affection, he winked and kissed her on the cheek. "Just forget everything..." he said.
