Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Mariana forgat about her bandaged arm for a couple of golden minutes "I wish it was that easy...But even if i do see him he will wish he has never crossed in my way..." she said not changing her tone or her expression in no moment. She just leaned her head on his chest while they were dancing and closed her eyes not really sure what she was doing though it was what she wanted to do.

"If I see that man come near you...he'll wish he were dead..." he said smelling the familiar smell of her hair. He had butterflies on his stomach, and he loved it. Her head was on his chest, she would eventually get cold. He smiled and kissed the top of her head. He was forgetting everything, he wasn't even thinking about the input they would get from the others. To them, all this was was two friends dancing. To Matt and Mari, it was something real....well he hoped.

"It won't give you time before i sent him to obliviant." Mariana said with a low tone trying not to break the moment. She kept forgeting that Matt was a vampire and though he was a bit cold she didn't feel it. Or at least not for the moment.Mariana forgat even there was someone else there though her and Matt didn't do anything inpropriate so she should not have cared anyway. She just hugged him though still in the dancing position and waited for what would happen next.

Matt chuckled softly and looked down at her. Everything seemed perfect, he couldn't think of anything else that could make this night better. He smiled once again and continued dancing with her. "Mari, lets not taint tonight with bad thoughts and feelings. It's perfect, and just wonderful...like you." he said sounding incredibly corny!

The Ministerial Ball - Page 12 Empty Re: The Ministerial Ball

Post by Elizabeth Eplee Sun Mar 07, 2010 11:52 pm

Elizabeth Eplee was not looking forward to this particular event. Balls weren't normally her thing but she had found herself attending two of them within a short period of time. The first, the Valentine's Day one, she had gone to simply because she was bored and thankfully had a dress on hand which she could wear. The Ravenclaw had regretted that decision almost immediately. This ball however was one which she had to attend. Her parents would have slit her throat if she hadn't come out this evening. They were at the ball somewhere, of that Elizabeth could be sure. Her main goal of the night: do her best to avoid them at all costs.

As she entered the room she heard someone making an announcement, though she never saw who exactly it was because she was too busy looking at everyone's attire. There were many puffy, ball gown like dresses which Elizabeth detested. Puffiness and frills were not something she particularly enjoyed. But everyone did look beautiful - at least as far as she could see. She made her way over to the punch, hoping that this ball would be over quickly as she scanned the room for familiar faces.

Jonathan enjoyed dressing up; he wasn't sure if that was normal for a male or not. Of course girls were allowed to get excited about it, talking about their dresses with one another and giggling about their choices of accessories. But guys just never really talked to one another about it like it was some sort of forbidden subject. Some might have called him a metrosexual though he would have denied that until the very end. Jonathan just enjoyed wearing nice things. His mother had been kind enough to send him a new suit through the mail and thankfully she had a good taste in suits.

As he entered the room he immediately took in his surroundings. There were several people there already mingling amongst themselves. Everyone was dressed beautifully. He could have sworn he saw someone with the exact same suit on but found himself mistaken. Goodness, that would have been embarrassing. He kept searching the room until his gaze fell on the one person he wanted to see.

Sophia looked beautiful in her black and white dress. He had never gotten the opportunity to formally invite her as his date but hopefully he could get a dance or two out of her. He'd been nursing a crush on her for a couple of months and was finally getting the courage to make a move. He walked towards her, seeing that she was dancing with her friends he stood still for a moment. Did he dare risk getting rejected in front of everyone? Bucking up his courage he walked over towards her, "Can I have this dance?" he asked, a smile on his face though it was clearly obvious that he was a nervous wreck.

Sammy smiled up at Willow. "Thanks that would be nice." Sammy told her after dancing with Sophia for a little bit. Sammy sat down with the drink and then watched as a guy asked Sophia to dance. This must be the guy she was talking about earlyer. Sammy smiled to see Sophia having fun. Sammy then wondered if Andrian or Anti would show up and be with her. But then she saw Belle and her hopes where dashed. So she stared at the table for awhile, while Sophia danced with her soon-to-be boyfriend.

Gibbs entered the very different hall, it looked nothing like it had before. Little did he know, that the day he started working was the day the Order attacked. He grinned as he admired the newly refurbished Ministry and spotted Jess talking to Khaat. He moved swiftly over to them, wearing his dark blue tuxedo and smiled at them both. "Hello Khaat, Jess!" he said nodding his head to them. "Nice job Jess..." he said putting out his hand for him to shake.

Sophia smiled brightly and her eyes turned blue with happiness when she seen Johnathan enter the room. But she couldn't help not to freeze up when she seen him walking towards her, but surely he wasn't walking towards her right when there was more prettier girls then her in here? Swallowing hard when he saw him coming straight to her and no one else. When he asked if fi he may have this dance she smiled softly at him. "Of course you can Johnathan!"said Sophia giving him a soft warm smile and stood up as her black and white dress hit the floor once again. "You don't mind do you Sammy?"Sophia asked her but she knew Sammy would tell her to just have fun. " I didn't think you would make it."Sophia softly as she realized what she said and would had blushed if she could. Sophia couldn't believe he asked her to dance when she been having a major crush on him ever since she met him.

Sophia didn't care if she was dating him or not, and who said you have to dance with a date? and who knows maybe him and Sophia will dance the night away and become each other dates. She could only dream right? But she hoped it would come true for she really liked him. Sophia felt like a princess wishing on a star and hoping her wish would come true. Shaking her head at how patheic she sounded right now wishing her and Johnathan would become each others date and dance the night away. When Sophia realizedit was a slow dance she knew she would had blushed if she could for she was about to be close to Johnathan. "God I hope I don't step on his feet."Sophia thought to herself hiding how nervous she was.

seven stood with his back against the wall drinking his drink, he wished it ws fire whisky but had sworn off it since waking , one hand shoved dwwp into his pcket he watched evry one n the room all mulling around doing there own thing while he just stood there , even Khhaat was enjoyng the dance with her husband he on the other had had only come bacause Khaat had threated to turn him into a little girl he didn't. He was happy to see she was back with him and happy again, but coming here left him feling empty ushualy he'd have janet to talk to but not this time , this time he was alone and he felt it.

Taking a drink of teh chamange he gave up placing it on the table beside him thinking maybe the punch would taste better, walking over to the table where it stood he eyed the snacks, picking up a sandwich he ate then taking acup took some punch before returning to stand against the wall he wished there was some one who would ask him to dance or would look like she could use his company. He was only waiting for teh announcment then he was ready to leave and go back to the Khaat farm to rest and tend the animals again.
