Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

''Interesting and justified. One has to take care of oneself.'', Wilson said nodding. He took another sip and then saw her playing with the drop of water. ''You seem to be... gentle, and yet so strong. You seem to have that girlish trait in you, which is brilliant. It is rather charming how you play with the droplets. You have not had the chance to socialize with Muggles, have you?'', he asked.

"Not really, no." Narcissa said with a small smile. "I think my mother would have had a heart attack if I did and my aunt would have blasted me off of the tapestry faster than she did with Sirius. However I do find it interesting that they seem to have a need to put ice in everything. They're very smart - I just think Wizards, Death Eaters in particular, only see their faults and don't really see how innocent their little world is.

They may have their problems with each other but at least they sort it out and get back on track. I don’t see where wizards and witches believe that we are all superior to them seeing as they’ve been pretty good over the last century or so. I think the only problem Muggles have with magic is that they fear something they can’t put a label on or explain.”

''Muggles are great. Bloody brilliant people. I am pureblood, but I have had the opportunity to socialize with them from the day I was born. Such brilliant people.'', he said.

In a moment, the waiter brought the dished. ''Thank you'', Wilson said He looked at Narcissa. ''Bon apetit, madame'', he said. ''Just, Narcissa, why do you have such a great fear of yourself, of your inner emotions and thoughts?'', he asked.

Narcissa nodded thoughtfully. She thought they were wonderful, especially to watch work. She loved the way they'd tinker around with cars and was interested to watch Sirius work on that bike of his the year before he left the House of Black for good. She always wanted to do something with her hands like rebuild something or just create something that she could call her own. However after looking at herself for her whole life and seeing exactly who she was, she didn't even strike herself as the type who would get underneath the hood of a car and work on an engine or something along those lines.

Narcissa thanked the waiter and felt herself blush when James spoke to her in French. Despite the argument that she used to have with many witches that believed Italian to be the most romantic language Narcissa was always blushing when a man would speak to her in French and that was rare in itself. Perhaps it had only happened a handful of times.

"I'm not supposed to be independent." Narcissa said, picking up her fork and sifting through the greens in the bowl to find some mussels. "Black women are supposed to submit to their husbands so I shut down all my emotions and thoughts that weren't supposed to be thought. After all this time I didn't think I could still be headstrong. I didn't think those thoughts and feelings were still there and that scares me."

''Idiotic, moronic... how I hate blood supremacy. To subdue such beauty and intellect, such grace and emotions to a silly rule... sometimes I am ashamed to be a wizard.'', he sighed as he took a bite of his fish.

''Narcissa, you seem to have blushed when I spoke French? How come? Have I said something wrong?'', he asked.

Narcissa drank some of her water and wondered if it would have been easier if she weren't born a witch. Perhaps if she were a Squib things would have been better for her. She could have been doing something interesting like researching instead of sitting around spending money which, according to her mother, was the only thing she'd ever be good at.

Narcissa couldn't do much but try and fight the warmth that threatened to rise to her cheeks, neck and chest when he called her out on her blush. She couldn't really explain why without sounding idiotic. Narcissa bit her lip and looked down at her salad.

"I guess I just like being spoken to in French. I find it quite romantic."
Idiot! She heard Bella hiss in the back of her mind. It was for once that she actually agreed with her criminally insane sister. She was being foolish. She barely even knew what romance was so how could she find French romantic?
Right, wishful thinking. Narcissa reminded herself.

Wilson looked at her while she spoke and then while she was contemplating with herself. ''Why, that I did not know. I am sorry if I have caused you any inconveniences.'', he said smiling. He found her reaction rather cute.

''I will cease it if you want. I apologize.'', he added. ''Tell me, Narcissa, how was your relationship with your sister Bella?'', he asked.

"No, no. It's fine." she said, trying to reassure herself more so than him and hopefully make some of the embarrassment subside. She felt like Andromeda for goodness sake! Narcissa took a few pieces of the fish from her bowl as well as some lettuce and ate them, deciding to do something before she made herself feel even more inadequate than she already felt.

"Our relationship was platonic. We could be sisterly by all means as long as the Dark Lord wasn’t around. We were close but Bella had the Black affliction that seemed to be the cause of all of the inbreeding. Unfortunately she had a mental decline after a while and in Azkaban it seemed to get worse. I stayed out of most of her life after that, only choosing to get involved when it suited me. To be blunt, she was insane and as the years went on it seemed to get worse. Personally I think by the time she met her end she wasn’t Bellatrix Lestrange but the Dark Lord’s servant through and through. She’d forgotten herself.”

''Interesting, yet again.'', Wilson said. He took another bite. ''Now, Narcissa, is there anything you would like to know about me?'', he asked.

She wasn't meant to assume things? That was the first thing that struck Narcissa odd about this man now. He actually wanted her to know things about him and didn't expect her to dig things up on her own. She was resourceful but she should have known not to compare him to Lucius - even if she hadn't consciously done it.

"Your family." Narcissa said with a smile. "I mean what where they like and where did you grow up? Did you have pets? How about- oh sweet Merlin the Black madness must be finally catching up with me." Narcissa laughed uneasily and found herself blushing again. "I'm sorry. I’ve never really tried to get to know someone before or vice versa, it just feels a little weird.” Narcissa blushed once more and felt the urge to slap herself. She was doing a brilliant job of making herself sound even more stupid than she felt half of the time. “Well I am having fun unintentionally embarrassing myself tonight. I apologize if I am making you feel uneasy." She said trying to avoid his gaze any way she could.
