Yule Ball Dance Practice

Coraline clapped her hands and felt like an idiot. It was a stupid way to call for attention, the kind of thing kindergarten teachers did. If she wasn't careful, she'd soon be calling for hands on heads.

"As you all know, the Yule Ball is coming up, and those of you who attend will be required to dance the opening waltz. The steps are slightly different to the kind of waltz you are probably familiar with, and that is why you are all gathered here today," she began.

"So, everyone pair up in two circles, boys on the inside, girls on the outside, and we will begin."

She waited for the students to sort themselves out. It would inevitably take a little time while they shuffled around to figure out which of the various hierarchies at work was most significant in this situation.

Haley hated t dance, and was self cautions when she did. She looked around the room waiting for the others to get up and move around, she didn't want to be the first to stand up. She let out sigh hoping to get everything done and over with.

Julia got up and stood next to a girl who she saw talking to Eli in the common room- Haley she thought her name was. Julia hated to dance, especially since she was very clumsy. She'd probably end up stepping on her partner's foot. She looked at Haley "I hate dancing sooo much" she laughed. "I'm way too clumsy to waltz" She stood and waited for more instructions, hoping it wouldn't be too long.

Haley laughed, "I know what you mean. It's pretty embarrassing when you have two left feet." Haley had recognized the girl from the common room, she thought her name was Julie but she wasn't a hundred percent sure.

Julia chuckled "I know, right?"she said "I'm Julia by the way" She introduced herself. Julia was nervous already about the Yule Ball- what would she wear? And more importantly... who would she bring as a date? She groaned at the thought

"I'm Haley." She smiled. She was still unsure if she was going to the yule ball. She didn't have anything to ware, and she hadn't asked Hafiz if he would go with her just yet. She made a mental note to ask him.

Rosalie stood up, she noticed Julia and Haley together talking. She believed that they would br perfect at this sort of thing, and they would have nothing to worry about what so ever. She looked across the room and noticed all the shy boys still remaining in there seats. She thought to herself. "Ok Rosalie. No clumsiness today. This moment will be absolutely perfect."

"Nice to meet you" She smiled "Who are you gonna bring for a date?" She asked in a jokingly way. Julia wasn't too sure if she was gonna go or not, though she probably was going to end up going, considering this was her first ball. She's always gone to dances, but she never went to a ball, she assumed it was pretty much the same, only more formal.

She looked over and noticed Rosalie walk in the room. Julia smiled and waved, motioning for her to come stand next to us. "Hey Rose!" She yelled over to her. She liked Rosalie, they had a lot in common, but mainly they were both as clumsy as hell. She chuckled.

Rosalie saw Julia's gesture and walked over to her. "Hello guys. I'm judt gonna come out and say it. I'm not good at waltzing. I bet both of you are amazing.
