Thinking of You... (Chase and Open)

Sterling couldn't believe it. He ran his fingers through her damp hair. He poured all of his passion into the kiss, trying to reveal what he still felt about her. He knew he would never get this opportunity again, so he kissed her as hard as he could eyes closed, fingers running through her hair. Imagining and reminiscing of their experiences before she had cheated on him and dumped him. Emotional magic cause them both to have something similar to the bubble head charm, except it was full of perfume of both her and his scent. They started sinking into the lake again, he was too focused on the kiss to stay afloat. He knew she couldn't possibly be enjoying this as much as he was. He knew it was a pity kiss, but he wanted it too badly to care.

Chase felt them sink into the lake unable to keep themselves afloat, but for some reason, she didn't choke. They had a bubble around their heads all of a sudden. Maybe he cast it she didn't know, but her lips were locked firmly on his as they slowly sank into the lake. Hidden from view, she knew he knew what was going on. She knew that there was no way she could help him any longer. She let him kiss her, and she kissed him back. She felt the emotion poured into the kiss, she felt his pain. She cried as she kissed him. She had caused this boy so much pain. To much pain. It had all been her fault. She pushed more emotion into the kiss hoping he would understand. Their feet touched the sand of the bottom of the lake just as the sun disappeared above their heads.

Sterling reluctantly retreated from the kiss... he so didn't want to... but he had to. He wanted to give her everything he had... but he didn't have anything with him. He picked up a rock and put a charm on it. "This is now my Rock. Just rub it, and I'll know your thinking about me." he said. He wanted her to give him one too, but she didn't have a wand. He handed her the rock underwater. It was pitch black now, but the strange emotional bubble they were in eminated a red light that made her face even more beautiful.

"And I give you my blessing to be with Jesse." he said, and he really meant it. He knew it didn't make a difference to her. He said it more for himself than for her.

Chase felt small tears fall down her cheeks as she looked at the rock. Without asking she grabbed his wand and another rock and placed her own charm on it. "Here."She whispered. "And the same for you."She said softly handing him both his wand and the rock. She put the rock in her pocket. "I'm sorry it had to be this way Sterling."She whispered. "It means so much to me, to have you're blessing with Jesse."She said hugging him tears falling down her cheeks. "Because..I was sure you were going to hate me."She whispered wiping her eyes as she looked at him.

Sterling looked at her, imagining trying to hate her. He almost laughed at the thought. "No, Chase, that's impossible." he said lovingly. He took the rock and stroked it a little to test it. "Thanks for reaching out to the scrawny nerdy kid, so long ago." Sterling said, smiling and crying.

Chase's eyes opened round when he stroked the rock. She wasn't quite sure what the feeling was. Like being watched..no, not watched. Thought about. She could almost tell what he was thinking this way. She took her rock out and ran her finger over it carefully. "I hate to leave.."She said looking up at the surface. "But the sun is down..we have to get back to the castle."She whispered pushing herself away from him slightly and suddenly gasping. The farther she went from him the less air she had. She couldn't quite make it back to him because she was being pulled at by a current.

Sterling grabbed her by the forearm. He realized now the emotion that had been used to create these bubbles was wearing off. The bubble was about the size of a fist now... they both had their lips on opposite sides, sucking for breath. It shrank to the size of a snitch... he was so close that if it shrank any smaller they would kiss again simply because the bubble wasn't big enough. He pulled off and made a normal bubble head charm on Chase. He gasped for air and couldn't cast one for himself. It was dark and he couldn't see Chase anymore. The gasp drew water into his lungs. All his buoyancy immediately dissipated, and he was laying flat on sandy lake floor. He was drowning... unable to make a sound... unseen by Chase...

Chase gasped her lips to the bubble. She to was starting to black out, but quickly she grabbed his wand, made her own bubble head charm and then rushed to grab Sterling. Gasping for air she made him a bubblecharm. "Wake up Sterling!"She gasped and then kicked off the bottom swimming hard for the surface. She didn't know how much water he had inhaled and she didn't know if he'd be ok or not. She broke surface and pulled his head above the water line. Dragging him through the water until she finally found a shore and pulled them both up onto it. Her charm popped and she sat gasping for air on the beach barely able to breath. She spun around to look at Sterling afraid he was dead.

Sterling was unconscious and unaware of what was happening.

Chase looked frantic, she put her ear to his lips and found he wasn't breathing. Plugging his nose she was happy she had passed first aid class in middle school. She kept his nose plugged, grabbed his chin so that he opened his mouth, and pressed her lips to his, blowing air into his mouth. Doing this a few times she moved back and pressed on his chest a few times. She was frantic with worry, not knowing a spell to help with this, all she could do was a muggle way. She moved back to his mouth, putting her mouth to his and blowing air in.
