"I'll be back shortly," Brian said. "She was over halfway done, and I can certainly go quicker without her."
"I heard that," Khaats voice came to him, clearly unhappy with him.
"Evesdropper. Behave while I'm gone. I may ask Robert to check in on her before long. She may just be overdoing it, but I'd rather be overprotective than to ignore it."
Brian went down to the potions lab first and found Robert had simply disposed of the styrofoam take out container and had resumed his work. Brian asked him to check on Khaat and told him her fever had gone up.
"Well, she was up quite a bit of the morning, wasn't she?" Robert asked.
"All morning." Brian said.
"Well, there you go, then." He picked up a different bottle of potion. "This tastes like hell itself, but it does help to reduce the more stubborn fevers. If I were you, I'd toss it in a glass of firewhiskey. There isnt' much else that will make this more palatable, I'm afraid. Its even more foul than wolfbane."
"It looks like water," Brian frowned.
"Trust me, its not," Robert said. "Smell." Brian opened the bottle and took a slight smell.
"Ew!" he scowled. "God, how do you expect anyone to take this? It smells like...well, I cant even imagine anything that smells like it. I refuse to ask you whats in it."
"Good," Robert shrugged. "Saves me having to tell you."
"She might need to simply be good and drunk to take this crap," Brian said.
"Feel free if you like," Robert said. "But just remember it does take a lot of firewhiskey to do that." Brian put the bottle in his pocket and finished her rounds for her before returning upstairs.
"Take a break, Steven. You've been on your feet all day except for breakfast and lunch," Brian said. "I'm sure you can fire a wand just as well sitting down as you can standing up."
