Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Barker extreme - Page 6 Empty Re: Barker extreme

Post by Khaat Lupin Fri Dec 03, 2010 1:38 am

"Well, I really had no expectations about that," Khaat said truthfully. "What I do know is that, in my line of work, when something like this happens, I usually end up seeing the victim sooner or later. It just seems to work that way. You must be a strong woman to survive so long away from your friends and family."

She didn't elaborate further--deliberately. The chances that a kidnap victim ever returned alive were, statistically, very slim. Khaat wasn't telling Naomi that. Khaat also knew that, statistically speaking, the fact that she herself had been taken more than once decreased her odds of being found alive.

Actually, outside of the fact that she did care if she got to raise Abbey, she didn't much care if Barker killed her or not anymore. This time wold most likely be very different for Barker. She would try to stay alive, but then, men who liked to torture had an investment in keeping their prey alive. After all, if they killed them, the fun was all gone.

All she really needed to do was to place herself in the mindset to survive him. She didn't hate many people. It was an extremely short list. But right at the top of the list were two of the people that, for ebetter or worse, were closest to Naomi. First, Barker. He was, at the moment, at the top of the list. The person who never, ever fell off that list was Naomi's father. Fenrir. The insane idiot responsible for ruining her beloved uncle's life. It was the first person she ever wanted to kill. And, probably, the person she wanted to kill the most. That and the Death Eater responsible for killing Remus. Those were the top three, anyway. That was going to make it hard for her to like any part of Naomi. She didn't want to be biased against her, but there it was. Naomi was a Greyback. And Khaat didn't have much love loss for them.

Naomi watched Khaat, trying to understand what that insinuated, though she guessed she meant that by the way she said 'victim' what she really meant was they saw the body soon enough. Naomi buried her amusement in her. Oh, Naomi had been far from death. Even before she and Felix had become involved, the worst that had happened was a little cut and he had bought her clothes. Though Khaat's fate was not so optimistic.

At Khaat's words Naomi nodded slightly, dropping her gaze and pulling her knees closer to her body, resting her chin on it, saying, "I like to think so. It's been hard, it's been..." She swallowed. "A nightmare, really. Barker's not kind in the least with his torturing. There's been times I passed out and when I woke up, I could tell I had been out for days. I think my body was trying to save me the trouble of facing him."

She shook her head and wrapped her arms around her body, shaking her head slightly. "An absolute nightmare." She swallowed again, looking up at Khaat. "I'm never getting out of here." She shook her head. "I know that already. I was so hopeful the Ministry would come, but I don't think they can find him..."

"It doesn't help to think about anything anybody else does to you or says," Khaat said rather matter of factly. "I don't. I've given that up. I don't give a damn anymore about that. I wish you luck, though. If you want out, you'll get out. So tell me. Why didn't anyone from your family or friends report you missing when it first happened? Are they looking for you on their own?" Khaat asked. She found it very unusually that Naomi had been in Barker's clutches for so long. It wasn't like Barker to hold a victim so long. Well, part of it was that Barker hadn't been very clever with his first ones.

She was curious as to why Greyback had not either been released or escape. Barker just was not that good. He made a lot of elementary mistakes at times. He tended to keep things together in bursts, from what she could see. He was clever for periods of time and then made rather basic mistakes. Something was different here, and she wasn't sure what. And then there was Barker. she didn't know of him to be a man to waste time. So what was this delay all about? He didn't seem to be able to deny himself anything he considered pleasure. Part of which, she knew, was making her miserable. She wondered how long it would be before the games began.

Naomi listened to Khaat speak, realizing that their hostage had all but given up on her own life, it seemed. Hmmm... That made Felix and her job both easier and more difficult; both more traumatic and less traumatic. It certainly was a complication and she filed it away in her mind as something to bring up to Felix when she and him were alone next. He would want to know about the emotional/psychological state of their most recent victim.

Khaat asked why her family had not reported her missing and Naomi remembered her family for the first time in weeks. She sighed and gave the honest truth, because it was the most affecting. "They probably figured it was bad for business or something. Figured it would be better to make no big deal about it and just wait for someone else to solve it for them." It was true, too. How good would it look at their dinner parties if their daughter had been kidnapped. They could say they sent her to study abroad. Then again, she had been in the paper... She did not think to question her screwed up parents' reasoning. Her real dad did not even know her name.

"Well, that really sucks," Khaat sighed. No one needed to have a worthless family. That was something that she had been blessed with--a good family. And if it all ended, now, she had no regrets.

"If we're lucky, he'll pick on me more than you," Khaat said. "At least I don't think he can hurt me much. Not really. I know he'll try, but that's just who he is." Khaat knew her words had come across as a bit of rather steely indifference. That was, however, the only way to say it.

"So. Do you have a boyfriend or anything? I mean, you surely can't be alone in the world, can you really? Not as pretty as you are. You could have any man you wanted. Somebody has to be a part of your life." She couldn't imagine Naomi not having someone missing her if she werent' there.

Felix listened for a long time at the door, and finally was able to make out voices. Good, they were talking. He made sure he could hear everything he could about her plans for survival or whatever, but he wasn't about to kill the poor Lupin lady, oh no, he was about to make her lose her mind, and THEN he might kill her when she wasn't of any use to him anymore. Show the world that Felix Barker really was an evil man. Give them something good to go on, and let his picture appear on the front of the papers for a month or two. The Death Eaters wouldn't like it, but hey, when had he ever done anything for the Death Eaters?

When Felix finally heard Khaat ask about Naomi's boyfriend, he opened the door, and strode down the hallway. A nice white suit decorated his body, with black shoes sticking out from under him. "Why hello girls." He said as he came to the door of the cell and looked in at his prisoners. He was fashionably dressed, his hair was combed and clean, he certainly didn't look like a filthy torturer who killed people for fun. He could have been their savior if he didn't have that evil look on his face. "What do we have here? Making friends?" He asked with a cold smile. "Tsk, tsk Naomi, I thought I had taught you better then that in the last few days." He said and pulled out his wand. He pointed it at Khaat. "Now... Kitty, he said with a grin. "I think it's time that we got ourselves.. reacquainted with each other. I haven't seen you in a long time, and I think we should talk." He said and smiled his white toothy smile.

"Stay back Naomi darling, we don't want a repeat of the last time you tried to get out when I opened the door now do we?" He asked with a grin. "Stupify." He said, his wand pointed at Khaat. He opened the cell, and looked at Naomi for a moment, before going to Khaat and lifting her up, throwing her over his shoulder again. "When I'm done with her, I'll come back for you, and we can let you rest for a while..." He said with a small smile, before shutting the cell door and bringing Khaat into the laboratory.

Once inside, it was apparent on why he found his laboratory so amusing. He had designed it, to be exactly the same layout as Khaats office. Only instead of her desk, there was a plan metal table, that had chains hooked to it. He threw Khaat down unnecessarily hard and strapped her into place. There were two doors out of the room. One where Khaat's normal door was, and one on the wall next to it, it had the name "Naomi" Written upon it, and it was cracked slightly to show that there seemed to be some sort of bedroom beyond, possibly Naomi's own torture chamber, that was modeled to fit her bedroom, just as Khaat's was modeled to fit the one place she had thought was safe. "Enneverate." he growled once she was hooked onto the table. "Goodmorning Kitty Khaat." He said with a grin, leaning over her, his face inches from hers.

"Well, Barker," she said with sarcasm. ""Twice, huh? I should feel honored. Now I'm just bored. Although I am glad to find you took a bath since the last time I saw you. You even used soap. Was that for me, or the other little tart you have waiting back there?" She had made up her mind she wasn't going to say much of anything nice to him. Not ever, probably. And, if she could help it, she planned to bait him. Make him angry enough to make quick work of this whole business. She didn't think Naomi was a tart, but, well, it suited her purposes to be as smartassed with him as she could manage.

"And a duplicate of my office? How nice of you to try to make me feel at home while I"m gone. You really would look better in navy blue rather than white, though. Especially this time of year. White suits are so San Tropez, don't you think? There is a wonderful tailor in Savile Row who could help you with that. So, then. What are we doing today? Something new? Or just the same old thing?"

Felix felt a flash of anger at her, but then let it turn into a smile. "Hmm.. I see you haven't changed to much Kitty." He said lightly, looking at her almost lovingly. "I appreciate your opinion Kitty." he said lightly, leaning against the wall. "It took quite a bit of work to get it just right I think." He said glancing around. "Of course I had to add a door where there was none at all, for I needed a way to get to Naomi's room." He said with a smile as he pulled out a huge blade from his shoe, and started to run his finger along it gently. He moved to her table, and smiled at her. "So... I'm so happy to find that you could join me again, I have missed you darling." He said reaching out to run the blade along her arm gently, cutting at the sleeve of her red silk dress. He gently tore so that the arm of her dress came completely off, and he looked at the new, sleeveless side he had created. "Ah, I see you are skinnier then before." he said with a smile. "Bones more like it... well we'll just have to do what we can to.. fix that won't we?" he asked with a grin, and then dug the tip of the knife into her arm as though not really looking what he was doing with the knife, as he continued to talk.

"A lot has happened since we met hasn't it Kitty Khaat? I got ahold of Sophia Lestrange, and let me tell you, she's quite the kisser.. I wish I would have had more time with that girl." he said with a small smile, almost sad looking, as he moved over to Khaat's over side. "You're uneven.."He said and cut off the other sleeve, before digging the knife into her arm there. "I've decided however, that you would be much more entertaining to be with, seeing as you hate me so much, you even have people like that stupid man down at the shop looking for me. Couldn't get ahold of me now could he? That was when Naomi was still almost healthy." He said with a smile. "I think she looks much better now doesn't she? With the blood on her, and the bruises, those are a lovely touch, don't you think?" He asked with a grin. "Really gives her some color.." He laughed lightly and pulled the knife out of her arm. "Hmmm.. there." He said lightly and walked around her again. "So tell me about your life since we last met." He said with a smile, putting the blade against her side lightly, gently tearing the fabric there, but only just hitting her skin.

She was not going to show him the satisfaction of the pain the knife caused. She concentrated instead on her face being cold as stone to him. And that was going to need concentration indeed.

"And I did so like this dress," she sighed. "You know, Brian really was not looking for you. He was picking up a purchase for me. Some smaller sizes, if you must know. I thought perhaps you might like the new slimmer me, but I was also hoping that perhaps your nose was still backwards on your face or something. As for not killing you, he left you allive on purpose, you twit. Brian never does anything without a purpose. Maybe someday I'll even tell you what that purpose was. But today, well, I just don't feel like it. I don't feel like cooperating while I'm bleeding.

"As for Sophia, I would have no idea if she is a good kisser or not. I've never had the desire to kiss her. That child you took probably will get you convicted for life, you know. The ministry takes a very dim view of child kidnapping. However, no woman ever likes to wear a color that is not her idea. Perhaps you need to ask her what color of bruises she likes before you add any more. I am glad to see she at least rated a bedroom of sorts. Its the least you can do for someone like that." She was deliberately not filling in the blanks for him in her wording. She was choosing her words rather carefully.

"Me? What exactly would you like to know? Life is the same as always. Except I'm remodeling Azkaban. Its gotten much too benevolent, don't you think? I really do think it needs to be far more old school than it became in the last 20 years. I think it looks better when it is a lot more primal. What do you think? Dark grey mould for your cell? Or just the toxic black kind?"

Felix pretended to look hurt. "Oh Kitty, you hurt me so, calling me twit." He said putting a hand over his heart in mock pain. "Brian was, and will always be the twit in this case, but you seem to think he's so high and mighty." he said with a small smile before smirking. "Blood is good though, it means it's a clean cut.. there isn't any dirt in it.." He said with a grin at her. "And besides, your dress is red already, so you needn't fear a stain in it.." He said with a smile as he looked down at her.

"Convict me? Who said I would get caught?" He asked lightly pushing the knife into her side lightly. He had studied the human anatomy to know that where he was pushing the knife in wouldn't be deadly, because killing her would be a waste of his efforts. He slowly slid the knife into her side as he spoke smiling lightly. "Naomi is very well to have in that bedroom of hers, let me just say she won't ever forget me Khaat Lupin, she won't forget me even if you do get her out of here, I daresay, she may end up like the Longbottoms did a while past." He said thoughtfully before sliding the dagger into the hilt into her side, and pulling out roughly. "Ah, look at that, you've got blood on my blade." He said shaking his head lightly.

"Oh, a new cell? How delightful, except you forget one small problem Kitty."He said lightly, ramming his blade into her hand, without much fury, but still ramming it in hard. "I"m not going back to Azkaban, but it is thoughtful of you to remember me while creating Azkaban, I'm sure someone will fill my old cell in no time." He said lighly, pulling the dagger out of her hand, and sticking it back into the wound he had made in his side roughly, pulling it out again just as roughly.
