This was going to be a Vacation

"Yeah I'm ready." she said smiling as he kissed her on the cheek. It was a light peck, but it still made her cheeks flush a little. She followed him over to his car, "Wow, nice." she said looking at it as he opened the door for her. She was not used to that anymore and smiled at him as Daniel got in and started whistling a French tune that she recognized from living a few years in France.

As she got in the car and fastened her seat belt she turned around and looked at him, "If that song gets stuck in my head I'm going to slap your arm harder than anyone has in their entire life." she said smiling sweetly.

Daniel giggled, "I've been slapped before, nothing new". He stopped though, his French accent was back. He continued laughing about it, and he slapped his knee.

Emil made sure he was ready to drive, making sure he was nice and safe before turning the ignition on. He made sure the others were okay as well. Emil backed out of his parking space, making sure to not hit anything on his way out. The road was nice and clear, and he could see okay. He started driving on one of the roads that lead to the highway. It was on this road, very far down, that the Gilded Wand was located.

"Where are we going, Emil?" Daniel said, "Are we there yet?" He started repeating the last part over and over until Emil stopped then hit him lightly.

"I know you're trying to be funny, but I'm trying to drive". Afterwards, he resumed driving.

Christy turned around after he threw off her threat but it had gotten him to stop humming that song. She was glad that it didn't get stuck in her head. She hated when songs did that, because no matter what she did they just wouldn't leave. She was surprised to see how careful Emil was being because she wasn't even that careful driving. In fact when she had something that could go dangerously fast she really took advantage of it and would do some pretty crazy things.

She laughed at Daniel, "You know I think I'm glad that I was raised as an only child." she said looking at him, "I never had to deal with that until recently." she was trying to make some sort of conversation. "Besides you're not even driving dangerously fast Emil so it couldn't be that hard to concentrate." she said smiling.

"Well, I'd like to be cautious around here, there are animals that like to pop out randomly, and when they do I want to be able to swerve away so I don't hit them" Emil said, he liked animals. He was often saddened by the fact that Durmstrang students had to wear fur. It upset him so much that he often refused to wear the uniform unless he had to.

"Emil, as far as I know, is kinda...soft" Daniel said.

Emil took offense to that, "You want fast? I'll give you fast!" He floored the gas pedal after making sure that the road was clear. The car was speeding as fast as the speed limit was on the highway, but he had to make sure that he didn't miss his destination. Soon, he reached the ramp on the highway where he drove off, going a bit slower as was demanded by the speed limit. After turning right, he saw the small building he was looking for. The Gilded Wand.

Christy laughed at that. "Wow so thats how you get him to go faster." she said still giggling about it. "I'm not sure if thats a good thing or not yet. But don't get me wrong I like animals too. Ironically enough I love snakes especially the ones my cousin raises but I love feeding them mice more than anything."

"Are we getting close?" she asked noticing he was slowing down. "I guess I better close my eyes then so you can surprise me like you wanted." she said laughing as she put her hands over her eyes. "Just don't let me fall and let me know when I can look."

Emil parked the car carefully, and stepped out. He opened the door for Christy, and took her by the hand. He guided her inside the restaurant, while Daniel shut and locked all the doors. Daniel still felt like a third wheel, but he didn't mind.

Once inside, Emil got the waiter to seat them. He then told Christy to open her eyes.

"We're here! The Gilded Wand!"

Meanwhile, Daniel waited outside. He grabbed a couple hard candies from his pocket and munched away at them.

Christy couldn't help but to laugh as Emil helped her out of the car and into the restaurant. A couple of times she stumbled a little, unsure of her footing but once he told her to open her eyes she did laughing at where they were. "Oh my!" she said looking at him. "I haven't been here in forever." she said when they were finally seated.

"Are you sure Daniel is going to be okay sitting in the car by himself?" she asked looking at him, "I mean I hate to leave him sitting all alone out there being bored while we have fun."

"I've never been here, ever. I've always been near my home country," Emil laughed, he looked at the menu. He peered up as he heard about Daniel.

"He can leave if he wants to. I'm not forcing him to stay", he peered out the window, which was by their seat, and saw the poor man. "I feel bad for him, maybe he should go if he's not enjoying himself". Emil looked concerned.

Daniel, on the other hand, was looking back at Emil, as if he were to say something. Emil stared down at the nigh-empty table. "The waiter will be here soon. I hope. I'm starving".

Daniel started walking to the diner next to The Gilded Wand, it was open only for another hour before it had to close. It was a cheap 50's-looking diner. It wasn't a great place to set up a diner next to a fancy restaurant, but it managed to thrive nonetheless.

The Gilded Wand was a restaurant that had all sorts of fancy things. Gold accents everywhere, a fireplace, everything a fancy restaurant should and would have. It was heaven and a half. "When Daniel finally meets your cousin, he's gotta come here".

"Yeah or wherever Godric chooses to go." she said laughing a little. Her cousin was always a surprise when it came to just about anything. "Well I've traveled a lot. My father was the german minister of magic when he was alive so I went to alot of different countries with him when he had to do his job." she said smiling. "I don't think there aren't that many non- third world countries I haven't been too."

She blushed realizing that she was sounding too showy again. "I"m sorry I sound like a complete fool babbling on like that. I'm not trying to sound better than you or anything...crap that didn't come out right either." she said now blushing. "I'm just going to shut up for now."

"That's impressive", Emil replied wistfully, "I have only been around my country and in neighboring ones. It's always boring". He looked out the window to see Daniel gone. "He must've went to the diner next door. Y'know, it's illogical to set up near another food establishment, the diner is not so good compared to here and caters to a different price range".

"Don't shut up, I like it when you talk. It makes me feel less silent, and gives me something to reply to. But...if you insist, that's okay too. I'm not going to stand in the way of anything you do, because you can make your own decisions as I can make mine" Emil said.

He stared at the menu, his eyes moving up and down occasionally. "Hm, so many choices to make, so many choices". He was stuck, he didn't know what to order. The waiter was coming, and he didn't want to hold up service, so he closed his eyes and put a finger on the menu. Steak special with side salad, Emil read mentally, I'll try that. It looks really good.
