Staying Around

Andrew didn't need to be told twice. Ignoring the smell of blood, along the way. He nearly drowned having to swim fast, but made to back to shore never the less. He stood up and quickly aimed his wand at the snake. What did it want with them anyway? "I don't think it likes me," he said panting "that thing has only attacked me so far!" He couldn't stop his hands and body from shivering as he watched it flail around and shriek. Was it almost dead? At last, it quickly sunk back into the waters and stayed under for a good 10 seconds. "I think it's gone..." he said calmly putt his arm down.

Miseria watched wordlessly as the snake disappeared back under water, and took a deep breathe, closing her eyes. “Yeah, i've never seen such mad fan girls,“ she agreed with him. “Well, perhaps the animals like you more than the humans do,“ she shrugged, stepping away from the water, and taking her jeans, what she put quickly on, and wried herself up. Then, after a little brief moment, she had to look back at the lake, when she saw few of the bubbles coming up. “Interesting where could it go in This lake?“ she rolled her eyes at him, her wand pointed at the lake.

Andrew used another bubble head charm and then turned to Miseria. "I'm going to find out where it went," he said, his voice muffled by the bubble "and see if it's dead or not." Before Miseria could say anything, Andrew jumped into the lake and began to swim after the blood trail. It seemed to go pretty far, to the other side of the lake. From that point he looked closely and saw that there was a large hole that acted like a tunnel. Who the hell could not have seen that? He wadded by the entrance and wondered if he should go in it.

Miseria rolled her eyes when he dived again. What a stupid gryffindor! a voice said in her head. She nodded to it as in an agreement, and pointed with her wand at her head, and jumped back into the water. She said quietly Lumos, and swam quickly after him to the bottom of the lake. Water seemed to be colder after the first time, but right now, she could ignore this little fact.
She didn't believe that it's dead, with only crucio, and four sectumsempras... This beast was huge, and water had always the best healing abilities.
Finally she saw him, and stoped next to him, looking into the cave. She touched his shoulder, and shook her head, begging him not to go in.

Andrew turned his body towards Miseria and noticed she was trying to say 'no'. But Andrew couldn't go now. He wouldn't let another person die because they decided to do nothing at all. So he went in. He swam further and further, with Lumos on the tip of his wand, determined to find that thing now, even though you could see him shaking in the water. After a long tunnel, he found a small dark cavern- and the basilisk like snake. It sat there in the water, it's blood flowing to the top of the cavern in stringlike motions. He swam over to the front of it's face and then looked at it's eyes. It was dead. He sighed in relief, yet also felt like throwing up at the same time. Disgusting sight. He looked around somemore and saw something round neary the snakes face. Andrew waved his hand in a motion that said 'Over here'

Miseria rolled her eyes. Couldn't he just stop being so heroic, and let it be? She didn't believe that the lake monster would do something anymore to them. She harmed it pretty good... Yet, he wanted to check it out, or probably get eaten.
Again, she followed him, only kept a little distance, and when he stopped, she raised her eyebrows. No one attacked them. Why? When she saw Andrew waving with his hand, she swam closer, and her eyes went big. The snake was dead, luckily. She dind't say or mention anything about the dead body. Blood was everywhere, and it was still pouring from the wounds what Miseria caused. Then she saw the same thing what Andrew. Something... roundy? Feeling curious again, she began to swim there, but still, she was careful.

Andrew pushed the large snake with all his might and managed to move it slightly out of the way, but had a clear view of the round object. It was an egg. And that huge snake was a mom. He felt a wave of guilt rush over his body as he now realized what he had done. He sighed in his bubble and then swam down and grabbed the egg, which the mother had been trying to protect with it's last moments. He swam over to Miseria, the egg in his arms, and then mouthed "Let's go to the surface." He then swam forward through the tunnel, and was elated to see the lake's enless area again. He then began to push up and finally broke the surface. He hit the bubble on his head, which then popped and he stared at the egg in his arms. "Man..." he said softly

Miseria's face went pale when she saw what Andrew was holding in his hands. She didn't say anything, not even a little comment to herself in thoughts, but swam after him. This was the reason why the snake attacked them. It presumed that they would harm the egg, and kill it.
When she finally got to the top of the water, she didn't say anything even when she reached the shore, and looked at the egg. Right now, the only thing what she could do, was regret.
“What's next?“ she asked quietly. She didn't know anything about the lake monster type. They could also give the egg to Wilson, he'd teach them about this animal in his lessons... Or to a care of magical teacher professor, though, she doupted that she or he would teach them about such creatures in the lessons.

"I don't know," he said calmly, still using his one arm and legs to wade in the water "but we can't give this to Hogwarts. Who knows what the Death Eaters might do to this poor little guy." He didn't mean to have tried and killed the Serpent, because it was just self defense. He still felt bad though and his stomach felt hollow. HE had no idea who they could give this serpent to, but they had to find him an owner. "Any ideas on where we can find a home for him?"

She raised her eyebrows, and sighed. No help from Hogwarts this time. “I don't know. I can't it take with myself... though, i'd love to... The snakey looked kind of cute, but...“ she sighed again, looking at the egg. They could just kill it, crack it or whatever! Or...
“Get it back into the water. It's probably the best thing what we can do now. There are a lot of fishes, though... this thing won't be able to hunt right away...“ she stoped quickly. No, she had no ideas what they should do now. Cracking the egg would be the best opinion, yet, she really didn't know how much of those creatures are in this magical world. Maybe it was the last one?
