The day is beautiful...for staying inside

Carter had been bored out of his mind today, he got a free day today and had nothing to do.His sister had spend her day reading since it had been raining since morning.

"Hey, what are you reading?"He asked his sister

"I'm doing homework not actually reading anything interesting"She said, Carter gave her his I'm-sorry-but-I-have-a-solution look

"Maybe you can take care of your Austin."She got up of the sofa as she answered

"Sure, anything that doesn't involve the History of Magic."

Carter got his umbrella and started walking to Hogsmead he lived very close to the village and he felt like walking.He always loved the sound raindrops made when they clashed against the umbrella and the sound he made when he walked in wet concrete.He was enjoying his walk but he had already gotten to his destination.

He walked in as he shook the water off of his umbrella.Then he sat at the only table available and order a butter beer and some fries.He wanted to be training right now instead of doing nothing there was a reason he was a Ravenclaw, he liked learning and he was fast at it ,but right now he had been given a free day.He almost never had free days,it didn't matter since he loved his job, and he thought he would use this day to meet new people so he had come here.

After spending the morning with her daughter Alexia shopping and at the candy store, Sophia put the tired and sleepy Alexia down for a nap. As she walked out of her room her twin sister looked at her and shook her head.

"Why don't go out and have some fun, you been working and taking care of Alexia you need some time for yourself!"said Arabella softly.

"Yeah I guess your right, I guess a day to myself wouldn't hurt!"said Sophia honestly.

"That's the spirit Soph, I got Lexi now you go and have some fun!"said Arabella softly.

"I'll see you later Ara."said Sophia as she thought of Hogsmeade and appeared by The Three Broomsticks with a pop. Looking around the small village she smiled. "It been forever since I been here!"said Sophia to herself. Her hair alittle wet from the rain Sophia sat down not to far from a guy about her age but alittle older.

Carter was very very shy but sometimes out going.He looked for someone his age since he didn't really like talking to people older than him he didn't have a problem with a small age gap like 2-3 years apart but anyways he saw a girl ,that looked she had been in the rain, at the door and he was sure he had seen her somewhere else,but not Hogwarts since he had never seen her in the Ravenclaw common room and he didn't remeber who he had classes with except he didn't want to make a fool of himself and hoped she wasn't a death eater because what a waste of face it would have been.He gathered the courage to go up to say hi."Hello I don't want to be a creep but I'm looking for some friends and you look like the only one my age or close."

Sophia who was now reading a book, looked up from her book as she seen someone nearing her table and gave him a soft warm smile. "Well.. I can always use some more friends!"said Sophia softly.  "Hi I'm Sophia, Sophia Granger."said Sophia softly as she pushed her curly blonde hair out of her eyes.  "Been awhile since I been out, doing double shifts at St. Mungo's and taking care of my daughter I haven't had much time for myself!"said Sophia softly but honestly. "Oh sorry, I barely know you I shouldn't be telling you all this!"said Sophia turning away as her hair turned pink in embarrassment.

"Great,I haven't been able to meet many people I'm training as an auror.I'm Carter Griggory."He said responding to Sophia.When she let slip information he saw her turn all pink like he did when he got embarrassed,which wasn't ofter.

"Don't worry it's okay, and I also have a kid,he is three and his name is Austin, right now he is with my younger sister."He said the last part so she didn't feel like she had said too much and to make sure he didn't seem like a bad father."This is him"showing her a picture

"Nice to meet you Carter, and wow a Auror huh sounds interesting!"said Sophia softly. "I'm assistant director and healer at St. Mungo's."said Sophia softly.  "I love my job more then anything, there's not a day that I hate it!"said Sophia honestly.

"Really, my daughter Alexia is three as well, he's with my twin sister right though."said Sophia softly. "She's the only thing I have left of my family besides my twin sister."said Sophia sighing.  Opening her locket she looked at the picture of Alexia and smiled to herself. "She's a Metamorphagus like I am."said Sophia chuckling to herself.

"I've gone there sometimes,Quidditch accidents." said Carter explaining."What a coincidence and it's a bit sad too but I only have my sister and Austin." Carter couldn't believe it he thought he would be the only one in this type of situation.When the girl mentioned being a metamorphmagus he almost exploded knowing he and his son were too."What?This has to be a lie, guess wha?t I'm too"changing his hair color to blue instead of hazel."Twinsies"He said jokingly in his most femenine voice.

Sophia chuckled at his reply.  "Wow... I never met another metamorphmagus before!"said Sophia softly but honestly. "I been one since I was little, and my daughter is one because I'm one of course!"said Sophia softly. "So... how are you liking being a auror? I was going to be one, but I decided being a Healer was more me."said Sophia. "Wow... I thought I was the only one, I finally met someone who understand me!"said Sophia softly. "I lost my sister Nikki a year ago, as for my boyfriend Andrian the same."said Sophia sadly as her eyes turned gray.

"Yeah me neither just myself, my kid and my sister are the metamorphmagus that I know."He said as his hair turned back to normal.

"I'm not an auror yet but the training is very fun, but the real missions,since they give us the easy ones,are much better.When I went to St.Mungos the first time I really liked the idea of being a healer but I couldn't bear seeing people badly hurt so I knew I wouldn't be very good at it.Besides I love dueling."He said a bit embarrassed since he was rambling.

He understood the girl she lost her family just like him."I my mom was a muggle and she had a heart attack and my dad was murdered by an intruder we don't really know if he was a death eater or just a dark wizard,"He said when his hair turned black."and my girlfriend left me with Austin since her parents told her it was my fault I got her pregnant,this isn't so bad since Austin doesn't see us fighting."His hair had turned purple when he mentioned his son.

"Same for me!"said Sophia as she chuckled knowing there were more Metamorphaguses out there besides her, her sister and daughter.

Sophia nodded understanding what he meant. "I know how you feel, I feel that way all the time when I see my friends or loved ones hurt."said Sophia honestly. "But then I realized I'm the one that helped them, it's makes all the difference in the world!"said Sophia softly. "Wow... well, I wish you luck in your training and I know you'll get there!"said Sophia giving him a soft warm smile.

"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry Carter that's horrible!"said Sophia softly. "My parents died in my fifith year at Hogwarts by death eaters, they burned down my house."said Sophia softly but angrily as her eyes and hair turned red in anger. My boyfriend left me after I was pregnant with Alexia, I was left to raise her myself and for the longest time it was hard."said Sophia softly.
