Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

"Come on. GIve,' Robert laughed, now curious. Khaat knew he was afraid it was a radical idea.

"Well, I do really want to go over to mainland Europe for a bit--Abbey and me. I really want to go to Tuscany, maybe the Riviera for a vacation. And maybe stop at a few different places on the way back. "

"That sounds perfectly wonderful. And it sounds like a very good idea. But--it won't be any fun alone. You should take some friends--or family. The guys could watch Abbey while you and whichever-ladies go shopping. You know some of the finest shopping in Europe is in Paris and in Rome. It might be good for you to get away for a bit. I would support that even before you're 100%. There could be worse in the world than dining on French and Italian cuisine and wines. I think you ought to think about it very seriously."

"Well, I actually have been. That was another one of Rob's unfulfilled promises. I wanted to go, he kept promising me that and a trip to someplace tropical, and as you see, we never got there. Anybody interested in either a trip to mainland Europe or the tropics with me and Abbey?"

"Your mother and I. We're in," Robert grinned. "Steven? Jack? Jess? I know Brian will be in."

"How'd you guess?" Brian smiled, not losing one bit of his peaceful relaxed attitude with Jess. "You're doing very well, Jess. You want to go just a couple inches more?"

" he grined as she chuckled looking back at him "I don't think so yet" he heard her say back to him and he laughed.

Jess looked at Brian and took a dep breath "ow no. this is fine for now" she said to brian "let be get use to this depth then maybe a little more" she sid still holding his hand tight she felt confident enoph with him close to let go for a moment but then grabbed hold once more.

"Jess," Brian asked, "If we were on dry land, would you trust me to pick you up?' he asked. He had an idea and wanted to give Jess a bit more confidence and disable some of the fear about drowning. "Think about it a second and then answer me honestly."

"Ok. Then just forget the water is here. I'l going to pick you up." He lifted her and found they were just at the perfect depth for what he wanted to show her. She ended up being at the right height to float. "Ok," he said, "Straighten out your body until you feel the water supporting you. And don't worry. I won't let go. The more confident you get in the water as your friend instead of your enemy, the sooner you'll lose your fear."

Brian waited until he felt the water taking over to support Jessica before he very slowly withdrew his support, so slowly that he doubted Jessica would notice much diference, until his hands were simply there to reassure her that he was still there. She was truly floating now, on her own. "Still feeing okay?" he asked, still perfectly peaceful and calm "This is one of my favorite things to do in the pool. I like just laying here and being this peaceful," he said. 'its a sure stress reducer for me to be able to lay here and just breathe and listen to the birds and nature sounds around me. Of course at this time of night, all we're really liable to hear are crickets. And that's just fine by me too."

"You're ready whenever you feel you're ready." He coached her into a basic swimming stroke and had her practice the basic motions while he held onto first. The he said. "Okay, lets put it together. I'll be right besid eyou. You're still perfectly safe. Just concentrate on what you're doing. Don't think about anything else. Concentrate and you'll do just fine."
