((OOC to Alester: He grew up with werewolves. Any werewolf traits he would have had was cut away with his arm. Sooo.... he can't transform into a wolf. Moonlight would only blind him. ))
((Note: Mariana Diggory had struck first, so I need to deal with both attacks. Sorry if it gets confusing))
James was bit dissappointed by the interesting opponent's disregard to words. He preferred words to fists any day. Still, this.. Alester, he had some good ability, and the skill to use it. Melee combat would be brilliant, but the magic involved would certainly keep things... interesting. James Wake drew in a sharp breath, and readied himself in a fight stance, blade held before him. Then he felt a sudden at his ankle, as his whole body was jolted into the air. Levicorpus? James' brow furrowed as he quickly cast the counter curse.
As James felt gravity perform its proper duty, he tried to flip back onto his feet. It was too far of a stretch for him, however. He instead chose to land on his back, exhaling sharply as his back hit the stone floor. As he struggled to his feet, Alester had begun to strike. He twirled about as he heard the young man bring his blade into a thrusting position. James couldn't be any quicker. He quickly turned to his side, using the forearm of the Alchemic arm to divert the blade. He was still on one knee. The blade nicked his real arm as it was thrust to a slight angle. James winced, but chose to ignore it.
James balled his eyes as full silver light entered his eyes. It was the Moon. Crowley either meant it to actually blind James, or he had been given some notion about James' parentage. James did not ask. Using the silver blade as a guide, James leaped forward, Alechemic hand reaching to grasp Alester's sword hand.
James halted however as a large explosion rocked the ground. Bombarda, the Ravenclaw quietly registered. Who'd shouted out the word? James gritted his teeth as he jumped away from the Tarot user. He pressed his wand to his throat, murmuring Sonorus.
"Imperium Squad. Remember our orders. Dissipate. Do NOT destroy. Our job is to break this party apart, and we are accountable for any injuries we incur. Do not aim to maim, kill, injure, or torment any student. Capture anyone you can, but not if it means additional damage."
Oh, how those words left a bitter taste in his mouth. He had hoped his fellow Squad members would be more responsible. James lowered his wand and glared at Alester.
"Sorry about that Mr. Crowley. I just feel responsible for what happens here, and the event that I am, I don't want anyone to experience a near death experience." James once again stood, ready to fight. "Let's try this again."
