Vincent Majere walked outside to the pitch, waiting for both of the teams to exit the dressing room.

Scorpius walked outside, in his quidditch robes, holding his thunderbolt. The weather was great, perfect flying conditions. He was optomistic of a win because really, Hufflepuff were never the hardest opponents. You never knew though, they could surprise you, and the Slytherin team was full of new players.

Keith walked up to the podium with an easy confidence.

“HELLO HOGWARTS!” He roared into the mic. “FIRSTLY, SOME APPALUSE FOR OUR REFEREE, HEADMASTER VINCENT MAJERE...” He said, taking a small pause.

“AS YOU CAN SEE, WE’VE GOT GREAT WEATHER TODAY, AND AN EVEN GREATER GAME!” The crowd cheered, and Keith swept his hand to the left. “ON ONE END OF THE PITCH, WE’VE GOT THE YELLOW AND BLACK OF HUFFLEPUFF! AND ON THE OTHER, THE GREEN AND SILVER OF SLYTHERIN!” The ends of the stands exploded into cheers respectively, and Keith grinned. “NOW WHO’S READY FOR SOME QUIDDITCH?!” The entire crowd roared as a single unit, a sound so loud it sent Keith staggering. Not that it took much to stagger Keith, who barely tipped the scale at 60 soaking wet.

“WELL APPARENTLY EVERYONE IS!” Keith said, laughing. “NOW, I KNOW EARLIER IN THE YEAR I PICKED SLYTHERIN TO WIN THE CUP THIS TIME ROUND....BUT BOTH TEAMS HAVE UNDERGONE SOME CHANGES AND I’M LIKING WHAT DIGGORY HAS DONE...WHICH IS WHY I’M CHOOSING HUFFLEPUFF TO KNCOK OFF THE CURRENT CHAMPIONS!” The Hufflepuffs erupted into cheers, while the Slytherins sent curses (and even a few jinxes) at him. The attacks hit the magical barrier Keith had requested earlier, and he silently thanked the staff member for putting them up. NOW, WITHOUT FURTHER ADO,” Keith said, ignoring the magical attacks fizzling out harmlessly in front of his face, “THE TEAMS! ON HUFFLEPUFF, HEADED BY MARIANA DIGGORY, WE’VE GOT ASHERS, LONGBOTTOM, MANSON-LUPIN, NIGHT, DAWN, MACMILLAN, AND.........DIGGORY!” After waiting for the cheers to subside, he continued. “AS I SAID, I LIKE WHAT HUFFLEPUFF HAS DONE HERE. THEIR BIGGEST PROBLEM WILL BE THE ABILITY TO SCORE, SO THEIR BEATERS HAVE TO PERFORM EXCELLENTLY IF THEY WANT TO PULL OUT A WIN. BUT THEIR KEEPING IS SOLID, AND THE HAVE ARGUABLY THE BEST SEEKER IN THE SCHOOL, SO AGAIN, MY MONEY’S ON THEM!” He turned to the Slytherin end. “AND NOW, SLYTHERIN! HEADED BY AMINA LESTRANGE, WE’VE GOT RAIN, MALFOY, TRAVERSE, MAGNEMARY, LESTRANGE, KRUM, AND.........POTTER!” He gave the Slytherins a few seconds to cheer on their now underdog team, and continued. “BOTH TEAMS HAVE UNDERGONE EXTENSIVE CHANGES, AND I’M WORRIED ABOUT SLYTHERIN’S NEW CHANCES. THORFIN WAS A HUGE FORCE FOR THEM IN THE LAST GAME, AND HE’S NOWHERE TO BE FOUND. EMOF ALSO PLAYED A LARGE ROLE...AND, WELL, WE ALL KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM. I LIKE KRUM AS THE NEW BEATER, THOUGH IM NOT SURE IT WILL BE ENOUGH! NOW...LET’S FLY!”

Mariana smiled at Keith's comments wondering why this wasn't happening more often, After all what she best did was boss her team around. "Come on Puffers on your broomsticks! And good luck!" she said winking to them before she walked out to the field on her foot for a traditional handshake between team captains. Huffelpuff part of the crowd had gone wild with Keith's comments. "Vote Keith for President!" she said waving to the crowd. She stood in the middle of the stadium waiting for Aminia to come forth.

Woody walked into the arena scared to death about the match, he looked at the other person that was here in Slytherin, "Hey." he nodded his head as a gesture for hello. He looked at him and recognized him from the dressing rooms. He grabbed his broom and walked next to him.

Willow smiled at all of Keith's comments, the crowd cheering for Hufflepuff, roaring their name. She mounted her brrom, smiling. Boy, was she pumped! She was sure they were gonna win! She smiled even bigger, revealing the forest green braces that now hugged her teeth as she heard Keith saying Hufflepuff's keeping was "solid". She was the keeper, after all. Willow licked her lips, as they were beginning to get chapped after all the waiting. She mounted her broom and kicked off the ground, hovering just a few inches above the fresh grass.

The Krum heir showed nothing but indifference and it seemed, as per usual, he’d taken his own spin of style on the uniform. He’d ditched the outer robes and was just in the jersey, breech-trouser things and the boots. He had his broom slung over his shoulders with his arms over the side of it and he hand his bat in the enlarged pocket of the trousers. He’d skipped out on having a cigarette before the match but he’d wished he hadn’t now. He was nervous but he knew it would be a breeze if everyone played to their full potential. He hoped it would go well but cheating would be the last resort if anything. Besides, Eli had his cigarettes with him if it got that bad.

Eli walked out as that idiot began commentating on their team. He was a first year, he had no damn right. Even Nachash, who had been hesitant about going out onto the pitch, hissed, irritated. The snake crawled away from his arm and wound around his broom as took it off of his shoulders. Nachash gave him a parting hiss before melting into the carving of the broom. It seemed as if she wanted to win just as much as he did. Eli walked over to where Scorpius and Woodferd were. He gripped Woodferd’s forearm. He leaned towards his ear and frowned a little before whispering, “Are you going to be okay?”

Nachash was becoming irritated to say the least. It was as if she wanted the blood of the Hufflepuff team covering the jerseys. Eli wouldn’t have necessarily minded but he said nothing on the subject. He knew that she was passionate about her sport just like he was indifferent about the whole thing. Eli threw the broom down and it hovered instantly above the lush grass. He wondered how fast the bloody thing was going to go today. There were a few different stages of speed his broom had – fast, faster, fasterer .... well, it went on from there. It was either fast or faster than that. Eli didn’t know if that would help him or not though. If he wanted to catch the damn Bludgers he would have brought a net with him.

Eli stepped onto his broom and it rose a little further. As much as he wanted to stand for the whole match, he was sure a Bludger would creep up on him. There was a light breeze but it wouldn’t have much of an effect on the game. He took his bat from out of his pocket and began to twirl it. He’d already painted it, Slytherin colours with the snake on the handle. It was interesting enough he supposed. Well, it was different anyway. Eli sighed and looked up at the sky. The damn question was, at that prat of a commentator said, would he be enough? Eli shook his head, he needed to focus not daydream. He knew his mind would be away with the fairies by the time he was up in the air but he needed to at least pay attention now.

Woody was startled, *clears throat* "Yeah, ill be fine.... hopefully. I mean this is my first match and i'm hoping Amanda will be watching." He loved Amanda, and couldn't ever stop thinking about her. "Yeah, ill be fine." he pulled away from Eli's grip because it made him uncomfortable.

Julia clutched her broom in her right hand tightly, it was starting to slip around a little because her palm was getting sweaty. She got very nervous as she heard Keith's voice over the microphone, and the cheering of the audience. She walked up to the line of Slytherins, and stood in between Elijah and Woodferd. "Good luck, Scorp!" Julia called over to Scorpius in a shaky tone, then looked up at Eli giving him a grin. "Good luck to you as well, Woodferd" She encouraged. Julia put her left hand to her stomach for a second, calming down the butterflies until they went away, as she stood there, waiting to begin the game. She stood close to Eli, clutching his right sleeve and looking up to him again for reassurance. "I feel like a five year old," Julia mumbled to him, "but I'm still nervous" She chuckled.

Eli smiled at Julia and reached into his pocket. He produced a packet of cigarettes and took one out for himself. He put it between his lips and offered one to Julia. Eli lit the end of it with a click of his fingers, figuring that it was the only bit of random magic he could do. “It’ll be alright.” He shrugged, taking the cigarette from his mouth, letting rings of smoke escape from his mouth. “Just play up to the crowd, make them believe we’re gonna win. When we do... it’ll make it even sweeter right?” He wrapped an arm around her waist and hugged her. “Besides, badgers are easier to kill than snakes. Snakes, my dear, fight back. In the event something goes wrong I have a few back up plans.”
