What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. 'Fine," Robert said. "Rob won't leave her if the house were to explode. He's a good lad. I"m glad she's got him.. It really was a ridiculous thing though." Robert saw his train of thought being interrupted by books from the study staring to float through the house. He sighed and muttered, "Khaat," tiredly under his breath. He waived his hand and sent the books back to their places. "See what I mean? Someday I plan to find out where these bastards are and get rid of them for good. They'vve been selling this potion for generations, and it needs to stop."

"The potion has her not thinking right," Robert explained. "It always gets worse before it gets better. This could take a few hours. We just got started with this phase. It just basically is putting things back to rights and learning how to duck."

Meanwhile, upstairs, as Rob sat with her, there was a distinctly odd clunking sound outside in the hallway.

The sound was getting louder and louder which meant it was getting closer and closer to the bedroom. Rob groaned and kissed Khaat’s forehead before ducking out of the room. He closed the door behind him and turned around to see a chair, stand up coat hanger and a lamp sitting out in the hallway. Rob raised an eyebrow and made a motion for them to disappear. The chair looked pretty affronted and Rob was beginning to get annoyed. Did he have a short fuse or what?

“Off with you!” Rob commanded, pointing in the direction of the stairs. No avail; the furniture just didn’t care. Rob scowled and took his wand out. He sent a spell at the furniture which obviously went wrong somehow because immediately the furniture began to dance.

Rob ran to the top of the stairs and saw more furniture coming up. He ran down the hall and opened the door next door to his and Khaat’s room. He ducked inside and shut it behind him, locking the door with a tap of his wand against the wood. He turned around and found himself in Abbey’s room. Rob relaxed and sat down in the rocking chair. Nothing could go wrong in here. She was his angel, she wouldn’t be mean to him.

Jack suddenly heard a rummbaling and the cooker exploded into flames as the nobs shot out of their holders at them two red glowing eyes apeared and flames hot from the opening where the door once sat now only white sharp teeth glinted at them , retching for his wand Jack ducked as sharp black handled knives shot across the room to dig into the wall behind him. Holding it out he cast an Impediment Curse the knives fell one by one to the ground but not before one cut his arm, but he took no notice instead focusing on the cooker dragon creature that now lumbered towards him and robert.

Aiming his want at the creature he spoke "Expulso!!" and it blew into peices "sorry only thing i could think of " he said looking at the pices of cooker all around them. Holding his wand back out he spoke again " Reparo!!" and the cooker returned to it non monster state back in its ushuall position. Jack looked at his cut arm the blood had started to congeal but it already had run down his arm, he just sighed and looked to robert "jessica will not be pleased"

"Not to worry," Robert said, laying his hand over the cut, healing it instantly. "Hopefully this will wear off soon, since it started fast. Let's hope so. Just keep your eyes open. You never know what's next. This rarely lasts longer than an hour or so. I think I need to check on Rob. He's got the wholle upstairs alone."

Robert went back upstairs and saw the furniture nolw with a life of its own, all trying to break into the nursery. "Finite!" he roared, stopping tte strange magic. "Rob? You okay?" Robert called, "The furniture is dead."

Hiding from furniture, that is kind of embarrassing. However, Rob didn’t care because his bizarre prick of a father-in-law wasn’t being as prick-ish as usual. Then again, Robert wasn’t really a prick but Rob liked to think so. The guy was too perfect; it was actually unreal. Rob jumped out of the rocking chair and hesitantly opened the door of the nursery. He looked outside and glanced at Robert. Rob opened the door and walked back out into the hall. The furniture looked less evil and more furniture like but Rob guessed that, that was sort of the idea. He was just glad that the furniture was chasing him and it wasn’t the whole house exploding or something stupid like that. It would really ruin his day if he was honest.

“This is why I don’t like these potions. The withdrawals are kind of interesting though.” Rob leaned forward and poked the chair a few times before sitting himself down at it, looking pleased as punch that he’d conquered the chair of doom. “I am ready for anything now.” He declared with a big, boyish grin.

Cockney Accents and Motherly Advice - Page 6 Empty Re: Cockney Accents and Motherly Advice

Robert laughed. He liked Rob. Khaat really had chosen well. Robert saw that Rob was going to stick like glue to her, which was what they both needed. And the proof of it really was, not to bend a phrase, in the vials. They had bonded. Something so rare it wasn't talked about much anymore. And it was nigh onto impossible to undo once done. In fact the counterspells and potions for it were in the hands of only the Master Healers themselves. Plus that, Khaat had a couple of other flaws he didn't like, besides the Remus Warrrior curse. She also saw life as cheap and easy to throw away--especially when it came to talking about her own. Plus that, she took life much too seriously--except when she had Rob. He brought light and laughter and beauty to her world again. Something Dolohov took from her when he killed Remus in the 1990's. Thirty years. Thirty years she had lived with that pain. And nothing anyone could do could take it from her. However--Rob had showed her how to live again, and for that, Robert would be eternally grateful. He was about to speak to the young man when he heard first one sound from the nursery. Music boxes and clumpity-thumpity sounds. The second came from Khaat's own room. He head turned sharply towards Khaat's room, frowning deeply. He sighed heavily. "Well," he said, deeply frustrated, "The first sound is baby magic your daughter is causing in your nursery." Robert stepped over to the nursery door where toys were beginning to dance and play to the sound of the music box Khaat had placed there. And the dragonflies, butterflies and ladybugs flitted through the air. "Your daughter is having just a bit of a reaction to the potion herself, but at least she seems to be enjoying it. I presume you can take 'em." He looked at Rob, just a hint of the boy within himself, a bit of a boyish grin on his usually serious face. But it vanished as came, "The second sound you heard is the one I need to deal with. That, my boy, is the sound of your very stubborn wife going through a bit of a power surge because of this withdrawal. She has just managed to fight off one of my most powerful sleep spells." He turned to go back to the bedroom.

Cockney Accents and Motherly Advice - Page 6 Empty Re: Cockney Accents and Motherly Advice

Post by Khaat Lupin Sat Feb 20, 2010 8:40 am

It wasn't that Khaat was trying to be rebellious. Hell, a bit of sleep without dreams was a welcome thing--sort of. But she just couldn't settle. Now she was just plain sick. She recognized the symptoms of a steadily raising fever when she felt it coming. Here it was. Withdrawal--full bore. And her husband and her father were braver at walking it with her than she was in walking it out. Here she was, Khaat Karina Lupin-Dent--fearless warrior protege of famous Professor Remus Lupin. And she was afraid of a bit of discomfort. Discomfort? Hell, this was ravaging her body and her mind, and she knew it. Discomfort was the saddest attempt at minimization she had done in a long time.

She was severely nauseated, and she was chilling so hard, she literally shook. That had to mean she had no small fever anymore. If she knew one thing about her father or Rob, they were not going to let her within a country mile of a bottle of that potion. And just a dose, just one, would take all the symptoms away. For awhile. But she knew better. She was cold. Really cold. Clear through to the bone. She got up and, dizzily, made her way to the closet for another blanket or four. She only wanted a bit of warmth.
