Varod spit in answer and sat in his corner.
"Fine...be that way..." he muttered, thinking a stream of curses-to himself and to Christy. Himself for handling it badly, and her for freaking out over nothing, as usual.

Christabelle walked over to a group of friends, I should just become a lesbian. she thought as she laughed at what one of them said. She smiled and replied, "Yeah I completely agree." she said glancing back at Varod. She hadn't flipped out over anything until he wouldn't let her walk off.

Varod went back to profiling, his favorite passtime, but his heart wasn't in it.
Soon, he just stood up and went just outside and sat on the steps.
Maybe he would just stay out here until he freezed to death, it would be one hell of a relief.

She laughed and kissed one of her friends on the cheek walking with her outside to get some air. She saw Varod and glanced at him before looking up at the sky and started talking to her friend about the stars.

Ugh, Varod thought. She just came out here to annoy me...
He stood and walked away from them, not even looking Christy's way.
Once he was out of earshot of anyone, he shouted: "I EFFING HATE THIS!"

She honestly hadn't even known Varod had come outside but once she was out there she wasn't going to go back inside until her friend was ready, it would have been rude to leave her all alone by herself when she had asked Christy to come outside with her. She picked up on some trace thoughts of Varod's and groaned inwardly.

Varod laid down on the ground and looked up at the stars.
He looked back at the castle and sighed.
"I'm sorry...for everything..." he murmered, knowing she wouldn't be able to hear him, but saying it anyway.

Christabelle's laughter could be heard as it carried over the castle grounds as well as the girl that she had come outside with. "Christy you can't honestly be serious!" the girl exclaimed laughing as Christabelle laughed and said, "Yes I'm dead serious!"

Varod was alone. He would always be, and doubted anyone truly cared for him.
He went back into the castle and gave Christy a look that showed all his feelings. As soon as he got inside, he grabbed the nearest drink and went back outside and sat back on the ground.
"Why. Am. I. So. Stupid?!" He asked himself allowed. "I can only trust myself. And that's the only one..."

"I'll be right back." she said to her friend as she followed Varod onto the ground. "What was that about?" she asked looking at him curiously.
