Varod frowned and followed her movement.
"I think so..." he said unconvincingly, for he doubted he could dance without being led, or would EVER be able too. He could do a spin in midair and incapacitate five guys, but he couldn't dance.

"I think you are." she said smiling. "I stopped leading a few moments ago." she said laughing a little as he seemed unconvinced of what he was doing. "I told you it wasn't that hard." she smiled and kissed his cheek. "Now was I right or wrong?"

"Wrong."
Varod felt like he was gonna puke.
"This doesn't feel right AT ALL, I don't EVER like being graceful in any sense. I'm more of a 'get me through the day and I'm okay' kinda guy. Not a 'graceful moves create good grooves' or something like that..."

"Whats wrong?" she asked frowning when the song ended and they stopped dancing. "You look like you're going to vomit Varod." she was kinda worried, she didn't want him to throw up all over her if he was actually going to.

"It makes me feel sick," Varod managed to get out. "I hate dancing. This was one of the reasons. I'm completely and literally out of my element when I'm on the dance floor and being all graceful. It's just not me. Let's go sit back down."
He quickly sat down in the corner.

"But you did wonderfully." she said looking at him as he left her on the dancefloor and went and sat in the corner. She walked over to him, "You can't expect me to sit in a corner the entire time I'm here can you?" she asked raising an eyebrow at him. "You know that isn't me."

"But that IS me," Varod replied darkly. "You go and dance, I can't do it. I could barely get through a song. This is where I think, where no one notices me and I notice them. I profile everyone I see, look for threats, escape routes. That is who I am."
He pointed at a woman across the room.
"See her? She's having issues at home. I can tell just by the way she's fidgeting, and glancing over her shoulder while she rubs a red mark that looks like a large, beefy hand on her cheek. I can do that with anyone here. I'm not smart, and I can't read minds. But I can use elementary deduction skills."

"Then why did you even come?" she asked looking at him. "If you didn't come to even have fun then why even bother?" she asked curiously. "Especially if you wanted to see me."

"I didn't register that you would be here," Varod said truthfully. "I come to profile people. I come to make sure everyone is safe. More multiple deaths happen at large gatherings. Don't you remember what I do for a living? And to top it off, I get free drink by coming," he added, summoning a butterbeer from a serving table.

"It should have registered that I would be here." she said looking at him, "Where else would I be. It was required that I come here..." She trailed off and turned around looking down, "Maybe I should just leave you alone.."
