IN THE MOONLIGHT ,

The typical thing was that no matter how she hadn't seen it before, Ginevra had been told in the past, by Darren of all people, that either Topher or Freddy would confess love for her. She had told him he was crazy, but in truth she just hadn't really paid attention to it. She had never honestly thought it was a) come true, or b) matter. B sounded quite harsh but it wasn't meant that way. Ginevra just either thought she was never going to have a love life because of how she felt for the one person who didn't in the least bit want her. "H-how, t-th-hough? It's m-me." she replied, shaking her head. "You deserve so much more. You always have, Toph." It was true. In her mind, she saw herself just holding him down from a better life.

"I just do." Topher stated rather matter-of-factly. "I cannot help what my heart desires. And you are more then I deserve. In my books at least." he truly felt that. That she deserved someone better then him, but he wouldn't give up on her. He had no feelings for any other girl like he did for Ginerva.

Ginevra really was left speechless. This was such a surprise to her that she wasn't sure what to say. There was no way she could do anything to help his case without having true feelings for him. Things like that were just not right. He was also too great of a friend to risk screwing up things with, of course. "I'm a werewolf who never has her emotions straight, disappears whenever I please and barley talk to others because I just don't feel like it. Is that really what you would want to handle? I love how you're opening up, but.. but Toph." pausing she let out a sigh. "You do know i'm just not right for you, deep down at least." rubbing the top of his hand with her thumb, her eyes were still upon his and not away. She really wasn't awkward either, as she wasn't the type to just shy away.

"Do you really believe that or are you just lying to yourself to hide what you really feel?" he asked. "And no matter what you may be, I still have the same feelings, werewolf or not. I cannot help that, and I do not want to change how I feel"

What was a good thing to hear was the fact that nothing changed just because of who she was. Sure, she had said it and all but still- that wasn't the point. The whole point was that she wasn't so proud of being a werewolf. Who would, after all, love the fact that they were some hairy beast by moonlight? Urg- not Ginevra. She was a girl who didn't consider waxing forign, thank you very much. "I do believe that I could never treat and love you how you deserve to be treated and loved." she replied, nodding. She wasn't just all talk and lies. No matter what he wanted, the truth or not, he would get the truth from what she could figure out in her mind. She found lying pointless because eventually, in reality, everything came out sooner or later.

"I understand if you do not feel for me the way I do you." Topher said. He really did, it hurt him a bit to not have her feel for him as he did for her. "But at least you are not lying about false feelings and leading me on. But just remember that I am always here." with that, he was finished, for a time. He needed some time to ponder what just happened, and he figured he should let her talk.

Ginevra really wasn't sure what she should tell him, and what she shouldn't. He did have a special place in her heart, but how special wasn't like Darren's spot. That was what mattered, and leaving out the fact that she knew he was still in there somewhere could save him from continuing on with trying for her when she couldn't give him the end goal. "I wouldn't lie to you about something like that. If anyone, you deserve the truth." Ending there, she let it sit in silence for a few minutes, giving herself time to think as well. "Y-you're not going to disappear on me though, are you?" she was sort of hypocritical as she had disappeared before too, but she had to ask. If telling him she wasn't fully in love with him ended their tight relationship she would sure come close to wanting, or actually, taking a bullet to her skull.

"Of course not!" Topher said mildly offended. "I would never leave you. Whether we are friends, or more. I also understand that we are to be no more then close friends, as we are. So I...uh...will just hide those feelings." he said blushing. "Plus, now I have someone to disappear with, so from you, there will be no disappearances of me, but from others, there may be." he said grinning.

Cracking a smile, she had to let out a light laugh as his face was offended and she had to say it was an amusing look for him. "I'm very glad to hear that, sorry for questioning your faith." she commented, looking at her legs as she shook her head. Letting it casually go back up, it was at a slow pace but there was no rushing things. They had all night to talk, just them and the stadium standing tall around them. "Disappearing sounds okay, just as long as I am there, yes." she agreed fully because she didn't know anyone else who would really care if she went away, and as for him- well, she couldn't think of anybody and unless she was wrong, he wouldn't leave if there was someone else he cared for a lot still here needing him. He just wasn't the type, that she had noticed years before today.

"It does." Topher said. "Just think..." he began, putting his hands up into the air. "A nice warm beach, not completly desserted, but not overpopluated, or deserted if you prefer, and sand so soft, and temperatures perfect. Weather that allows you to not need a house to sleep in, you can just go under the stars." He sighed. "That just sounds wonderful."
