Varod was surprised at first but fell into the kiss soon after, and started playing with her hair out of instinct.
When they finally broke apart, he said "uh, you're sure you don't wanna stay, then?"
With a sly smile, he continued to stroke her hair and he kissed her cheek.

"Just tonight." she said looking at him, "After that things can't go back to how they were." she said sadly. She was kneeling on the floor infront of him and couldn't help but to kiss him on the lips once more.

"Just tonight? Maybe that'll be enough time to persuade you to stay with me," Varod said, more to himself than to her. "Well, wanna spend the night actually in my bed?" he asked, hugging her close. "And if this is the last time, thank you for giving this to me, Christy. One last time with you sounds great."

"I probably won't sleep." she said looking at him speaking quietly. In fact she hadn't slept since the night before she found out about her father's murder. She yawned and her eyes and face showed how tired she was but she knew she wouldn't find sleep. Not anytime soon anyway."

"Oh well, we don't need to sleep, if you get my meaning," Varod said seductively. "That would pass the night..."

Christabelle sighed, "I don't think I've ever heard of a farewell going like that." she said sighing. "But that wasn't why I probably wouldn't sleep." she said looking at him, "I haven't slept in two days now."

"I know why, but we might wanna do it one last time...In case we never get a chance again?" Varod said sadly, kissing her cheek lightly. "You want to?" he asked hopefully.

She looked at him and kissed him on the lips lightly. She didn't need to give him a reply to say she would. It reminded her of when she had rescued him after Nick's disappearance and she remembered the same sentence structure now that he had used then. She stood up and made her way back to his room motioning for him to follow....

Varod was laying beside Christy, breathing heavily.
"Well, that was fun. Never done that with vamp powers..." he muttered, kissing her softly. "Changed your mind about stayin with me?"

She kissed him back, "No." she said looking at him. "I'm sorry but I don't think it would work." she continued to say, "Please I don't even want to think right now."
