What's that supposed to mean, Anti?
Do you really think you can protect her? When everyone she knows wants to kill you and everyone you know wants to kill her?

She returned the kiss to him, affectionately, or so it would seem to him. She nodded her reply to his words unable to think anymore. She had blocked her mind off to everything except what they were doing.You're going to break his heart. she thought as she kissed him again.

Varod broke away and stood up, getting dressed.
"If you can't be with me then we shouldn't do this..." he muttered. It was the hardest thing he'd ever had to do. "You should go and find someone who hates vamps and weres and all them. Like you said, you can't be with me."

"Whats wrong?" she asked looking at him. She was confused. "I didn't say I couldn't be with you tonight." she looked a little angry. "This was your idea!" she said growing angry in her confusion. "Why are you going to do that and then say this?!"

"I changed my mind. You don't want to stay with me ever again, so I say screw it," Varod told her coldly. "We may still have feelings for each other, but you're too damn stubborn to admit it and I don't want to spend another night with you!"
It took everything he had to say those words.

She looked at him wide eyed and hurt by his comments. She had wanted to stay with him. It was killing her that he was what he was and what he was was the same thing that killed her father. She actually started tearing up again, unable to move from the shock and emotion it caused her.

"What you're doing now proves what I'm saying!" Varod said angrily. "I will always love you, but you will always be too stubborn to admit the same to me!"
Love is cruel, but at least you're growing up a little.

"What have I done?" she asked looking at him. "Other than trying to shield my heart from getting broken again because I'm smart enough to know it can't take it." she said looking at him, she had made a point. It was better to freeze it up now than to let it get hurt again and possibly never heal.
