A lot of things in the world just never would be great. Nothing was perfect, ever, and people couldn't be either. Ginevra knew this well, as she was far from it and so was the one person who she had fallen for two years previous. He was far from it, actually. He always pushed her away, told her she was stupid and critizied every move she made. Still, something about it just kept her drawn in. When it came to trust, she did trust Darren. Ginevra had a catch with how or how she didn't trust people. In a way, yes, she was very trustworthy, but in others she was not. Anyone would be trustworthy in Darren's eyes, as he didn't trust anyone- not even her; even if she had parially convinced herself otherwise. To get Ginevra's full trust you had to be Ginevra herself. To get the next level of trust down you had to be Darren, an inch below Topher. After that was when it came down to the two things that seperated her from being very trustworthy to not ever. For some, she would tell them simple things that she was asked. Others she wouldn't ever say anything that was personal. People like Scorpius never asked anything and fully stayed away, so in a way he would have been trusted if it came down to having to talk to someone. There was just always a limit. If you pushed it, you would never find out one thing. If you didn't, you had a chance. Everything was just complicated to view from how she managed things.
Shrugging, Darren had obliviously forgotten that he was once forced, in a way, to be a Death Eater as well. Until Voldemort was killed, he had no choice- being a Riddle and all. Afterwards was the only time when he did. It was the same for Scor, as he had to be as long as his family was still alive and loyal to the force. Knowing he was right, it still didn't worry her. She knew she was able to protect herself. "You really think they're going to use Scor to get to me, don't you?" she chimed, shaking her head. Even if it was plasible, he clearly had a low view on all Malfoys, not just Sue. The point where he had caught her slightly was the 'if not just for mine' because for the boy in front of her, she would do nearly anything. Her throat had felt a lump, and she had avoided answering the part in general. It worked out better that way. The upside of the whole thing was she didn't think he was aware using himself in any sentence to get her to cooperate always worked, instead of just sometimes. She clearly saw this as a positive thing, aside from a negative.
"It wont be the first time." she pointed out, having gone to more than one dance with him in the past, even if it wasn't the Yule Ball. In a way, you could count the only other Yule Ball though, as she had spent most of her time with him, and if he hadn't been a contestant himself, she would have most likely gone with him in the first place. Fully aware that the comment probably wouldn't leave him with unnarrowed eyes, she was comfortable with just looking at him. Any smart-ass like comment always had an amusing reaction. Rolling her dark eyes and letting out a sigh, she couldn't believe he still had a problem with eye contact. With anyone who wasn't Darren, Topher or Scorpius, she did as well, but seriously? Him having troubles towards her? It wasn't something she would ever get either. It had been one of the things she had just never asked him about, as the answer was probably something she didn't want to hear; Ginevra wasn't aware that he didn't know the answer himself. So, asking or not, a difference wouldnt' have been made. Ignoring his annoyance with her, she continued on. "Since when do I not tell you my business! It's only you who never tells me. Hypocrite." she muttered the last part out under her breath, obviously not pleased.
