Come {BREAK} *me* {DOWN}, bUrY *me*, bUrY *me*

Sterling couldn't stand the pain in Catalina's eyes... he just couldn't bear to see her in such a way. Accio wand, he thought, although he didn't have one in his hand. Surprisingly, the wand rolled slowly toward him, until it was within grabbing distance. He'd never performed wandless magic before, and doubted he would ever be able to again unless the situation was this desperate. He muttered some minor healing spells and numbing spells... but he knew that with her condition they would be little help.

"I'm so sorry... this will make it better..." he said as a tear trickled down the side of his face. "Stupefy," he whispered. He meant it as an anesthetic rather than a curse, and hoped that the gentleness in which he said it would make her lulled into a peaceful rest rather than forced into unconsciousness.

Sterling stroked Cat's cheek lovingly. He needed to carry her somewhere far away from here... he doubted he would have enough Deliberation to apparate right now, his mind was far too distracted wit Catalina's wondrously beautiful face, that she always seemed to make perfect, even in unconsciousness.

The most efficient way would be to use Mobilicorpus, but Sterling wanted to do things manually [[like when Harry buried Dobby]]. A fireman's hold would be the most effective and efficient way, but it seemed too disrespectful to her limp body. Sterling unlaced his fingers from her reluctantly. He gingerly placed and arm behind her head and another under he knees so he could carry her, cradle her. She was a lot lighter than he had anticipated, but that may have only been from the adrenaline. He hoisted her up ceremoniously and with a sigh that was a mix of longing and relief for her safety, he looked at Ace and asked, "St. Mungo's or your place?"

"Summoning a drink would've been preferrable, but whatever. Give me a sec." He whipped out his favorite piece of chalk and quickly placed some pebbles in a circle. One quick transmutation, James was holding a syringe. He figured that it was rather imposing. "Don't worry," he said, comfortingly. "It's morphine- it'll knock her out until the worst is over. She's going to need a comfortable bad after I administer this, so please tell me you live close by. I'd take you to my place but-" James bit his tongue. He was talking too much.

Sterling didn't understand. She was already unconscious, why did she need an addictive drug? He covered her with his arms protectively. "I guess we'll go to St. Mungo's... I don't think she needs that." Sterling said, with distaste.

He started trudging toward the section of London he knew St.Mungo's was. He would have to start walking faster, because it would take an hour to get there carrying her. Or at least clear his mind enough to apparate there. "It'll be alright," he said sincerely.
