Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

At the Ravenclaw Table - Page 4 Empty Re: At the Ravenclaw Table

[[OOC: Beauxbatons is two genders, by the way.]]

Davina smiled at Catalina and Sterling, though didn't make much of an attempt to join in their conversation. After all, she didn't have much to say. She wasn't really looking forward to the holidays. At home alone with her mother. Her mother had always been the pushy one. Now that her dad...it would be worse at home without him. Not just because she missed him, but he was never as social as her mother was. Her mother was really social. Unlike Davina.

Davina pretended to be interested in Catalina and Sterling's conversation. She nodded along, putting on the appropriate expressions, although she was only half-listening to it. She wondered when the house points would be announced.

This was something Ginevra was not looking forward too; summer. She hated it. Being alone all summer was not pleasant and since it was never safe either, she was lonley and alert. Being at Hogwarts at least guarenteed people being around. Her best friend was not returning next year, but graduating this and so yet another worry was on her back. What would happen next? Walking into the hall, she sat down at the table for Ravenclaws and just waited for something to be said by anyone, she was not in the mood to start her own conversation. She was curious, though, who had won the houe cup.

Sterling started to notice that everybody that sat down at the Ravenclaw table looked oddly troubled and quiet. "What's wrong?" he asked as a general question, mainly towards Davina and Ginny.

Catalina giggled slightly at Sterling and then her sapphire eyes swept over the dismal faces of the new Ravenclaws that sat at their table. She watched them closely, trying to read each expression. She did not know the other girl besides Davina, but she was sure that they would introduce themselves eventually.

Sterling noticed Catalina searching the people he was surveying and felt reassured. She had a way with people... she would know if they were lying, they would be able to bring the truth to the surface. He was particularly interested in Davina, whom he and Cat had been discussing frequently

He gave her a look to let her know that they were thinking along the same lines. He wished he could use legilimancy... it would be so nice just to see information without having to force it out of people. He wouldn't mind people doing it to him... why should others?

He searched Davina, desperate for some shred of information that she wouldn't give. She had been so closed off recently... just when she probably needed to be the most open.

Izzie sighed. No hello or a comment on her dress. She felt like she was the ugly duckling and they were the swans. She reluctantly poured herself some juice and sipped some.

"Oi! Izzie!" Sterling called, after noticing how troubled she looked. "Would you like to come sit by us?" he offered, gesturing to the seat on the other side of him. He smiled warmly. It was very likely she didn't want to, but Sterling wanted to make sure the offer was known. He knew what it felt like to be disconnected and left out, and didn't want anybody else to feel that way.

Izzie looked up at Sterling and nodded. She grinned and got up, walked around and sat down beside Sterling. "Thank you...But how do you know my name, I don't think I've ever met you" Izzie said unsure.
