Relaxing in the Common Room;; Open

Sterling smiled at her. Her blue eyes enchanted him again, but he looked away, blushing. "Evil is in everyone, but good is in them all too." Sterling said. He even felt sorry for the Slytherin girl... probably duped into servitude to Voldemort in the same unfair manner as he had been.

Sterling gazed at his savior. If only everybody had a strong, Order member to bring them back when they were lost in darkness.... the world would be free of it. Sterling doubted even Voldemort himself could remain evil after having a serious talk with Cat...

Sterling leaned into her a little closer. He was worried he might be making her uncomfortable. He smiled. "Evil is easy. Very much so. It can seem like the answer to everything. Such a quick easy solution. The power can corrupt... everyone." he said with a tinge of guilt in his voice. His heart accelerated again, pounding much harder than it had before.

Sterling believed her. She of all people... a paladin in the darkness. He leaned even closer into her. His cheek was now a few millimeters away from hers. His heart vibrated. His stomach lurched. His temple pounded. "Everybody imperfect," he whispered, hardly audibly as his mouth was naturally so close to her ear already.

Catalina knew something was up. How could she not? They were so close. Davina couldn't tell her. She just couldn't. Especially with Sterling there. Sterling! He was breaking the Dark Lord's law. She didn't want to report him, he had been so nice to her and helped her make up a spell as well! She tried to tune herself out, she didn't want to hear what he was saying, she didn't want to be a traitor to her friends. That wasn't what she joined for, she wanted to hurt the Ministry. Sterling was betraying the Dark Lord! She may have no choice. She didn't know what to think. She thought it best to ignore them. She hid her head in a book. It wasn't working! She could still hear parts of their conversation. She gave up. She would leave. It was that or giving up Sterling. She certainly didn't want to do the latter. "I'm tired, I'm going to bed. Night." she told them as she got up. She walked out of the common room and up to her dormitory. She hoped her dreams would be nicer.

Guilt surged through Sterling again. Evidently, he wasn't strong enough. He hung his head a little, ashamed in himself. "What could she could be hiding?" Sterling asked, rather startled.

He had known Davina, nice, shy Davina. There was definitely something different about her the last few days, but Sterling couldn't quite tell what it was. But Davina wasn't the type to hide things... she was too shy to have anything to hide in the first place! Yet the wise and venerable Catalina suspected her... of what?
