"If you want to see us in our robes, why not just look at our school photographs?" Marcus asked. "We haven't changed all that much, not really.
"Meh," Angus shrugged, "Look at it this way. They just can't get enough of us looking good." Marcus laughed out loud.
"I like that," Marcus said.
"Angus," Robert's voice sounded from the floo. "You boys there?"
"Yep. Both of us," Angus replied, going to the floo.
"So, I'm still at the ministry," Robert said, "Kate tells me your gran is warning everybody in radius about something but we don't know what just yet. Did you have any dark dreams last night?"
"Well, sort of," Angus said. "They were pretty vague. They had a sort of vibe that some sort of doom was coming but it wasn't specific. Nothing helpful. I was in a pretty dead sleep, though, I admit."
"Well, having spent as many years as I have being outnumbered by seers, I'm not stupid enough to brush it off. Besides, we've all seen your gran, so we know she's not a figment of someone's imagination. We're still gathering intel from Irene about where these kids could have gone, and we don't have a clear direction yet. That's just going to take time. Given what we know, I want you two to stand down for now, and if I need you, I'll let you know. You're both able to gear up on a moment's notice, so I'm not concerned about that. For now, though, until we know more, you boys focus on Vasil and his family and on Anise's competition this weekend. If that changes, I'll let you know straight away--fair enough?"
"That's fair," Angus replied.
"I honestly don't expect Vasil to need to be here more than another day or so. I think they're going to be able to take Mileva home and take care of her at home, so that will let you all focus on Anise and prepping her for the tournament. If you need help with that, you let me know. I'll help her in whatever way I can."
"I appreciate that. We're considering dress rehearsals so she gets to feel comfortable with dueling in her uniform."
"Now that is an excellent thought. let me know how it goes," Robert replied.
"Will do. Thanks," Angus said as Robert turned off his floo connection. Angus looked at the others. "I guess we're off the hook for now."
