The teens got up, and Edward volunteered to take the kids to Evan's so he could pick up some bottles of wine while he was there. Sam and Victor headed to work. Simone cleared away what dirty dishes there were and set a washing up spell for them before pouring more coffee for herself.
"I don't remember a darned thing after Robert helped me back inside," Angus told Ruby. "I must have been dead to the world. "I'm sure I probably do need a cut. I haven't been off the estate, not voluntarily anyway, for weeks. I'll try to get it done whenever I get out again." The contractors finished their breakfasts, and they thanked Simone for the meal and excused themselves to go to work. They gave Angus a wave, not wanting to disturb them, and they left to go get started.
"You need some food, Mate," Marcus told him. He got up and headed to go fix him a plate.
"Go gently. I'm not ready for a full meal yet. It's too early for me," Angus said. "But this bed does have to go today. I can't have it here."
"Give me a minute to get your plate first," Marcus replied. He had no intention of moving the bed anywhere today, but he would deal with that with Angus when Angus had at least had his coffee first. Angus watched the Fae all rallying together, and they got the injured fairy and levitated him and flew him outside. Angus understood. They were taking him home. Then he looked at Minos.
"Minos? A word please?" Angus asked. Minos flew over and Angus asked him if the alchemist's stump had been salvageable. Minos shook his head no. "I'll talk to Jack. We'll get him a new stump as soon as we can so he can have a new home. Everyone deserves to have a place to call home. Can you handle getting it turned from a stump to a home if we get you the stump?" Minos nodded, grateful that Angus was always thinking of someone else's needs. "You'll have it as soon as I can manage. I'll go talk to Jack as soon as I can get into something besides my bloody pajamas." Minos nodded, understanding. Then he fluttered out to help get the alchemist back to the village.
"I wish there was more I could do for him, but I honestly don't know how," Angus told Ruby, sighing, feeling helpless. "Was Sam okay this morning, with it being his first morning back?"
