Cris sat and looked through the frog cards, but since he wasn't reading English yet, it let him see faces but it wasn't giving him much understanding of who these people were. Edward explained that most of the cards depicted famous witches or wizards, but it didn't necessarily mean they were famous for doing good things. That made sense to Cris, though he wasn't sure why anyone would be interested in collecting evil figures, and Edward said people were always willing to find people who thought and felt like they did. Cris just shrugged, simply accepting Edward's explanation for now.
Angus thanked Ruby for the coffee, and as he was simply sitting with the coffee, there was a knock and then Michael let himself in.
"Thought you'd like to know that Robert's awake, he has a really severe headache, and, after he woke, he insisted on being home, of course. Nigel did a bit of surgery to close the stab wound. It was messy but not necessarily lifethreatening. Robert does have a fractured skull, as Jess detected, but for now, unless he develops complications, there isn't a lot for them to do about that except for giving him pain potions and encouraging him to have quiet and rest. Nigel is going to be here with him for at least a day or two, and he's going to split his time with Andrew, Khaat, Brian, Jess and the rest of them. Interestingly, Robert does have some very vague memories of hearing some fighting. He wasn't conscious enough to see anything, but he heard fighting. That had to have been you when you fought with Evelyn. He knows we got him away from her, and he's grateful. Right now he's sleeping in his room at the main house. We debated on taking him to the farm since it's quieter there, but since he's going to need to have some rotating shifts of people tending him or 24 to 48 hours at least, we've put off any thoughts of taking him to the farm until we know he's not going to have complications from the head injury. Just thought you'd all like to know that he's home, and he's alright so far, and he's glad you all were there to get him out. Well done."
