Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Lesson 4 - Basic Level Empty Lesson 4 - Basic Level

Post by William Winston McCoy Mon Nov 01, 2010 11:17 pm

Another school year, another bunch of new and old students... Every year the same, but every one of those years he enters these classrooms with a smile on his face and joy in his heart because of the classes and the opportunity to teach new wizards and witches what he knows. The lesson plan and the working methods are still the same, the classroom is still empty... but the latter will soon change. Professor McCoy took his seat at the front desk and waited, scrolling through papers.

Xemnas stepped in the class and immediatly observed the room.He was a little nervous about the class because he didn't know what to expect. He was nervous about the teacher, the lesson, everything basically. He sat in his seat and took out his materials.

Leslie walked the Transfigurations classroom and smiled. "Good morning Professor, I hope your well."said Leslie softly taking her seat in the middle of the classroom. Getting out her things for class she set them neatly on her desk. Looking around she didn't see her friend Sam yet but class was still early and everyone was probably still on break. Leslie was a person who always made it to class on time if she could help it for she never wanted to lose points for Gryffindor. She was actually proud that Gryffindor was winning and she hoped to get them some more points.

Sam walked into the transfiguration classroom and paused at the door. He took a quick look around the room before spotting a friendly face. "Hey Leslie," he said with a grin, walking over to her seat and sitting next to her. "Ready for a fun lesson?" he asked, his voice laced with a small amount of sarcasm, truth was school was dull, but at the same time, Transfiguration was one of the better lessons. "Morning sir," he added with a wave to professor McCoy. "How are you both?" he asked, that one aimed at both Leslie and McCoy

Aurora walked into the classroom and looked around for a moment. she then nodded to the professor and looked to see who all was in there. she only knew 2 of the others but the gilr she had never met with before. Aurora noticed that no one had taked her usual seat in the left back corner so she went and sat in it and began to sort through her stuff until she had what she needed for transfiguration class. She actually love transfiguration. It was fun and the classes were simple at times. This was the main reason Aurora would take trasniguration until she graduates. That is if she passed her owls good enough to take it.

Leslie smiled as Sam walked into the classroom and greeted her. "Hey Sam, yeaah I am every single day!"said Leslie with small amount of sarcasm back. Leslie didn't hate school but it was dull and boring at times but Transfigurations was always worth it. When he asked how she was she shrugged. "I'm alright, what about you Sam?"Leslie asked him softly. "Ready to win Gryffindor some more points?"Leslie asked him softly smirking at him.

''You seem to be decreasing by the class, and that is, although I am long aware of the fact, still saddening. But, what can we do? Good day to you all and welcome to Transfigurations. I presume that all of you, at some point in your lives, wanted to have a pet rabbit. In front of you, you see a small object, a ball, a box, a stick and a statue. Using today's spell, meaning Lapifors, you will need to transform those small objects into real live rabbits. Mistakes are possible, since this is one of the first spells you'll be dealing with, but if such things happen, just call on me and I shall correct it by giving you another shot at it'', he said.

Xemnas looked at the proffesor and felt more relieved.Mostly in his life, one mistake and your done, but now at least he has a chance to mess it up,but not on purpose. He looked deeper into the teacher since he was getting into the subject at hand."turning items, into rabbits.Seems easy enough"Xemnas thought feeling very cocky. But deep down he knew he was probably goingo to mess up.

Just wait till she wrote her letter home. Everyone would laugh so much. Muggles actually kept rabbits as pets. Well, of course, they kept rabbits at home, too. But they were kept out behind the kitchen, and Cassie and her brothers and sisters weren't allowed round there specifically because those animals weren't pets. It would be hard to set a pack of dogs after something called Fluffy, and even harder to eat it.

Cassie had a feeling there were about to be a lot of things called Fluffy in this room in a moment's time. She sneered at the thought.

Sam smiled and nodded, "At least it's Transfig, i mean, we could be taking something like... History of Magic, or something," he said with a chuckle. Luckily enough one of the smarter headmasters (Admins : D) Had decided to make sure that History of magic was no longer a compulsory subject, still, he'd had to endure 3 years of it, nevertheless to say that it was painful in so many ways!

Then as the teacher spoke Sam sat up and listened to him, before grinning, this one did seem like a great lesson, with any luck they might be allowed to keep the bunnies, who knew! He listened carefully and nodded, accepting what had to be done and making note of it.

He grabbed the little statue in front of him and pulled it closer, pointing his wand at it and tapping the statue. "Lapithors," he said, achieving nothing. "Bugger," he muttered, continuing to try
