Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Lesson 2 - Basic Level - Page 2 Empty Re: Lesson 2 - Basic Level

Andrew picked himself up off the floor from being unseated, dusted himself off, unharmed, and complied. He went to the front of the class and waited on the fellow Gryffindor to follow. There was something just not quite right about being asked to fire upon a girl. And the professor's consolation about being there for her if something did happen, for some reason, seemed a bit thin to Andrew.

Andrew had seen how some of his classmates' spells often could and would go awry when the students tried to practice them during their unsupervised hours. They were just as likely to try to stupify someone and end up transfiguring them into a shoe or something else as bizarre. He just hoped he didn't turn the new Gryffindor in the room into a shoe. He was quite sure the new girl would learn quickly that one was always better to be early to class rather than one moment late. Ever. His mind got a really unpleasant visual of the new student being gingerly laid, in her form as a left oxford shoe, into a bed in the Hogwarts' hospital wing. He frowned slightly. His mind did sometimes worry about the oddest things.

Adebola put her head in her hands. I knew this was going to happen Ade thought to herself as she took her head out of her hands. Ade hesitated to get up from her seat, and huffed while walking to the class. She stepped a few feet back from the gryffindor boy. He looked like he knew what he was doing, but can't be to sure she thought. She closed her eyes, put her hands to her side, and stayed still. " Ok I'm ready, but can you count to three first ? " Adebola asked the boy .

Ezra sat patiently, waiting for something exciting to happen. Yes, he was here early enough, but didn't really say much. He didn't want to say much. In fact, he was bored out of his skull by DADA. These pompous asses of teachers couldn't teach a mouse how to eat seeds, let alone teach a class like this. They thought that the students were mere playthings, to bend at their will to make them do whatever they wanted them to. He made a motion with his hand, making it look like a muggle gun, and pointing it towards his head. He pretended to shoot himself repeatedly.

Aurora ran into the room. "Sorry prof. Wilson that im late its a little hard carrying so many books without a bookpack when you have a broken arm." She said. Most people knew she didnt like people using spells on her no matter what. She might not even let people heal her if she was dying but who knows? Aurora quickly walked to a desk and dropped her books onto it.

Counting to three? Well, that was a simple enough request to ask for being set on one's backside. He counted, "One...Two..." On two he took careful aim at the fellow Gryffindor. He paused for just a second. He wanted to be sure she was ready. She looked like she was doing her best to brace herself, but Andrew had learned that if someone was throwing a punch at one's jaw, one was best to roll with it and not brace against it. Bracing always made it hurt more, he'd found.

"Three!" He finally counted. "Stupefy!" He fired his wand at the Gryffindor. There was part of this that was great fun, but also felt so wrong, even if it was in a classroom. He understood Wilson's thought behind it, but he still didn't like firing on a classmate. Well, much, anyway.

Ade flew to the floor on her back at count of three when he casted the spell. She picked herself up and her wand that fell out of her pocket, then dusted off her clothes. That was pretty simple she thought to heself. Ade didn't know whatto do next so she asked casually, " Are we done here ? "

''You see, nothing happened. That was a good spell, boy, I have to admit. Ten points for Gryffindor. Now, you girl, you can have a take at him. Yes, I know it is slightly unfair that the boy receives two blasts, but he did volunteer, didn't he? You, broken girl, Nye, get ready with Yawn Boy over there. And do not give me any nonsense, I want all of you to do this spell as it should be done!'', Wilson said, satisfied with the current situation.

"sir.. What spell are we doing? I wasnt here to hear what the spell was and wasnt paying much attention to others doing a spell." She said to the professor. She usually payed attention but she was still mad and depressed so she didnt pay attention to anything else in the world. She looked boredly at the professor not aware of anything else going on around her.

Aurora thought that there wasnt much anything she was supposed to think about.
