Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

(Too bad he works today Sad Makes me sad a bit because I could get him to get on! XD)

Christy looked at Emil, "You could but then not only that but you'd have to lead me when I walked and you might mess up my hair more." she joked. Not that her hair could truly be messed up with as many tendrils as she had, it was amazing that they could stay as neat looking as they did. Of course she always took pride in her hair and never went anywhere without it at least looking tame.

"So when would you like to go out?" she asked him curiously changing the subject a bit but not going completely off topic.

(Well, he might be on when work is finished, right? If not today then tomorrow would be fine, or whenever he can. It doesn't matter to me 'cause I'm happy Emil got a date. Razz)

"How about after the meteor shower? I know where to go, and I can drive us there" Emil answered. He looked back at Daniel, "What shall we do with him after we go? We can't very well bring him on a date all alone, he'll be sad".

Daniel looked out to the sea, then back at them, "Wha? Oh! Me?" He didn't know what to say to them because he hadn't been paying attention, he just heard his name. He still had the meteor rock in his hand, even though he thought he'd given it to Christy.

Emil blushed, "You're very pretty, and easy on the eyes. Unlike some women back home, you're pretty much perfect". Emil learned a little bit of English from romance movies that he was forced to watch with his mother. He only ever enjoyed time with his father, since he'd let Emil watch movies he would actually like. His eyes closed for a little bit, he was a bit sleepy.

"Why don't we all lay in the sand right now, just to watch the rest of the shower?" He sat down in the sand and laid back.

"Aww! Du bist süß. Obwohl ich aufgewachsen in Deutschland und nicht in England." she said to Emil hoping he understood. She knew most of the students from Durmstrang did in fact understand German and she figured it might be easier for her to say somethings in German to him. She knew what it was like having to learn another language and not being able to pick it up as fast as others. Plus it gave her a chance to speak in German again and she missed doing so.

"Wow you really don't miss much Daniel do you?" she asked looking at him, "We were trying to figure out what to do with you when we go on our date because it would be sad for you to just be a third wheel." she said sitting down holding her legs to her chest and looking up at the sky.

"Ich könnte erklären, schlägt Ihre edle Statur vor, dass Sie nicht von diesem Platz sind", Emil said, his mother was from Germany so she taught him how to speak it. Though, his main and first language was Bulgarian. He sat up and held Christy close, allowing her to use his chest as a headrest. "Daniel! Thank you. Thanks for bringing us together, thanks for everything. Danke".

Daniel smiled sweetly at the two, now, if only Brienne and Simon were to go together like that. They would make a great couple as well, he thought. Matchmaking others kept his mind away from his own misery, his own loneliness. Besides, if Stanley were alive today, he'd be proud of him for doing something so chivalrous.

She leaned back against him, "Nun tut mir leid, ich spreche kein Bulgarisch, aber mein Cousin hat. Ich ging nie um Durmstrang so bekam ich nie die Chance zu lernen. Meine Eltern hielten es besser, dass ich meine Zeit verbringen Beauxbatons Lernen Charme und so." she said looking at him and then back at Daniel. "You must like playing matchmaker don't you?" she asked him smiling and letting out a giggle. "And now I must return the favor."

She knew she had to figure out how to repay him some how for also helping her out of her duldrums and she figured she would pick a time to tell him that her wish had come true as of now.

"Nicht, entschuldigen sich Sie brauchen nicht, das zu tun. Ich wurde unterrichtet, wie man Deutsches spricht, also bin ich mit so tun okay" Emil replied to Christy, his heart pounded in his chest. He was noticeably nervous because he feared that Christy might just leave him or something. "Well, Daniel did a great job bringing us together. I thought I'd say that in English because I think he should know it as well".

Daniel blushed, "I love playing matchmaker, and match-keeper. I didn't match my sister up with her date, her friend did that, but I wanna help them out, you know? Make sure that Brienne gets all the love she needs, and returns the favor for Simon. She belongs with him, in my honest opinion. I've become match keeper there, trying to keep them together."

Translations:

Nicht, entschuldigen sich Sie brauchen nicht, das zu tun. Ich wurde unterrichtet, wie man Deutsches spricht, also bin ich mit so tun okay = Do not apologize, you do not need to do that. I was taught how to speak German, so I am okay with doing so

(Sorry for posting on Brienne's account. I've not been thinking)

Christy looked at Daniel, "Well I'm serious about doing something for you." she replied looking at him, "Even if I have to drag Godric from wherever he is kicking and screaming I'll do it. He can be stubborn at times but he'll eventually come around." she said smiling, as she turned to Emil, "Actually you might know him. He went to Durmstrang up until last year and then at the end of the year he returned to finish up school a year early."

(its ok. Sorry this is so short)

(No apology needed)

Daniel sighed happily, "You're the best friend I ever had!" He had butterflies in his stomach. Suddenly, his phone rang. Brienne was in Hogsmeade, so she was able to call.

"Hello? Uh....no....yeah? Good for you! Uh huh, uh huh....good! Okay, bye". He looked happy when he got off the phone, "Guess what? Brienne made Sub-Captain and Seeker on the Ravenclaw Quidditch team!" He was smiling wide, and about to jump up in the air.

Emil nodded, "I know Godric, he's a great guy. He was the one who helped me understand Astrology. I'm grateful that he did, too. Otherwise I wouldn't have anything else other than Quidditch or my other athletic ambitions. I needed something like that".

"Oh thats great!" she said looking at Daniel, "I was captain and seeker of that team last year." she said frowning a little. She missed playing quidditch. "Well I'm glad that he doesn't hardly ever use a broom because I can stomp him in quidditch." she said laughing. "I'm pretty good at most academic stuff. I did finish school a year early though." she said blushing because she realized she started to sound like a nerd.

Emil smiled, "You're very smart, beautiful and talented. You're all I'd ever want or need, because you make up for what I lack". He blushed as he said this, and tried to hide his embarrassment. He threaded his fingers through the woman's hair, "Such beautiful locks, so reminiscent of golden threads". He looked up at the stars, the meteor shower was starting to wane.

"It's soon time for our date. I'm sure you'll love where we're going".

Daniel smiled, "Really? That's awesome. She could probably use a couple pointers from you."

(Sorry for the shortness, I've gotta do something)
