Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

"Its not really painful just uncomfortable." she replied as he snuggled up close to her. She leaned against him as she flipped through the pages. "I am pretty good with my magic." she said looking at him, "But I won't know until I try it I guess." she said finally finding the page that she needed. She cursed under her breath a bit. She was good at potions but this was a really complicated potion. She knew it would be better if Godric had been there to do it.

"Emil are you any good at potions?" she asked looking at him curiously. "Charms are more so my strong points." she said blushing and then laughed looking at Daniel. "He might be good to stay here. It would be bad for him to be drunk like that in the past."

"I'm....I isshhhhhh gooood at posheuns" Daniel replied drunkenly, not realizing it was directed to Emil. Emil laughed heartily.

"Uh, I'm moderately good. However, that potion looks a bit complex and could take a little bit of time", he replied. He scanned down the ingredients list, "Some of this stuff will be very hard to find, if you can you should help me since I don't know if the area around here has the proper ingredients or where to go to get them. Or, do you have your own personal apothecary as well?"

Daniel laughed at the last remark, even though it wasn't meant to be funny. He fell down and dozed off, the empty decanter in his hand.

Christy couldn't help but to laugh at that. "Um yeah I don't think I want him anywhere near my potions room like that." she said looking at Emil. "I'm moderately good but this one is so complex that I just understand what its telling me to do. But thats about it. Godric normally makes most of the potions I need." she admitted blushing. "Maybe he'll show up. If not me and you could probably figure this out between the two of us."

She sighed, "Of course I have all the ingredients. Former Minister's daughter remember."

"Well, just because you're a high-ranker doesn't necessarily mean that you might have everything. You might be out of something important, or something. I don't know, I'm trying to make conversation" Emil said, with a hint of nervousness in his voice. He looked down at the passed out boy, "You know, for someone who can hold his liquor, he sure can pass out". He looked up a little, "If only Godric were here, he'd direct us, or just make it himself. I really would love to see my past life".

Daniel snorted in his passed out state, and belched.

"No I'm just saying, we always have everything because of the fact that someone is always making something around here." she replied blushing, "I didn't...just going to drop that now." she looked at Emil and smiled curling up closer to him putting the book on the coffee table in front of them, "Well do you wanna do something until he wakes up?" she asked curiously, "who knows Godric could show up and he'd make it for me I know."

Emil stared at Christy wide eyed, "What can we do here?" He saw himself getting a little curious, "Did you mean....? Oh, that's probably not what you meant, you're too....prioritized for that. What in Merlin's name was I thinking?" His mind tended to lapse into dirtier thoughts, even in the company of the one he loved most. He had no way of telling her, though, without making it seem like a cheap excuse. "I'm not thinking straight, maybe I'm still asleep". Frankly, Emil looked and sounded comical whilst saying this. He cleared his throat, and picked a book from the shelf. "How about I read to you? It'll help me with my English".

Christy had to laugh at him. He seemed a little embarrassed and she thought it was cute as she leaned over and kissed him on the lips. "Not that yet." she said smiling. "Eventually sure, just not know." she had caught on exactly to what he was talking about. "You can read to me if you want." she said looking at him, "And I can help you with the words if need be. I would guess I would be the perfect English teacher since I'm fluent in it and lush over there is passed out drunk."

Emil smiled, "I was hoping that wasn't what you meant, 'cause I'm not prepared yet". He opened the book that he chose, it was an old copy of an unreleased book written only a few years ago. The name on the cover seemed familiar enough, but Emil didn't know where he heard it before. D. J. Cethin. He couldn't quite remember who that was, but ti would've helped if he knew what the first initial stood for.

"Okay...'The Middle Man of Diagon' by D.J. Cethin. *Page flip* The night was chilled, fresh snow fell over the cobblestones, painting them a lush white. A set of footprints marred the blank slate, stepping towards the Leaky Cauldron. Mark couldn't quite find the man who'd called him here, only traces left in the memories of fleeting people passing in and out....". As Emil read the story, it became increasingly evident that this was a romance novel. Not just any romance novel though, a man/man one.

Christy thought she recognized the name of it. and listened to him read it, having a feeling of who's book it was. She would have never seen those books in the library when her father was alive. He hadn't even thought about Godric being that way. "Liebe, I think thats one of Godric's books, if you want to pick another one you can." she said looking slightly embarrassed by it. She had wanted to know how it had ended up in here since her little sisters and Cristina came in here at times.

"I wanna know though...who wrote it? I've never heard of a D. J. Cethin, have you?" Emil said. He flipped around the book for some autobiography or something. He found none. "I wonder if he knows who wrote this, but I am afraid to wake him up. He might get mad or something, what do you think we should do?" He promptly put the book on the sofa armrest, then picked out another from a different section. It was a cleaner book, a science-fiction read.

"'Life Sciences', by B. I. L. Burns. Hmm, seems interesting enough. Has a lot of science, stuff like that. Maybe it's a great read". He looked on the back to see that it was written by a Muggle. "What's a muggle book doing in here?"
