Khaat's head was seering. She could hear Mari from somewhere in the distance. It didn't sound good. Sounded like she was angry-- in a battle or something. She woke, feeling like she wanted to take her head off and put it on a shelf and come back for it later when it stopped hurting. The stupid lights were waaay too bright, and it took her a minute to focus. When things came clear, she saw Blaire first and then Mari.
"Blaire?" She frowned. "Mari? Where am I?" She began to look around to get her bearings. Oh. One of the St. Mungos emergency rooms. What on earth had happened? It took a moment for her to see that she was wearing the slimcut sleeveless, summery lemon yellow linen dress that she had put on early this morning---well, all but her white stillettos...Was it this morning? What time was it anyway? She had no clue. Hm...this room needed clocks, for goodness sakes.
"Sophia!" she remembered, her memory returning with a jolt. That made her head hurt. She jumped up, clutching her head at the sharp pain it sent from the top of her head, clear down her neck and into her back. Her knees buckled all of a sudden, and she clutched hard at Blaire to keep from falling flat on the floor. "Mari, this is an emergency, where are my shoes? Wait...on second thought, forget the shoes." She didn't know if she could walk in them anyway. "I have to go back upstairs," she looked at Blaire, hoping he would help her get upstairs. "I have to find Sophia. I swear, if anything happened to her...." her voice trailed off, not wanting to think of the alternatives. "We need to put this place on full lockdown until we can search and see if she's here," Khaat told Blaire and Mari. "Matt's going to kill me. "
