Escape to Brian Quinn's

jack stifled a sneeze again he was about to protest at Brain taking his coffee but could do nothing but hold his nose "I could have but didn't know where every one was, besides im use to being shouted at by Jess if I aperate in to teh hosue , guess i just thought the same here" he sighed loking at the drink in his cup nd with a deeper sigh he drank it all pulling a fce as the last drop went down "happy" he said looking at Brian" god that was horrible" he placed his cup in the sink and sighed "The ministers daughter , wow you must have some infulance "on hearing Ne'os name he turned to look at Brian "some one should put that man out of comishion for taking such a young persons magic " he said feeling better. leabning againt the sink he nodded "i can get jess to gather all we need and bring it threw " he said taking a pen he wrote small note and sent it to her.

Not long after a nother floated down to him and he opend it "ok jess says she will bring it later shes got somthing shes cooking she wants to bring with her" her relayed "I guess securitys going to be beefed up while shes here?" he asked taking ut his shirt from the drier and sliping the now dry top on.

"Well, it might taste bad but you won't get sick. And as for apparating indoors, Jess might not like it, but you will never ever hear me criticizing you for using your magic unless you deliberately hurt someone I love. Then we will have a big problem. However, I can't see you doing that, so I think its all good.

"And you know Jess is welcome here any time. I think she will enjoy having all the women around, and it will be nice to see the kitchen used and busy instead of just a place to hold coffee and beer and magical potions. So, it should be fun. You know, I ddn't expect the house to ever have so many people in it, but its a good thing. I like it.

"As for influence, that's not me. That's Khaat. She and Matt are tight friends. And she's also Emmy's boss. So, yeah. About the only influence I have in this whole thing is having this big empty freaking house out the the middle of noplace.

"If we do go to Azkaban tomorrow, I will ask the ladies to stay inside to make your jobs a bit easier. Even so, its a big house and you'll have to be on your toes. But I know you're both capable of it."

Jack smirked "thanks , jess would flip if I did at home , I'll tell her she a can cook here she's not a bad cook, not as good as Khaat but good just the same " he listened to Brian speak of Matt Lestrange an how the only influence he had was having a big empty house "We now you have a full big house " he said chuckling "and Ow , thanks for the potion, I feel a whole lot better , even as you say it did taste foul " he chuckled "would it be ok if she brought Andrew and our twins , it would be good for matt’s daughter to have some one to play with?" he said "ya know while jess is preparing the food for your return, if you go that is but something tells me she'll go whether you want to or not" he picked up a piece of carrot out of the fridge that he had opened and nibbled on it. Now he looked forward to Jess’s cooking again, sparks was all right but having his wife cook while his kids played sounded good about now.

"I have no problem with your kids coming, but I don't think Sophia's going to do much playing with them unless she is helping to look after them. She's a 7th year at Hogwarts. She's almost ready to graduate. She wants to be a healer, so I plan to take her under wing and try to teach her a few things. and I'm positive she could learn from Robert. But, sure. By all means. Bring the kids. That's fine."

He decided, on impulse to enlarge the coffee pot to double size in order to accomodate all the people. He waved his wand and doubled it. "That should definately help," he said, proceeding to make a very large pot of coffee. "I'm sick of us making a hundred pots of coffee every day. I'm happier with more coffee, and I know a lot of us are. The better Khaat feels, the more coffee she's going to empty out of that thing.

He heard the thunder rolling overhead and saw lightning flash. "Well, here comes the worst of it. I'm glad we're inside. The last I saw Steven he was in the gym. Have you even taken time to check that out? I would think a big muscle guy like you would enjoy that room. Oh, and don't forget there is a big pool table downstairs. I guess I sort of made the basement a guy's hangout. Didn't have much need to make a hangout for ladies, but if Khaat is going to stay that will have to change a bit I presume. I don't know. we haven't discussed it."

Jack chuckled at his mistake "oops , last time anybody spoke of her I think they said she was small still , my mistake" he said and chuckled "I'll tell jess " he watched Brian enlarge the pot and chook his head "how may you expecting an army" he said but on hearing him mention Khaat he nodded "ok, that’s just fine " he chuckled listening as he mentioned a gym and pool table in the basement "nice but its best if one of us stays up here to keep an eye on everything" he paused as he saw the flash of lightning and heard the crack he could feel it made the house shudder slightly "that is right above us" he said as another followed quickly after , it was then on the second crack the sound of broken glass came from an up room Jack looked at Brian and bolted to the stairs hoping nobody had tried to get in reaching the room he saw a tree branch hanging there a window as the rain ran down it to drip onto the carpet. Pushing it out, he quickly repaired the window and stood back "can't I stay out of the rain for one hour" he said chuckling as he saw the front of his shirt wet again , but with a quick drying spell he was warm and dry again.

"Thanks," Brian smiled, as Jack came back. "So let me ask you a question. Are you feeling more comfortable with Steven and me? I know we had a bit of a difference of opinion, and I know that might not be our last. But Steven seems to have come around nicely, thanks to your help. Now I sort of have been feeling like you're a bit uncomfortable. I don't want that. I want you to feel like you're every bit as much a part of this as anyone else. And, if you are going to think about being a part of our international operations, being comfortable with me is a must. Its more important even than how comfortable than you are with Robert. So where exactly do you stand?"

jack looked at him and sighed "Its all right " he said "Im just not use to working as part of a team im always on my own , but given time and the cercomstances i'll come a round , just" he folded his arms across his chest " give me some time and space and yes I know we will come to blows. " he moved to look out side window "like I said just give me space and time to adjust back into it " he looked back at Brian. He was not angry but he was a little out of sorts he ahd nerv been use to doing what some one else said but he guessed to be part of the team he would and he knew they would butt head one day"yeah stevens relaxed again as he should"

"Look, Jack. I like you. I think you have tremendous potential to be an asset, not just to Khaat and Abbey, but to our larger organization. And I do know how you feel about not having anybody to report to but yourself. I was once like that. But the pay sure is better working for Robert. You'd find he is an exceptionally generous employer--in all respects. You don't think I made enough money for this place all by myself did you? And I didn't inherit it all, that's for sure.

"I'll tell you what. If you want to learn more about me and who I am, what I'm like, how I treat the men who work for me, I'll take you to my headquarters and let you see the place and let you talk to my men yourself. Let you ask your own questions and let them give you their own honest opinions. I can't do that for everybody, obviously, but I could do it for you. But its your choice."

Sophiia nodded when Khaat told her it wasn't her place but it was Brian's a friend of hers. "He has such a beautiful place."said Sohia softly. Sophia nodded when Brian told her her room was three doors down this side of the hall. "Thankyou Brian, and nice meeting you."said Sophia softly before he left her with Khaat and her mother. "Lets put your things in your room, and me and Khaat will give you a tour of the house."said Emmanuelle soflty. "We'll be right back Khaat."said Emmanuelle as she grabbed Sophia's trunk while Sophia grabbed Angel and her firebolt.

As they walked three doors down Sophia gasped as she seen her room for it reminded her of her bed at Hogwarts but it didn't have any other beds around it. "Wow, this is my roo?"Sophia asked her mom breaking out of her shyness. "Of course it is Sophia, Brian wouldn't have gave you this room if it wasn't yours!"said Emmanuelle laughing. As she put Sophia's trunk down she pointed her wand to it was it started unpacking her clothes and putting waht needed to go ini the drawers in them and what needed to go into the closet in it. As Sophia looked at her Gryfiindor robe she sighed. "Don't worry Sophia sweetie, you'll get them back I promise."said Emmanuelle softly.

"Come on, lets meet Khaat back in her room so you can get a tour of the rest of the house."said Emmanuelle softly as she turned and looked at Sophia wh didn't look so good. "Mom I'm not feeling very well."said Sophia leaning against her bed post before she fainted. "SOPHIA!" Emmanuelle shouted before she caught her daughter in her arms. "BRIAN, ROBERT GET IN HERE QUICK!" shouted Emmanuelle putting Sophia on her bed. checking her out.She hoped they gotten her scream and came up here quick so they would know what happened to her.

He stood faceing him "I was wondering where this came from" he said looking around as Brian spoke more , it was then jessicas panicy voice came threw the floor "Jack, Jack the kids are gone" she said flying threw and into his arms " I was cooking and when i sent to check on the kids they wern't in the crib I looked avery where they gone jack " she said as tears roled down her face as she held him "find them and bring them home " she said threw her tears .

Jack looked at brian his face now holding the look of a man possesed " you want me in your orgainsation I acepted and this is what happens , now my family are missing , " he stepped forward "find them" he said anger clear in his face " and I am coming , don't even argue, my family is at stake " he took Jessica up to khaat while brian delt with emmy and sat her down beside khaats bed. Kneeling in front to her he made her look at him "I will not return with out our children I promise you " he said softly to her, leaning up he kissed her gently then resting his head on hers for a moment le looked at Brian " Lets go".
