Khaat was talking with Emmy and Sophia when Brian came in. "Well," he smiled, looking at Sophia and then back to Emmy and Khaat, "I didn't know you have company, Khaat. Who's your new friend?"
"Sophia," Khaat said, "This is Brian. This is his place. He's the brother I never had. Brian, Emof took Sophia's magic witout he consent. She's as muggle as I am right now. Matt is her dad. I've invited her to stay with us, at least until her magic returns and she can go back to Hogwarts. "
"No problem," Brian said, not liking the idea of a wizarding student with no magic on her own, basically. Khaat was right. She was far better at his place than Hogwarts or any place else. At least there were always experienced guards around. "Sophia, there is an empty room three doors down on this side of the hall. You can use that room if you like. Make yourself at home. If you need something and you can't find it, just ask somebody."
"Emmy says Sophia wants to learn to be a healer," Khaat said.
"Well, you might get a chance to actually either observe some things here and learn. There are a lot of healers here. I'm sure we'd be happy to show you. And Khaat's father is a Master Healer and a Potionsmaster. If you really want to learn, you want to learn from him. He's the best. Well, nice to meet you Sophia. I came in here, though, to tell you were in for a severe storm. You all should stay inside until it passes now." He excused himself and left.
"Emmy, why don't you leave me with Sophia and take her on a tour of the house and get her settled in her room. I know how tired it can make you when you lose your magic. I don't have mine right now either, Sophia. Ne'Os has mine too, but we'll get through it together. I promise. It should be back in a week or so. The spell doesn't hold any longer than that. I've read the spell itself. Next week this time, we'll be ourselves again. So in the meantime, just enjoy the vacation from school."
