Escape to Brian Quinn's

Robert flew back up to Khaat's room and found Brian on the floor, and instantly felt the cruciatus at work on his friend. "Finite!" He pointed his wand right at Brian and stopped his pain. Brian crumpled in relief, and also in guilt.

"It wasn't her," Brian gasped. "She didn't go willingly. She apparated Abbey out separately, and the thing..it took her. It...it looked like a dementor..."

"No," Robert said, "That was no dementor. I'd have known it if it had been. First things first. " He turned to Jack and with a very complex spell, he healed Jack of his wound. "Neither of you are any good to me like this. Jack, apparate back to the farmhouse and see if Khaat sent Abbey to Katherine. Go! Quickly! She didn't have much time to think. There are few places she'd send her daughter in a hurry."

jack aperated away his shirt still staned with his blood and he reaperaed at the lipin farm "Kate are you here ?" he said worried "Kate did abby come back here " he shouted in a panic even though robert had mented hi wound it still ached slitly as he moved around the farm loking for her he hoped to god she had sent abby here as this would be the safest place for ehr.

"Abbey?" Katherine frowned, coming out into the kitchen. "Not that I've seen, but...if I know Khaat...wait a minute. Let's check something." She disappeared deep into Robert's potions lab. She emerged, with Abbey in her arms. "She was safe on a basket of clean towels in Robert's potions lab. Khaat would have known its the most secure room in the house. " Katherine peered in the blankets. Abbey had never even awakened. "She's fine. Tell Robert she's perfectly fine. Alright, Jack. Khaat would have never done this unless she was at risk. Where is my daughter?"

jack looked at Kate "we don't know the hosue was attaked by a dark entity she was taken and she sent abby here for safty , I have to get back and let them know , but belive me we'll find her " he said as he walked to the main doors "Thats I promise kate" were his last words anshe aperated back to brians "Robert shes with kate she was in your potions lab" he said relived some that abby was safe but not where was Khaat.

Robert was helping Brian to regain himself. Recovering from a cruciatus wasn't easy, but Brian was standing up to it as best as he knew how. "I'll get her back, Robert. You know I will," Brian swore. "If it takes the last breath I have."

"Slow down," Robert said. "Let's just focus a minute. I should be able to feel her if she's still alive. Let me go think and see if I can't focus and get a fix on her." He walked out of the room, noticing that her wand had fallen to the floor in the scuffle. She was unarmed and weak. He was not going to let himself think that perhaps her last act was to save her daughter.

He walked through the house alone, trying to think, trying to get a fix on her.

Brian cursed, furious with himself. Of all times to fail, this one had not been the one.

jack moved looking at Robert glanceing for a moment at Brian then back to him "what can you feel ?" he asked softly hopeing he could tell them where she was so they could go and get her ao she could recover properly, but iside he wa curing himself at letting such a oviose trick catch him out he was realy ut of practice and he knew for next time not to dfall for it .

"Not enough," Robert said, "She's either unconscious or far away. I'm going to go see what Kate can see with her seer's abilities. You two secure this place. I'll be back."

He apparated home and explained to Kate, who went at once to her palantir to find out where Khaat was. She worked for quite a long time before looking up at Robert. What he found out sent him into a rage. "I'll get her back, Kate. I swear."

He apparated back. "Do either of you two want to go to Knockturn Alley with me? I think she's actually under it, not at street level."

Jack immidiatly steped forward "don't have to ask sir" he said his eyes burning with anger now " I hope the dealers don't have her they could try and dope her again" he said soflty to himself "we broke up a drud ring they were in teh catacombs under the knockturn ally may be its them whos took hr again" he sugested knowing he would ether be right or wrong.and he hoped wrong.

"I think these people think Rob Dent owes them money, and they know I locked up Rob's money for Khaat and Abbey. I think this is all about money," Robert said, "This is one of those things I was afraid of." Brian got to his feet, not about to be left behind. Brian didn't say a word, but his blood was boiling. He had a score to settle, and he was not going to be denied it.

"What are we waiting for?"he asked impatiently to Robert, "I want her back--before they hurt her."

"They may already have, "Robert said quietly, "Let's go. I'll meet you two in Knockturn." He apparated out.

jack followed aperateing out of brians home and on to knockturn alley reappering next to Robert his eyes now wolf like as he foughjt to control that part of him that wanted nothing more than to rip those men apart. he looked at him "where too " he asked his voice now sounding slightly gravealy as he stood beside him his nails grwoing till like claws "we'd better find them and fast " he said looking at him.
