Escape to Brian Quinn's

Jack watched as she walked with Robert she didn't go far so didn't need him to follow when she sat down and Robert sdaid for her not to sleep too long out side he nodded "don't worry " he said pulling down a shade cover to take off the sun from her "I noticed you had it installed so why not put it to good use " he said smiling as the sun was now shaded from her .

"Khaat has always liked the sun," Brian said, "I think he just knows she's fueled right now to overdo if he lets her. I don't blame hi for being overly cautious. I'm sort of feeling the same way myself," Brian admitted.

He watched Robert bring a wide awake Abbey downstairs on his shoulder, "Look who I found wide awake in her crib," Robert smiled. "You certainly are a beautiful little girl, Abbey Lupin. And you can be out here with your mother if you aren't in the sun. But for right now, its my turn to spoil you just a little bit. He sat down in the shade near Khaat and put Abbey on his lap. She seemed to giggle and coo and seemed to almost smile at him.

jack smiled as he saw Robert bring Abby out as he sat on the rail admiring her "she sure is a cute one Robert and its grand perants privalage to spoil " he said grinning to him and watching him with abby before turning to look back across the grounds to the woods here he knew Steven had seen the pochers before,he saw something flash deep in teh woods and moved from he porch "Brian get Khaat inside carefully, it could be nothing but some thing or one is in the woods " he said moving closer to the trees between them.

Robert laid Abbey on Khaat's lap, and Brian apparated Khaat into her room, into bed, and put Abbey back in her bassinet. He covered Khaat, drawing his wand. If there was something outside, it wasn't getting in here. Not in this room.

Meanwhile, Robert stood, and went over beside Jack. "What did you see, exactly?" he asked.

Jack looked at Robert " something glinting like a lense or a site I am not sure , could be the pochers back that steven delt with " he said stepping foward as a second fash came but this time he felt somthing hit his shoulder and he was thrown to his knees his hand reatching for his shoulder. He stood back up and ran into teh woods right in the direction what ever had hit him ahd come from, he saw a figure move to his lef and somthing went again this time hitting a tree he stood close to he looked back to see if Robert was following .

Robert saw the second flash, just as Jack had. But he took a different route. He apparate up ahead on the path, and before long he heard running footsteps coming his way. He drew his wand and fired at the blur he saw coming, shouting, "Petrificus Totalus!" He was hoping he could stop or slow down whatever had seemed to be coming straight at him.

jack moved watching as the man or creature seem do vanishin a whisp of smoke just as he heard Roberts voice "what the?" he said now feeling pain from his shoulder his hand moved to hold it thinking it was just a bruise a he moved to where Robert stood "what was that , have you seen anything like it before ?" he asked as he drew level with him,

"Oh, it could have been a lot of things. Right now, we need to get back--at once. It obviously can apparate, so I suggest we get out of here first and do everything else later. " He did know that Jack needed tending, but first and foremost, they had to check on Khaat and Abbey. "Do you need help getting back?" he asked.

Brian felt evil energy penetrate his house, despite all his shields, and it was coming right for Khaat's room. He shook Khaat hard, "Arm yourself," he said quickly, accio'ing her wand to her. At that moment a hideous shapeless dark figure entered the room and brutally attacked Brian with savage ruthlessness. Brian dodged a killing curse, surrounding him and Khaat and Abbey with a Contego spell. But as he did, the figure struck Brian with a cruciatus that was so strong it knocked him right off his feet to the floor.

Khaat apparated Abbey away, and the figure picked her up magically and disappeared with her. Brian cried out in anguish, not only because of the cruciatus, but because he had failed and Khaat and Abbey were gone.

Jack didn't awnser but moved quicky back to teh house and up the stairs "god dam i should have know it was a trap" he said kicking teh door frame as he moved into teh room to check on Brian " Robert!!" he shouted now feeling his own wond incressing the pain he felt "where would she go?" he asked standing he didn't car about his own wound now but getting Khaat back, he fought to get his wear side under control again his anger not helping "Robert where would she go?"
