Escape to Brian Quinn's

"Hello, Andrew," Robert laughed. "Andrew is the son of one of Khaat's bodyguards--Jack Black Heart," Robert introduced the boy to Sophia and Emmy. "We decided that some of us were hungry for a big grilled steak, so Jack's wife came to help in the kitchen. And she brought Andrew and her infant twins. Be careful exploring this big house that you don't get lost, Andrew. I do not want to have to come looking for you," Robert laughed. "I'ts liable to take us awhile."

Andrew nodded "if I do the pirates can save me" he said grinning to him "one gave me this " he said and took out of his pocket a gold coin and walked over to Robert "my dad's one now" he said proudly as he clutched the coin and placed it back in his pocket "I want to be a pirate when I grow up , I want to fight bad me " he said and pretended to be casting spells at them with a stick. "I am brian the pirate and Im going to beat you" he said grinning.

Robert laughed. "I bet you're going to make a fine pirate. But Brian is a secret pirate, so you have to keep that a secret if you want to be like Brian," Robert said.

At that moment, Brian passed by the door, and Robert said, "There he goes now. You might enjoy asking him about being a pirate. I'm sure he has a lot to tell you, and he could take you on a tour of this big house. You ought to go catch up with him before he gets away."

andrew looked at Robert confused "I thought all pireats wanted to be known?" he said but tehn grinned as Robert said Brian and gone by the door " hey , Bri can I be a pirate !!" he said as he ran out eh door to find brian, grabbing his hand he walked with him "can i be a pirate?" he asked looking up at him "one gave me this" he sad and held up the coin to him.

"Sure," Brian laughed. He took the little coin and looked at it. It was just an unenchanted coin. He knew they often gave the kids a french coin that looked liek the ones that Brian made into portkeys. "Do you know what this is? This is a passport to adventure. IT will take you anyplace you want to go and it will let you have any adventure you like. You can pretend that it takes you in a big ship out on the open sea, or hunting for a treasure chest on a tropical island. Whatever you want to do. This coin will let you do that. All our pirates have one of these coins. So, have you found your way through this great big house yet?"

Sophia looked at Andrew and gave him a soft warm smile. "Hello Andrew I'm Sophia, I'm sure me and you will be really good friends."said Sophia smiling. "A pirate huh? well I never met a pirate before so you'll be my first."said Sophia softly. "Maybe once I get well we can go tresure hunting, how does that sound?"Sophia asked Andrew giving him a soft warm smile. Sophia fought to keep herself awake for she didn't want to fall asleep when there was people around to talk to. Sophia looked at Brian and smiled. " Brain right Andrew, it is trust me it takes me on wild advenures all the time!"said Sophia softly.

Andrew nodded smiling to her and then left.


Looking up at brian he grinned " a girl called Soph said the same , wow" he said taking the coin back and sliping it in his pocket " maybe later my tummy is growly" he said rubbing it a small briuse showed on his left wrist a long with a small cut that now sat angry against hi lightly tanned skin.

"Looks like you got a real pirate scratch there," Brian said, "But you don't need to have that now. Let me see it." He touched the spot very lightly and removed the scratch and the bruise. "You have anymore of those? You really don't need them. If you do, let's get rid of them. Any pirate knows he has to keep himself in good shape. And you know, I bet Sophia is a really good story teller. I bet she tells really great pirate stories. Let's you and I take a walk and I'll show you the house. You can go any place in the house you want, but don't go outside without a grown up. I don't want you to get lost, and this place is soooo big, you'd get lost really easy. I think your mom is working on cooking dinner, but when we get to the kitchen, maybe we can 'pirate' away a couple nibbles of something to tide us over until its time to eat."

Andrew crunched up his face as Brian took his arm and took the bruise and cut away "wow , do you think if i was a piret i could do that?" he asked, sheking his head when brian asked if he ahd any more "the man I kicked gave me that saying i was noughty but i was stoping him hurting my buba"he said looking at Brian lokinmg as if he would cry his bottom lip quivered some what till brian sugested sneeking some nibbles and he smiled

"Well, its gone now and so is that man. Let's go check on your mom." Brian smiled, leading him downstairs.

Meanwhile, Robert finished tending to Sophia for now. "I think you're going to be just fine," he smiled. "And you were really good with Andrew just now. He likes you. Getting along with kids is an important part of being a healer. You have a lot of natural abilities. You'll do well. Emmy, I think I smell Jessica cooking in the kitchen. I don't know if you both want to simply join our steak fry or whether you want to fix something else for Sophia and yourself, but feel free to make yourself at home. Whatever you like. Sophia, I'll check on you a little later. Make sure you tell us right away if you start to not feel well again."
