Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

"Ah, well, there's your mistake with your potion," Brian said, watching him pour his potion into his tea. "Remus used to try that crap. He didn't like the taste of it either. He tried adding sugar or all kinds of things to it to try to make it tastes a bit less foul. But every time he did that, he found it rendered his potion almost completely ineffective. He had to learn to drink it straight, even though he never liked it. But he also found he only had to take it just before and during the full moon phase. You can ask Robert, but I bet he'll tell you that's what you're doing wrong. When you mess with Wolfsbane potion in any way, you reduce its effectiveness, sometimes making it totally useless."

"Remus did it because he loved too many people to risk hurting them. I could see it in his face every time he took it. He would picture the people he loved in his mind--people he would do anything for, no matter what, and he would take it for them. Because he had an experience where he bit Robert once when they were younger. So far, though, Robert has never one time manifested the slightest symptom. How, we don't know. Nobody knows. But that's why Remus always feared that Khaat might be a werewolf. The possibility is that she got it from him. That's why she wears that green necklace all the time. It prevents her from ever making a transformation and wards werewolves in their natural state away. When a werewolf is in human form, the stone just glows a bit. I'm sure you've seen that. However, if you were to ever try to do her harm, and I'm not saying you would, but if you did try, the stone would ward you away far before you could ever hurt her. The bad side of that necklace is, for her, that she can't take it off. Remus enchanted it so that only he could remove it, and he was never willing to. So, short of losing her head literally, she's stuck with it forever." He took a sip of tea and accio'd two mugs up to Khaat's room and one up to Emmy.

Jack sighed "I can understand that, been there myself, one reason Robert gave me remus's potion so I could control it , I have never hurt any body" he looked into his cup "I was turned as a boy I ran away from a foster home, the father used to beat me , I wondered a forest and came across a man, he seemed hurt but when I went to help , he lashed out and bit me" , he held out his arm to show the faint bite mark "and then that full moon I changed , scared the living ... ahem lets say for a boy i grew up pretty fast" he said once more puling his shirt down over his arm.

"Well, Remus loved his family and friends so much that, until he went to Hogwarts, and sometimes afterwards, he had Robert hide him in a secure place that he could not get free of. Robert has never told me where that place was, but Robert woudl take him there at sunset and go back and get him at sunrise. Wherever it was. It was Remus's choice to, basically, incarcerate himself when he felt like things were not going to hold for him. Knowing he had already bitten Robert, he wasn't about to take a chance on, especially, hurting Khaat. Khaat was the child he believed he would never have. He raised her from infancy, sort of like we're doing with Abbey. Khaat and Remus just bonded the instant she took her first breath, as Robert tells it. Poor Teddy just never got much of a chance to know his father, and vice versa. Much as Remus loved Teddy, he was taken from him far too soon."

Jack sighed thinking back to his on mother "something else we have in common " was all he said as he pored a fresh cup of trea now he didn't need the potion any more , sitting down he sipped it slowly feeling like himself "I think thats jessicas problem she hever knew her perants I got to at our weding but then there was a big fight and she left, I think she just couldn't take that jessica was strong willed as she was, Im just glad Khaat and abby are back together, she's done so much for my family im sure jeica would never forgive me if anything happened to abby or khaat" he drank his tea quietly then once finished he placed the cup in the sink "ow, nice place by the way" he said smiling "your chairs are way comfy" he chuckled.

"I'm glad you like it. I'm hoping Khaat gets well enough soon that she can really enjoy all that this house has to offer. There is so much here that she and Abbey could benefit from. I told Khaat she and Abbey could stay here as long as they like, even if Khaat decides to stay here forever. Trust me, I wouldn't let either of them have even the slightest need. Not ever. I hope that Robert can remove that spell that has Khaat's brain fogged. That bothers me. A lot. I don't want that for her. He seems to think that it might wear off with sleep."

"Me, too," Brian sighed. "I'm going to go upstairs and see if she needs anything. I just feel helpless. If I'd been on my game better, this would never have happened." He went upstairs and stood in the doorway, watching Robert sitting beside Khaat's bed. He had seen this so many times. Hours and hours Robert had spent sitting beside her bedside. Hours that had been robbed from Khaat's life for one reason or another--hours she could be spending now with Abbey but for this.

"Penny for your thoughts," Robert said, getting up and going to Brian.

"You'd be shortchanged," Brian smiled slightly.

"No. I doubt that. Brian, I can see the guilt all over your face. You're allowed to not win every time. It happens to all of us. What do you think all that training was for? Teaching you how to take a hit in front of your men? It wasn't just to teach you how to be macho. It was to teach you how to cope with not winning every time."

"I know. But this is different."

"This is especially when you need to use that training. Brian, she's going to be fine. I won't let it be less. Be patient. She'll snap back from this little setback fairly quickly. Watch and see "

jaclk looked out over the grounds once more his ow guilt sat heavy in his chest he should have knoen it was a trap and staid by the house but like a rookie he ploude in all guns balzing , he sighed a deep sigh and crossed his arms making a promise to do more trainning the next time he was there , he pulled a chair from the porch and sat down he would now not move from that spot till his shift was over. But he after a few mnets needed the bathroom , closing the door he locked it and moved up stairs , over hearing what Robert said to Brian he could not help feel the same, his leaving his post let them in, his inabiity to control his wear side caused him to do what he did, now though he felt he could think clearer thanks to brain.
