And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. N.E.W.T. Class - Lesson 7 Li9olo10

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

N.E.W.T. Class - Lesson 7 Empty N.E.W.T. Class - Lesson 7

Post by James William Wilson Tue Mar 30, 2010 9:58 pm

Wilson entered his new office. Wasn't that strange. He always thought that he would have that lovely and comfy classroom he had before. This new classroom was a nice change. He wrote today's title on the board and his usual note Copy the text from the board!. He sat down and waited for the students to arrive.

Mariana walked into the classroom without a single word not intrested in arguing with Professor AGAIN. She sat down on her usual spot in the corner and took out a piece of parchment, ink and quil starting to write down her notes since that's what was written on the board.

N.E.W.T. Class - Lesson 7 Empty Re: N.E.W.T. Class - Lesson 7

Post by Guest Wed Mar 31, 2010 9:18 pm

Dora opened the door of Defence against the Dark Arts, wondering when she had last gone to that class or classes in general. She had been horribly lax in her studies over the past week or so but she had a reason, probably one that wouldn’t amount to much in the eyes of Professor Wilson but it meant a lot to her. It was a giant leap for Dora and she was feeling a lot more uplifted and a lot happier in herself. So, instead of walking to the nearest desk after shutting the door, she still shut the door but took a seat near the front behind a Gryffindor boy whom she was not familiar with for obvious reasons. Dora took a fresh roll of parchment from out of her bag and took her quill and ink well out with it. She then began to carefully write the notes out in her elegant script which she found was easier to read when she took time with it and didn’t turn it into her usual rushed chicken scratch. Perhaps today’s lesson will be good Dora thought. Sectumsempra was a spell she was unfortunately familiar with although it wasn’t necessarily a bad thing. It just depended how it was used. Although, her father had once told her that even the creator of the spell had called it dark. Dora wasn’t too sure whether she wanted to practice it in a classroom where people could get hurt but she’d give it a go regardless.

N.E.W.T. Class - Lesson 7 Empty Re: N.E.W.T. Class - Lesson 7

Post by Alester Thoth Crowley Thu Apr 01, 2010 2:25 am

Alester strode purposefully into the classroom quite on time and ready for the lesson. He paused only momentarily in the doorway to peruse the classroom before taking a chair near the wall as was his custom. He flopped silently into the seat and dropped his shoulder bag onto the floor with a noisless whiff of air and obediently took out a parchment roll and quill to copy notes as the diction on the board instructed. He hoped to not stand out this lesson and just get bye in this class, a pity as he had thought it would be rather an interesting one.

He casually glanced at the other students before settling in to copy the work as legibly as possible for future use; a soft sigh passing through his lips as he wrote lines down the scroll covering it in very little time. He paused to chew the tip of his quill in thought as he neared the end of the notes he was assigned to copy. He did not know this particluar spell for himself, but had heard of it. He could only hope that it would be enough.

N.E.W.T. Class - Lesson 7 Empty Re: N.E.W.T. Class - Lesson 7

Post by Sophia Granger Thu Apr 01, 2010 3:10 am

Sophia walked into the classroom and nodded towards the professor and took her normal seat in the classroom and looked at the board and noticed it had notes on it. Setting her bookbag on her desk she gotten out a quill and some parchment to write her notes down on. Finally getting everything she needed as well as her wand just in case she put her bookbag under her feet like she always did. Writing down the topic that was on the board in her neat elegant writing, she looked up every now and then to see what was written. "At lease he's not calling us morons and stuff, maybe tday will be a good day."Sophia thought to herself looking up once again to see the board. Sophia could only hope that it was, been then again there was never a perfect class even when you wanted it to be.

N.E.W.T. Class - Lesson 7 Empty Re: N.E.W.T. Class - Lesson 7

''Good day to you all. Seeing that there are not many of you here, but also knowing that there won't be many of you here, I shall start. Today, we have a brilliant example of a attacking dark magic spell. Effective in duels, although not official ones, but also practical stuff. Now, I shan't ask you what the effect of the spell is, but rather show you what it does and see if you can identify it.'', Wilson said, standing up. He took his wand and a piece of paper. He flicked his wand and the paper stood stiff and still in place. ''Now, observe carefully.'', he said. He flicked his wand and a spell flew at the piece of paper, cutting it in pieces. ''Now that you have seen what the spell does, would anyone be so kind and identify it?'', he asked.

N.E.W.T. Class - Lesson 7 Empty Re: N.E.W.T. Class - Lesson 7

Post by Sophia Granger Sat Apr 03, 2010 8:40 pm

Sophia observed the spell and seen the paper has torn into pieces and suddenly knew what spell that was for she used a coupe of times in dueling. Sophia's hand flew up in the air as she waited for Professor Wilson to cal on her. Of course Sophia knew it what the spell was so she written that down with her right hand still up in the air waiting for Professor Wilson. Sophia didn't now if he was going to call on her or not but all she could do was hope. She hoped he didn't think she was a know-it-all for her hand flying up in the air the quickest and the first one up.

N.E.W.T. Class - Lesson 7 Empty Re: N.E.W.T. Class - Lesson 7

Wilson sighed. ''Bloody hell! How many times do I have to say that you do not need to wait for my acceptance. Just answer the bloody question. And yes, I am aware that you know it is Sectumsepmra, everyone could see it. Ten points for my House. But, now, Lestrange, despite the paradox of your surname, another question. What is specific about this spell? What differs it from other spells that can cut things or people into pieces?'', he asked, directing his view towards her.

N.E.W.T. Class - Lesson 7 Empty Re: N.E.W.T. Class - Lesson 7

Post by Sophia Granger Mon Apr 05, 2010 6:01 pm

When he told her she didn't need to rasie her hand she nodded and put her hand down quickly as she raised it. When he asked what is so is specific about this spell and what differs it from any other spells that can cut things or people into pieces. "Well I don't know if this is right, but this spell was invented by Severus Snape."said Sophia taking a breath. "Unlike some spells that cut things and people Sectumsepra can't heal if it's a severe wound or cut, it violently wounds the target; described as being as though the subject had been "slashed by a sword." said Sophia hoping to get it right. If she didn't it wasn't the end of the world; but it would be nice to get some more points for her house.
