Working Out in the Fitness Center

'Just show me," she said. She could usually copy whatever physical movement she saw someone do That was how she had learned to dance at Beauxbatons. And also how she learned so many things Remus taught her. She had known a lot of charms and DADA spells before she had gotten to school, but had had to pretend she was a the level of anyone else to keep from being found out. RIght now she seriously doubted she'd be doing any somersault like movements, but she could commit the information to memory and learn the other kinds of falls. Those might be easier.

"Most of it looks easy enough. Some of it, I'm sure will be far easier after August, though," she laughed. "But maybe we could try some of the simpler, more straightforward sorts of falls?" She had watched the timing of his movements very carefully. "So, if I'm getting it right, your timing on how and when you strike the matt, absorbs the kinetic energy of the fall so that your body does not absorb it, is that about right?"

"On one condition--that you do not laugh at how I look in my swimsuit. I just don't seem to have that bikini figure at the moment. " She smiled, picked up her waterbottle and her coffeecup and went to the ladies locker room. She changed easily and hung her clothes in the locker. She had a matching pair of blue flipflops and went out to the pool. She found him waiting. She got into the water. It felt peaceful for her. It felt like relief for some reason. She was a good swimmer. She had learned on the farm at home, but she had not been swiming for a long time. She had forgotten how much she had missed it. It always brought her such comfort and peace. She could not remember now, why she had, more or less, given it up.

"Swim, I guess," she laughed. She did take few laps back and forth across the pool. It helped her to forget about her issues. It helped her relax. She wasn't sure she wanted to come out. It felt good to be one with the water again. And swimming was easier for her than walking or running and helped her muscles feel better, all at the same time. That seemed to be helpful.

"Feels good too," Khaat sighed, glad for the break. "I used to swim a lot when I was a kid. I have no idea why I gave that up. I didn't realize how much I missed it til now. I'm glad you suggested it. There's a pond towards the back of the farm, and I used to go back there and go swimming a lot. But I didn't do it much after Remus died. I don't remember why. Oh well. Its in the past. For right now, this feels good."
