"Jack," she sat beside him, "You're letting your mind get all hung up on labels. Family doesn't have to be people related to you by blood. The most important family members you will ever have in your life are the people who are most important in your heart--whether they are connected by blood or not. It seems to me that you already have a family with Khaat and Miseria and the people that you love. And as far as all that fighting goes, I think you're finding that there are more important things than fighting, and that shows maturity. I think Jess is going to be just fine on her wedding day. She's only going to be thinking of you. That's all any bride thinks about. Jess's health is just fine. Stop fearing her health so much. If the two of you keep obsessing about her health, you won't enjoy one moment of preparing for your twins. This needs to be a joyful time for the two of you. If Jess is worried about something, don't you absorb that worry as well. You stay positive. If there is something you see as an obstacle, be honest with her and tell her. Get it out of your lives now before your attention is divided with the new babies. That's part of that preparation thing."

Jack looked up at katherine listening to her talk she to him sounds right he had got to involved and was taking on her tenshion "thats the problem everytime I ask her about it she just shuts me out, like she just wants to hold it and not let it go, she's scared and I hsate seeing her this way" he stood up and began pacing and old sadle hung from the rafters as he passed it he hit it and it swung like a punch bag in a gym.

"That's her fear talking, Jack, not her. Go talk to her and let her know that those are old memories. The reality of it is that they can't hurt her anymore. Let her know that there isn't anything the two of you can't do together. And then you need to tell her that, in all honesty, she risks putting a huge wedge in your relationship by not trusting you. A bit of gentle confrontation might be what you need to do. Talk to her and tell her how you feel. You're too protective of her right now, to the point where it is going to damage your relationship. Be honest with her. "

Jack stopped the sadle swinging and looked at her, "yes, I think we do need to talk " he said moving to katherine he smiled "for what its worth I think Khaat is realy lucky to have you as her mother, and jess for having Khaat as a freind "he said" I think she will be awake by now , now better than never , right" he said as he turned to head out the barn "Thanks katherine" he said smiling as he headed back towards the man house and Jessica.

Heading inside he walked up to there room , he saw Jessca sat on the bed gently rubing anti streach cream into her skin, "Jess, we need to talk" he said and closd the door behind him.

Khaat smiled at Miseria, "Oh, who knows if Rob and I will have any more than we do right now of our relationship? I am not going to worry about the future. Its not good to worry about things that are out of our control. And feeling guilty about our past doesn't do any good either. I know. I spent a lot of years feeling guilty that I wasn't there when my uncle was murdered. I spent a lot of time wondering if I had been there if I could have made a difference. My guess, now, is that he would have been preoccupied trying to protect me and Harry and Tonks--all of us, and he would simply have been killed a lot sooner. No, learn to leave the past in the past, Miseria. And let the future handle itself. Live in today instead. And today, you are alive and well, and you need to allow yourself to relax and maybe have a little fun."

Jess looked up at him she saw the look in his eyes the serious ness on his face as he closed the door behind him "Jack I don't want to talk about it. " she said but watching him fold his arms across his chest she pulled down her top and stood up " I WILL NOT DISCUSS IT, IN SOME ONE ELSES HOUSE !!" she said her voice raised as she turned her back to him.

she felt his arms pull her to face him, to look into his eyes as he spoke " JACK, IF I TOLD YOU WHAT HAPPENED WHAT I REMEBR YOU'L NOT WANT ME ANY MORE, NO PLEASE DON'T ASK AGAIN" she was about to walk out the rom when he moved quickly in front of her still asking to know and sayinhg he would not drop it till she spoke to him about it , she could feel the tears welling already at his request "JACK, DON'T MAKE ME PLEASE" she said But he persisted in asking ,she knew he ws rght and she had to let it go she had to tell him no matter what happenedbut she was scared of losing him if she did.

Braking free of his hands she stormed out the room and down to the kitchen where she pored a drink of water for herself , but she neevr got to drink it asn she was spun around back to look at jacks face as he asked her again this time sayng he would pin her to the saink till he got his awnser.

"YOU WANT TO KNOW , REALLY WANT TO KNOW , THEN FINE, HERE IT IS IN ALL IT DETAIL, I WAS TAKEN FROM THE SCHOOL TO A PLACE I DON'T KNOW WHERE, STRIPPED AND TORCHERED FOR MONTHS , ALL I COULD THINK ABOUT WAS YOU AND ANDREW , ALL I SAW WAS THE DARK FIGURE ALL I FELT WAS THE SLICING OF KNIVES AGAINST ME , NO LIGHT, NO SOUND AND ONLY BREAD AND WATER TO KEEP ME ALIVE, BUT IT WAS YOU WHO KEPT ME GOING,THATS WHAT I DREAM AT NIGHT, THATS WHY I CALL YOUR NAME !!" now in a torrent of tears she pushed away from him and went out side trying to find some where to hide from the world.

Jack heard her words and shook his head "no jess we do " he said listenng to how her voice raised "Jess whether it be here or at home we will talk about it we have to" he said again watching her walk to the door as if walking out on the situation. Quickly he moved to infront of her stopping her for the moment.

"Jess you have to let it go there memories nothing more and if you share them they won't hurt as much" he ssaid softly his hands now moving to rest on hr shoulder , but before he could do anything she had pushed him away and headed down the stairs, for a moment he stood contemplating just what he should do. Then he moved down into the kitchen seeing her at the sink he turned her to face him. "JESSICA TELL ME NOW i WILL NOT MOVE TILL YOU DO EVEN IF IT TAKES ALL NIGHT " his own voice now raised at hers, he stood looking into her eysas she let her darkest secret be said to him , now he stood in shock at her words as he felt her push past him and out the kitchen door.

"JESSICA....JESSICA, COME BACK!!" he shouted but got no responce he moved back into the house "Khaat, katherine any one , Jessicas gone!!" he shouted as he grabbed his coat .

Khaat heard Jack's call and looked outside to see Jess going through the yard away from Jack. "I'll be right back, Miseria." She said. She took her wand and apparated a few steps in front of Jess. "What are you doing, Jess?" she asked quietly. "And be honest. Who are you really running from? Jack? Or yourself?"

jess looked at her "HE SHOULD NOT HAVE ASKED!!" she turned away from her "Ow god why me , why this, why now" she said softly but she turned back to her "I TOLD HIM , I TOLD HIM EVERYTHING, HOW I WAS TORTURED , HOW HE WAS THE ONLY THING THAT KEPT ME GOING" her face now wet with ehr tears as she carried on walking away "why would he want me after that" she said threw her sobs.
