Potions - year 1-5

James Wake made it a habit to slip into class at the latest time possible. This limited his contact with the teachers whose company he did not enjoy. The class hadn't officially started, but the instructions were already on the board. After muttering "morning" to another "late" student towards the back of the room, he walked towards the middle row and set up his ingredients. He opened up his textbook and turned to the page about "Boil Cures," and sought out the potion described on the board. He took out the right ingredients, and looked up, almost expectantly at the Professor.

Miseria smiled and stood up. She took her wand and walked to this Noah, giving him quiet hello and then she walked over the classroom and opened the huge case. She took the ingredients and caldron. Potions were her favorite and boiling them... ahh, how good!
She placed all the things on the table and looked at the instructions. Then she continued. She put water in the caldron and made it bowl. And then she waited for guidelines.

Hafiz entered the class shortly after heared the teachers was about to start the lessons. Quickly he sat besides Haley. Pull out his quill and wrote the name of the Potions down. Later on, he wrote down the ingredients just because it will better to look at the notebook rather than strain his eyes to look at the blackboard. Taking out the ingredients for him and Haley from a nearby cupboard. Clinging here and there to find the ingredients because it has to be search properly or if just one glance, the ingredients will never be found.

Following the teacher's lead, he light up the cauldron and began to make the potion. He carefully mix all ingredients to avoid result error. He thought if that happens, his house points might be cut off by other houses.

Keith cursed silently as he slipped into class late. Stupid 6th years, stixking him to the ceiling...again. For the third time this week. He'd have to figure out how to make an itching potion and sneak it into their robes when they weren't looking. Rolling his eyes, he sat down alone at the back of the class and pulled out his potions kit.

Noah groaned inwardly when he realized they would be partnered up. Though hismind eased a bit when his partner turned out to be Miseria. She was a bit...strange, but nice enough. She kept to herself, which was a big plus in Noah's book. He gave her a small smile and pulled out his stuff.

Briony looked with some distaste upon the ingredients she would need for the potion. Nettles were fine; she liked nettles. But slugs? Fangs? Quills? The slugs were disgusting (the garden-killing villains!) and the fangs and quills looked dangerous.

Shuddering, she lit the fire under her cauldron using incendio. It burst into blue flames immediately. The water in the potion started to bubble very quickly, and after a minute Briony actually had to turn it down. She added the fangs, nettles, and slugs evenly after it started to boil. Then she waited, though she kept a watchful eye on it.

When it looked like it was done, she stopped the fire and took the cauldron off it. She then added the quills. The finished potion didn't look like something she'd really want to put near her, but she supposed that it was mostly right.

Haley smiled as Hafiz sat next to her, then she looked around the room to find Willow, she hadn't met her before, but had seen her around. She slowly gathered the stuff that Hafiz brought over, she pecked him on the cheek, "Thank you."

Bane casualy walked into the classroom, and to his great suprise, he was late. He swore too himself. He was sure he was making good time, yet here he was, walking in on multiple students, already in the middle of brewing potions. He decided it best, to not even adress the teacher. Even more to his dismay, Willow already had a partner. Bane took a seat next to the ravenclaw boy, who he knew to be Keith. "Hey." he said.

Abbey picked up her stuff and walked to the table Elijah was sitting at. "Hey!" she said cheerfully. Abbey set the cauldron to a boil like the professor had instructed, and waited for further instructions.

Alice quickly walked into her Potions class. She was almost late. She walked to a desk in the very front row. She wanted to succeed in Potions. She sat down and took out her books and supplies. She was about to take out her quill and parchment when someone bumped into her. "Sorry," Alice mumbled.
