Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Winter Term Normal Charms Class Empty Winter Term Normal Charms Class

Post by Khaat Lupin Sat Jan 09, 2010 3:15 pm

Khaat came into the classroom, Archangel on her shoulder. She wasn't sure how formal Jess had been, but she chose not to wear formal robes, and instead she chose a slim green silk dress. She went up to the board and wrote, "Reparo" on the board. She knew some of them might have learned this spell already, but it was one that a new wizard--and sometimes an experienced one--used often. She conjured a number of empty coffee cups on her desk and began double checking that she didn't forget anything.

Unlike before Elijah was first to class and he noticed it was that wacko Seer that was substituting for Potter. The young Slytherin fought the erg to say something quite rude and question her teaching abilities. He expected she was just as bad as that werewolf that his mother went on about when she found out a werewolf's relation would be working at Hogwarts and no doubt teaching her son. Eli had silenced the Howler but not before he heard what he needed to. He'd give Lupin the respect she deserved but he knew she probably wouldn't expect much of him seeing as he was a lost cause.

"Good Morning, Professor." Eli said lightly, taking a seat at the back of the class and taking out his books.

"Good morning," Khaat said cheerfully. She recognized the student from the teashop at once. She was not about to bring up the prophesy about him or about to treat him one ounce differently from any other student. She presumed he had lessons tough enough ahead of him.

Post by Miseria Lupin Sat Jan 09, 2010 6:56 pm

Once again the door fell open and closed with a big bang behind blue haired girl who entered the class room. Charms! This was the easiest lesson in school. So good as Potions and Defence against the dark arts. And her smile widened when she saw the teacher. Khaat! It was like all her problems were gone now. Her mother was here! “Good day,“ she then said, holding her voice low so no one could hear the happiness in her tone. If there wouldn't be Elijah, Miseria would dance around not sit in front row so she could be near her mother.

"Good morning," Khaat said with the same cheerfulness as she had for any other student. Whether Miseria was her daughter or not, she would be treated, during this class, like any other. It was the only fair way to be for everyone involved, and Khaat knew that Miseria would not expect special treatment. She was very capable of earning her own grades, and Khaat knew that full well.

"Good morning, Ladies," Khaat smiled, "I'll wait a few moments before I begin. But in the meantime, would you introduce yourself and tell me what charm you like best so far and tell us why?"

Post by Keith Nicholas Sat Jan 09, 2010 10:59 pm

Keith trotted into the charms class, checking his watch to make sure he wasn't late. Then he remembered that his watch didn't tell time, just flashed pretty colors an annoyed him. He sighed and rolled his eyes.

But he seemed to be on time, which was good. Charms was his favorite class. He nodded towards the professor and took his usual seat at the back of the class.

Post by Khaat Lupin Sat Jan 09, 2010 11:10 pm

"Welcome, Class," Khaat said warmly. "I am Khaat Lupin. You don't have to call me Professor Lupin--that was my uncle. You can just call me Khaat. Welcome to Charms class. I will be filling in for Professor Potter for awhile, as I said in my owl to you all, so there may be some overlap or gaps between what he taught and how he taught it. For that I do apologize. If the gap is uncomfortable for you in either direction, please come talk to me in my office outside of class time. My office is just down the hall, and the name is on the door. As for class rules and guidelines, we will be following the same rules and guidelines as Professor Potter's, so I am sure you are familiar with those.

"My goal for this class is to teach you some things that I think will be practical. However, I also want the class to be fun and interesting, and in order to do that we both need to make an investment in the class--you as students, and me as the instructor. I will be open and honest with you and do all I can to help you. In return, I expect your honesty and your efforts at making this class successful for yourself and your classmates.

"Now--for introductions. Please state your name and what you would like to learn most out of this class. Oh, and one more thing. please tell me your favorite charm so far. Who will begin?"
