Khaat's House in Hogsmeade--(open)

"I am sorry for underestimating your 'intelligence' Narcissa," Vincent said with a sneer. "I just didn't expect you to be any smarter than your little failure of a husband Lucius is." She made a good point that the people who went to Azkaban did deserve punishment, but not on that scale. "The Ministry has always valued themselves not to sink down to the levels of its opposition do, that is why we got rid of the Dementors. If the ministry does not get things done that well anymore, it is just because we, unlike you and your family, haven't sank that low to be allies to the forces of evil," he argued, annoyed at her insults to the ministry.

"Well, Andrian, "Khaat said, "It was Professor Wilson and Mr. Majere who were responsible for Shacklebolt's arrest--and for injuring me. And now they appear to be in charge of Hogwarts. How else was I supposed to react? Obviously the school has fallen into poor hands. My odds for survival were not very good there. There weren't a lot of people I could trust. And as for Hogwarts reputation for being such a safehold, I think that was just flushed down the proverbial toilet. I don't think there's one room in it that has any element of safety anymore. And any parent who leaves his child there is a fool."

Grinning, she landed cups on the table. It seemed that they won't leave the kitchen soon. So she sat down again and looked at him:“sorry for comanding all of you at the Hospital but I just had to. This thing was emergent,“ she said, shrugging and then she turned her face at Khaat:“You said they attacked you and Shacklebolt. Why and where? And how long time ago?“ she asked quietly. Now when she's here, she had to know the truth. And what about the others? “Andrian, did you see Lucy and Jack? Where are they?“ she asked him.

“Be mindful of your tongue Majere because it might just be cut off.” Narcissa hissed. “You should be sincere when apologising, not patronising.”

Narcissa’s wand was like a rod of fire burning her skin. She so badly wanted to throw a curse at him but she hat to be careful with what she said. She could have jumped to Lucius’ defence but ultimately chose not to. He was rather rash with his decisions but he got the job done at the end of the day.

“There is no good or evil - only power and those to weak to seek it.” Narcissa said simply. “The Ministry has an ego to protect and wont use valuable resources in the form of Evil as you so put it. My family have connections, nothing more. I do not believe in some of the things my family has chosen to do but those aren’t my actions, they are that of others. Allies of ‘Evil’ or not we all have a way of living - even if it isn’t as we’d all like.”

OOC: Miseria, Jack and Lucy are in the living room now, presumably. I opened the door for them a few pages back, but they weren't "on" to actually say they came in.

Obviously he had made Narcissa quite angry, which was what he was trying to do. Still, it was good she had managed to control herself. Good for her, that was. Still, what she had said made some sense. At last, something to show that she wasn't all that stupid after all. Still, Vincent was tired of the argument, and just wanted to leave now. It was clear that he wouldn't find allies here. They would regret being on the wrong side of him. "Whatever, I have better things to do then argue with old women," Vincent responded curtly. "Now where is Lupin?" he asked loudly, hoping she would hear. This was quite horrible hospitality, though he knew that Lupin probably didn't care to make a good impression on him. Well, it was her loss, she had chosen the wrong side.

Khaat sighed deeply, hearing Majere shout for her. Surely he was not that much of an imbicile that he actually thought she was well enough to keep chasing after him. "I'm in the kitchen, Majere," she called, "feel free to come through." As if I could stop him anyway, she thought. She didn't want him to know that she just wasn't sure she could get up out of her chair much more.

Vincent narrowed his eyes, and got up from the chair. He looked once again at Narcissa before leaving the room to the kitchen. Clearly, Khaat was not even trying to impress Vincent or anything. "Well Lupin, you have clearly shown that you have no intentions of helping me improve Hogwarts unlike Lupin, or even trusting me for that matter," Vincent said calmly. "And I, seeing the company you keep, won't bother trying to make you trust me. Let me just tell you, you have indeed chosen the wrong side - like your uncle. And will end up just like him as well."

Miseria scowled when she heard Majere shouting and then entering the kitchen. She turned herself around and looked at him, face pale and emotionless as always:“Mr. Majere, I think that she's old enough and she doesn't need your advice since you're trying to have her on your side,“ she said calmly, voice appearing to be cold. Then she let one cup fly towards him and smiled:“Coffee, sir?“ she offered.

"The biggest improvement you can make to Hogwarts is to step down from headmaster and bring Shacklebolt back, " Khaat said, her eyes flashing. "And don't you dare try to bring my uncle into this. He would have killed you a long time ago. And if I end up like him, so much the better! I would not be ashamed of following his path in the least!" She got up, pushed past him and went back out to the living room. She looked at Narcissa. "He does not know how close he is coming to my killing him, " she told her, sitting back on the sofa again, and picking up her wand now.
